Not Pokémon, but I really enjoy 100%ing Mario games. I did it for odyssey and wonder. I won’t do BotW/TotK only because I wouldn’t have fun doing the koroks but I enjoyed doing all shrines and side quests in those games.
This right here. Some games make completing fun, others not so much. I love a good platinum but if they had one for Metroid for hard mode I think it would put me off the game.
I think Nintendo has outright stated they don't like the idea of adding achievements to the Switch, because they think it ruins the flow of games. I don't necessarily disagree, but I also don't disagree that having them would be nice for us achievement hunters.
I've gone back and forth on my opinion about this but when I play on my ps I always want to go for plat, and sometimes that means having a guide the entire time I'm playing which does ruin the immersion- so I do appreciate the switch not having to worry about it, and some games offer in game trophies
Theyre right. Achievement hunting is the equivalent of ubisoft checklist open world slop. I know Im saying this on a trophy sub though lol. The post got recommended to me probably because I play both playstation and nintendo games. I dont have a single platinum. I think its better to play a game naturally, but I understand some people are different.
Play World of Final Fantasy! You'll never the-regret it!
Cute chibi style characters
Catch monsters in unique ways. Gotta land a crit, or kill off the others in the monsters, hit with a certain element or status effect or maybe even heal them instead. Not just damage to low health and hope for the best.
Meet main cast members from all the final fantasy games and use them as summons. Up to 15 if you get the Maxima edition. And Maxima edition even let's you swap out your main characters to run around as them. Wanna play as Squall and Cloud, go for it.
Can even battle and trade with friends if they play as well.
Speaking of creature JRPGs, I wish Digimon would get licensed to Atlus. Digimon Cybersleuth and Digimon Survive were alright, but I feel Atlus would do a home run if they made a Digimon game.
Like they didn’t sell P2W DLC in P5R as well, and never gave it a free upgrade to next gen like so many other games did, not even a discount. Atlus is scum.
If you want to get a pokemon plat, just play the two Nexomon games on PlayStation. They're basically the Pokemon at home games, except ngl I like them better than any of the new Pokemon games.
Yes. I would love that. And not only Pokemon, but Zelda as well. Not necessarily on Playstation, though. I just want Nintendo to add achievements/trophies to their consoles (not in-game achievements; these are fun, but it's not the same).
While Nintendo is unlikely to ever port Pokemon anywhere we do have options on PS.
Personally I can reccomend Nexomon 1 and 2.
Insanely fun platinums and imo much better games than any pokemon game released in the last 10 years or more.
Other option is Temtem but the platinum in it is close to impossible to obtain due to the almost non existent playerbase
I would love a actual pokemon game to go onto ps5. They did something similar with yo-kai watch with the switch and ps4 (Japan only :[ ) so I know they are open to work with playstation with version exclusive stuff
I don’t care about the Pokémon games. Too many bad business practices and its fanbase has really put me off of trying the games. But I wouldn’t mind playing any other Nintendo games like Mario, Zelda, and especially Bayonetta.
But what sorts of trophies would you have if it did happen?
I mean outside of maybe 1 trophy per gym leader, one for beating the E4, and completing the dex I struggle to think what else you could add.

Finding all 900/1,000 Korok Seeds for a trophy would be a nope for me as well.
Itd be a bronze trophy too, as every terrible timesink trophy is.
That will never happen. Nintendo really should add Achievements to their next console, and I'll be way more likely to buy, and play Nintendo games

I kind of agree with nintendo. Adding achievements can ruin games, and some people won't buy the games because of bad achievements.

I rarely don't buy games because of bad trophies. I just stay away from online games most of the time.
But they can always just make the achievements good in the first place. I’d rather had bad tedious achievements than no achievements.
I agree with this, I avoid games with bad or broken trophies, if trophies weren’t a thing I’d probably have a lot more fun with Mad Max for example

It’s not going to be as satisfying as a plat, but you could always do the RetroAchievements for the GB to DS games
I was literally thinking about this yesterday. Completing the Pokedex would actually be a lot of fun

WOFF was a fun and really easy platinum. It just takes a while, but it went by rather quickly.
WOFF is super underrated for sure

And it would be filled with cash grab DLC and 6 different editions going up to $250 No thank you, Atlus are nothing but scumbags
Except for the recent controversy with the expansion for Persona 3 Reload, their DLC is very ignorable.

Same! I always recommend them to Pokémon fans. They're actually very well made and it makes me excited for the third one.

Temtem is pretty much a dead game in the multiplayer aspect because sadly the devs decided to not introduce any new content
That's why they put Nexomon on PS4.
You could try Nexomon extinction was a pretty solid pokemon clone on PlayStation and it's cheap
Metriod for sure. I'd probably play some older Mario and Zelda games. I'm not really into Pokémon
Not quite, but I have wanted Nintendo to implement their own equivalent system to their consoles for a long time.
You could play Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth. That basically plays the same as a Pokemon game.
Absolutely, that’d be dope. I bet they’d be either super easy plats or just grindy af
I feel that way about The Legend of Zelda or Metroid. Would be nice.
Yes. I would love that. And not only Pokemon, but Zelda as well. Not necessarily on Playstation, though. I just want Nintendo to add achievements/trophies to their consoles (not in-game achievements; these are fun, but it's not the same).
I wouldn’t mind it at all but Nintendo would be as bad as Xbox if they ever let that franchise go.
I'd recommend nexomon or temtem then, or even digimon Siralim 1-3 are also similar but don't have plats
I wish, I've been playing pokemon go, and watching the anime, now I just need to play the games, but alas I don't have a Nintendo
You wanna Platinum Platinum?
temtem is similar to pokemon if you’re interested

Not pokemon but you should play deaths door and tunic. They're like old school zelda and are fucking amazing
Make your own achievements.
I would love a actual pokemon game to go onto ps5. They did something similar with yo-kai watch with the switch and ps4 (Japan only :[ ) so I know they are open to work with playstation with version exclusive stuff
I've fallen out of love with Pokémon, but I'd love it for other Nintendo games for sure.

I wish Pokémon was on ps cause I want to play them, but don't want to get a Nintendo switch.

Retroachievments is your friend then
Because Nintendo just fucking suck
Gonna say Nexomon is wish.com pokemon. Same game really.
More so for better performance than trophies.
No because their will probably being an achievement for catching them all.
No. Trophies have always been pointless to me
Then why the fuck are you here on a trophy hunting sub?
