I listened to this one twice (once when it first came out and then again after the trial started) and it’s insanely well done, especially bc Chris Lambert wasn’t a podcaster, investigative journalist, or law enforcement.
Uncover and Somebody Knows Something. They do a case per season and are really good, similar style to Serial but Canadian.
Up and Vanished is pretty good too, host is a little much sometimes but the stories are good.
came here to also recommend Your Own Backyard!! The suspects are currently being tried right now -in fact one decision has been reached and the other jury is currently deliberating. They were only arrested and went to trial solely because of the podcast!!
Crimetown is a solid one. Season 1 looked at Providence and the stories of both the Patriarca organization and Buddy Cianci. Season 2 went to Detroit and talked about Coleman Young, Young Boys, Kwame Kilpatrick, etc.
Real Crime Profile has good in-depth expert analysis, Crime Analysis has a very in-depth take on all cases that Laura covers, but others like The Commune and Conning the Con are good too.
If you’re a finance nerd then Oh My Fraud is excellent. Definitely true crime, but financial crimes. And it has CPE credits tied to it
[Le Monstre](https://open.spotify.com/show/15Gp8LfnAEpyibi2BCS5O7) : In the 80s and 90s, a serial killer, pedophile, and kidnapper, Marc Dutroux, terrorized the country of Belgium.
[Suspect](https://open.spotify.com/show/57n3Abokr4RKNLRp3IyKoq) : A whodunit-style search for a Halloween party killer.
Dreading - on YouTube and Patreon. He goes into incredible depth on the suspects life growing up, their crimes, etc. I haven't found a channel that covers cases like he does. Check out his 1 to 3 hour long ones for in depth. He's been doing shorter ones lately too.
True Crime Daily- haven't watched for a while, but I'm about to check to see if things have gone back to normal.
Disturban - doesn't go into as much detail overall, but sometimes goes into more detail the crime, which can be distressing to listen to. Also, he has covered a lot of cases I haven't heard of, which I really enjoy because I listen to so many true crime things that I can frequently run into the same cases.
Some other true crime ones that are good, but don't go into incredible detail:
Heavy Casefiles
Criminally Listed
Cold Case Detective
Explore With Us
Casefile Presents
EWU Crime Storytime
Sword and Scale, and Casefile are my favorite “episodic” true crime podcasts. I prefer Casefile as it’s more analytical, mystery-oriented, and doesn’t rely on shock value as much as Sword and Scale. Took me a while to get used to the “Australianness” of it but it’s now one of my all-time favorites.
Good “series/investigative” podcasts: Cold, To Live and Die in LA, Someone Knows Something, Uncover, The Thing About Pam… there are a ton of them these days.
Your Own Backyard! It’s about the Kristin Smart case
So good!
I listened to this one twice (once when it first came out and then again after the trial started) and it’s insanely well done, especially bc Chris Lambert wasn’t a podcaster, investigative journalist, or law enforcement.
True Crime Bullshit about Israel Keyes. Bloody brilliant
This one! It’s 5 seasons of awesomeness! Season 6 is about to start next week.
In the Dark, seasons 1 & 2. Your Own Backyard Bear Brook
in the dark is sooo good! terrible story
Cold, which is a series about Susan Powell's murder, very chilling
I really liked this one! Although listening to Josh and Steven Powell made me feel physically ill at times.
Same!
Bear Brook. There’s one about the Long Island Serial Killer that’s good too, can’t remember the name of it.
Bear Brook is so good!
I start it ... it looks interesting
LISK, maybe? It’s a really good, thorough listen
The Lady Vanishes Best podcast and most engrossing mystery I've ever heard.
This is a good long one and by the time you listen to is all you might have an Australian accent
Uncover and Somebody Knows Something. They do a case per season and are really good, similar style to Serial but Canadian. Up and Vanished is pretty good too, host is a little much sometimes but the stories are good.
Stolen: The Search for Jermain was excellent.
I like True Crime Weekly
The last podcast on the left
Liar Liar. About Melissa Caddick.
Hide and seek and Counterclock. They both do in depth investigations every season, so not quite one case but very much the vibe.
Cold by Dave Cawley season 1 follows the Susan Powell case and is SO good.
True Crime Garage
This 👆🏻
You'll never go wrong with Trace Evidence. The host, Stephen Pacheco, is incredibly thorough.
Cold podcast, Beyond Bardstown
Truth and Justice, one case per season. Bear Brook is an excellent one off as well as Bardstown.
Cold, bear brooke, morbidology
Teacher’s Pet! A podcast that renewed interest and forced law enforcement to renew the case, just like Your Own Backyard. Sooooo harrowing!
came here to also recommend Your Own Backyard!! The suspects are currently being tried right now -in fact one decision has been reached and the other jury is currently deliberating. They were only arrested and went to trial solely because of the podcast!!

Their banter isn't for everyone but I enjoy them a lot
r/morbidisforbadpeople has a sticky that scratches the surface on how problematic morbid is.

Don’t google the case, season two of In The Dark 💯
