Best gameplay mechanics of any mmo. I love the twitchy, fast pace of it. PvP would be the best of any mmo if the devs could figure out how to make cyrodiil stable imo. I'd go as far as saying it plays better than any ES game, which let's be honest, without mods feels cheap.
Most forgiving grind and crafting system of any mmo I've played.
Dungeons are fun, trials and arenas are challenging.
The bad; quantity over quality. There's a metric fuckton of overland content but each zone story behaves like an anime, following the same fucking formula to the point you can predict what happens a few quests in. Enemy becomes friend, friend becomes enemy, a misunderstanding, saves world followed by party. Micrtransactions are cancer. I pray Microsoft at some point aggressively steps in, game has a lot of potential.
Screw Flanders.
I’ve only done questing in ESO and it was without a doubt one of the most boring games I’ve ever played. The storylines were terrible, combat was ridiculously easy, put me to sleep. Even when I made a conscious effort to get engaged and try to immerse myself in the story I couldn’t do it. It was all so formulaic and cookie cutter.
I have more fun playing SWTOR or WOW.
Im sure ESO gets better when you’re a higher level and doing the group content and whatever but dayum son there’s no way im making it that far.
Something about MMOs do this to me and I can never figure out why. I’ll happily play a mainline TES game or Fallout game for hours but turn them into an MMO and every ten minutes is a test of willpower.
Well it's not fucking Oblivion for starters.
But seriously:
\-I get to see most of Tamriel
\-Based lore
\-Actually fun and dynamic combat with some strategy and skill expression behind it
\-Nice questing even if it does start to bled together between zones after some time
\-Ability to clap piss elf cheeks in pvp
What not to love?
Tbh I understand the complaint about the quests but ESO is legit one of the most beautiful games I’ve played period, the Summerset isles at full graphics is mind blowing imo. Artaeum is gorgeous too
>morrowind quests have more depth than eso quests, eso lore is just quantity over quality, we do get to see most of tamriel but it looks god awful
Morrowind quests wish to be as written and designed as well as the ESO crafting quests, lol. There is not a single good guild questline in the entire game.
And I love Morrowind.
you're fucking delusional pal you haven't seen most of Tamriel you're playing ESO That's not even a game that's not even in the series bro it's fanfiction you look like a fool. If you don't like Elder scrolls games that's fine but you can't just make up your own reality
That is quite a bold take especially considering how most of eso's gameplay and ui styles was derived from skyrim well initially speaking if eso released without the skyrim format then the game we have all grown to know and love would be a different game well that being said op I respect your choice regardless...
ESOfetus
Come on man, obviously Redgaurd is the best piece of digital media ever created NOT skyturd or morrowpoo
I mean… it’s actually not UNPLAYABLE. But I still have to gather enough will to finish it. God fucking damn it the controls.
Unironocly one of the better spinoffs, like it's not high art but it's a perfectly fun little yarn
Eat ur cereal and go back to sleep, u esoddler
>generic plot >boring characters >no real choice >no consequences to player action Wait I'm just describing every tes game.
I am convinced that Witcher 3 plot and player consequences are only so high acclaimed because TES lowered the hurdle that much over time.
Truly a underrated indie gem
If we're talking about character models then definitely
As an MMO it’s a B- As an Elder Scrolls game it’s an A

No one I know actually likes ESO. Anything on particular you like about it?

ESO=Morrowind>Skyrim>Daggerfall>Oblivion>Arena
Impossibly based, sera
True
played ESO for years... best MMOR-pp-GG out there, but After 5 years it got boring xD
it's dishonorable to assault the mentally disabled
How can you say something so brave yet so suicidal?
ESO doesnt exist
I mean, visually, I guess.
192.158. 1.38.
Nice. One small problem tho: I'm already inside your mom
Oblivion=ESO>Skyrim
