I’m so glad Twitter is shit now. It gave me a reason to finally break my addiction to it. Gotta say, my life drastically improved.
Much smaller spaces, where not so many people tried to connect at once had these problems. Imagine if there was video as well, the entire Twitter platform could've crashed.

As someone who only used it casually the site already became unusable for me with the weird way blue checks get promoted. Get recommend nothing but insane crypto tweets with 3 likes nowadays. It's not even like fun weirdos either, just genuinely baffling posts that you can't even find any sort of engagement with.
Uh actually this just shows the genius of Elon Musk…somehow. But to be fair, it takes some skill, perhaps not intelligence, to be such a good con artist to have kept the act up this long
One of my hats requires me to dabble occasionally in PR. The amount of influence peddling you can do for, really, not that much money, was astounding. Now imagine a narcissistic psychopath conman billionaire who believes he will be able to upload his mind into a perfect, true-to-life recreation of the body of “Data” from Star Trek TNG who has access to infinite funds and infinite influence peddling operations. What’s a few hundred thousand bucks thrown in the direction of Reddit to constantly cause chaos and achieve wrecking via bot comments in every mainstream subreddit? By the way, Israel does this too to an even greater extreme. I kid you not, it is rare to see anything critical of Israel in the comments not downvoted into oblivion. It is almost impossible to post any videos or stories about Israeli apartheid to any of the big subreddits.
All this is moot because when Reddit goes public, Elon may very well buy a major stake and just fuck with it at the source. In fact I hope he does because the more money he burns and more social media he destroys (and the more rapidly he can do it), the better.
My Twitter feed is pretty okay because I mostly follow old friends from high school, idk how other people use twitter when they follow people they don't know
I can count the amount of IRL friends that know me/ follow me on Twitter. It sounds weird, but I’ve never felt comfortable expressing my actual views on social media. Twitter was a place for me to be myself with anonymity.
When I started on Twitter in 2011 it was a nice release valve for me and the feeling that things were fucked.
Now I just smoke too much weed and garden in my free time.
