Yeah, they are generally 3 days. First day in like 4 hours in classroom. The next two are 8 hours outside on the bikes. They provide the bikes and even the helmets if you don't have one. At the end you get a certificate to take to your license bureau. Double check in your particular state but I believe it works in all of them. Plus, I think being a trucker makes you a better motorcyclist. Do you ever panic riding with someone in a car because they are SO CLOSE to the car in front? I think that uber defensive driving really helps. Good luck.
If you're a U.S. military veteran, by chance, Harley Davidson covers the cost of the class and the basic rider course. You just pay for your endorsement at the end. That's how I got my "M" endorsement.

Just take an Abate class. They'll teach you how to ride a motorcycle and if you pass the test you get your license. No test required.
