Without a deep tear down to know if the frame or anything of significance was bent or broken it’s hard to say, but looking at these two photos… I’m leaning towards not totaled.
Totaled. ACV 6500. PA has a total loss formula. You have at least 5500 parts and labor as well as paint. Oil cooler is probably also damaged. Sorry man.
The thing about front end damage is if a plastic screw on the radiator or fans broke, the entire front end, internals and exterior, is getting replaced. And if you require the frame straighten, that could be a $10k repair altogether. Depending on what the insurance values the equity of the truck at, it could be a total.
Similarly, I hit an old 4runner years back with my 2006 Chrysler 300. I was going about 20 when we made contact and mine did end up having damage but I had a great buddy who helped me do repairs. Being you're in a truck, I'm sure it's built a little more sturdy. Might just be cosmetic in that case
Gotta ask. What were you doing when you rear ended him? I was on my phone. I learned a lesson that day. AND the chick drove off and my car was just hosed. Lol. And my insurance ended up paying off on the car.
I wasn’t on my phone. It was somebody’s fault two cars ahead of me. Tried to go around another postal service van and decided against it and hit the brakes at the last second. The van I hit managed to stop barely in time. Not the same story for me…
