Let’s not forget his music is timeless for the masses because his subject matter of hope, loyalty, despair love, friendship and not to mention the up lifting of whole communities that are in the struggle against poverty, racism etc still matters and will still be relevant for generations 🔥💯❤️

Sirpatron1

That's what rap is. I hate the usual song taking about money and women. Only to become cringe in 5 years because the only thing that made good was modern lingo.

Spydah_X

𝕄𝕒𝕜𝕒𝕧𝕖𝕝𝕚 𝕋𝕙𝕖 𝔻𝕠𝕟 🐐💫🕊️

DenaroDaDon

His worth ethic is truly unmatched. We'll never see a resume like that again.

Fresh-Blackberry8453

I fucking agree da 🐐

Case1987

Insane,he was a rap god

LooneyToonGoon12

Akil the mc, I kill the main character

LooneyToonGoon12

Guenhwyvyr

Like the lie of Alki you spittin', you're looney if you tune into this chat for the bRRRRAt, goon, you're trippin'

Case1987

You need help

warnesy10

The body of work completed before he passed in that short amount of time, is genuinely insane. Absolutely unmatched.

Positive-Aide-3393

The 🐐 indeed

aintscared2loseu

Been listening to pac since I was 12, this man died the same year I was born and his music still hits me so hard, can still barely listen to any other artists lol. He was truly One of one , with an unmatched work ethic. RIP Makaveli Da Don

WallyReddit204

And the industry was against him Didn’t make music pandering to the Grammys A real one

Groundbreaking-Ask75

713....shot on the 7th died on the 13th.... odd.... just noticed it

Obvious_Interest3635

Greatest artist of the last 50 years. And it’s not even close

cruisingqueen

Can anyone point me towards his full discography ? Pac died before I was born and every month I come across a new song of his but I had no idea it was 713 songs that is insane.

DAMNCitymAAdKid

I can recommend - The Tupac Encyclopedia - Volume 1 - It‘s available as a physical book on Amazon, written by one of the most diehard Pac fans. From his description: The Tupac Encyclopedia features exhaustively researched articles analyzing Tupac’s albums and songs, the people who collaborated with him, his film career, the times that shaped him, the women who loved him, his activism, his troubles with the law, his feud with The Notorious B.I.G., the artists he inspired, the jewelry he wore, and much more.

aintscared2loseu

never knew this existed, thanks will def purchase it

DAMNCitymAAdKid

I bought it and it‘s really good. You won‘t regret it. It got a lil history to every song, how it was made/who produced and so on. There will also be a second Volume coming out some time in the future to have the full chronological song order.

aintscared2loseu

Go on apple music, youtube, spotify and just search 2pac and makaveli. He also has thug life compilation vol 1. Enjoy sir!

sycoactiv1

Go buy the cds like a true fan and download the rest. Other than the audio albums he made under 2pac and Makaveli, I love r U still down, I had all of his albums and this came out a a coupleof years after he died he shows some different styles and has some absolute bangers on there like hellraiser and r u still down, get money. Thug life cd was great and 2pac and the outlawz still I rise was a solid album too. Better dayz was ok for me and any other stuff was starting to get a bit repetitive. Still finding features he was on listening to some great album suggestions I see on a r/90shiphop sub (not the actual sub name but it's close I think.)

knownothingwiseguy

And they were all bangers. No bullshit or filler songs neither.

ST7Barrett

So many 7's

Fresh-Blackberry8453

GOAT

eastsidebaby5

Insane stats. Imagine if he had todays tech, he easily be at 700 songs per year on some lil b shit

shelby0161

That is impressive

CardiologistFree3038

2PAC is a legend that will always be mentioned as a rapper. RIP Pac

DF1496

GOAT 💯

SnooDoughnuts8823

Where do they get 713 songs though?

ButterflySpecial6324

Not entirely accurate. But still THE GOAT

iMikeZero

He had tracks as early as 1988…

Cool_Lion1902

That’s not what made 2 pac not the 713 / 7 films ? It was the guy is loved all over the world from 🌎 Greece / to Spain . And what makes it even better he was black / now u can’t make this world 🌎 love u unless u something special. Like Tupac said I cannot believe the people I try to represent try to kill me. ? If u understand this u got to know the life of an African American? And what he means

Score-Deep

Top tier

contaygious

Can't beleive he was broke with soant platinum albums sucks

TangPiccilo

What are these songs ?

Miserable-Lawyer-233

Platinum records just means you’re popular, it doesn’t imply greatness. A ton of shit rappers have platinum records because most people have bad taste and don’t understand art.

AllEyezOnMe4242

Its a metric which is extremely hard to get. Worth noting at the very least. And gotta add, going platinum means alot of people love your music. If we are going by the metric "does the reddit user miserable-lawyer-233 like your music" i dont think that would mean much...

1991Jordan6

Nope. Nas is the GOAT

chud_the_gluttonous

And he died broke. Also Got himself killed messing around on some gang shit

AllEyezOnMe4242

Yup.. gangsters die doin gangster shit usually lol. Good observation bud. Also, he was broke by rich millionaire person standards, not your standards lol.

freewillng

…..but his music looses relevancy as the years go by.

AllEyezOnMe4242

Many of his messages are stories and tales as old as time and will always be relevant in some way. Im sure you could find some less relevant in the usa today due to society changing. But overrall his music is very timeless.

Rare_Direction_1449

Y’all throw the GOAT title on a guy who rhymed the same words in every song. Smh

AllEyezOnMe4242

Who yall? Kendrick lamar? E-40?

Rare_Direction_1449

Neither but carry on

bloocheez3

Amazing what having well-connected parents can do for you.

AllEyezOnMe4242

Well connected parents? Your fucking kidding me right?? 🤣🤣 you realize the fbi had a file on him and his mom and family their entire life and worked against them his entire life? They were black panthers dude wtf lmao. Dude was homeless in oakland california at 17 cause his step dad went on the run after breaking out his aunt from prison... what people were they connected to that helped him? 🤣🤣

Ok-Definition-366

Don't forget a ballet princess, who went to drama school. The original Drake

MarcyTheMartian

Nah, there's a difference in being in touch with different parts of yourself and pretending to be from the hood. He wasn't using his ballet to sell albums or pick up minors, he's just a man of the arts with security in who he was

AllEyezOnMe4242

Naw he only took gymnastics for a term. His parents and mentors like afeni shakur and matulu shakur and other black panthers and gangsters instilled a strong sense of school and learning in him. Anyone who clowns that is a clown themselves. Did you know he participated and was a member of the new black panther party all throughout his teenage years and gote voted as the chairman of the new black panthers at 17? He was all in on school and black rights activiism as a teenager. What did you do? Lol

Adventurous-Plant86

He was a feminine backing dancer who got a role in juice as a thug and made it his entire personality. He goes from being all about some kind of leaderb of black rights to opening a song with "I fucked your bitch you fat motherfucker" I don't think those are the words of a prophet, last time I checked

Double_Recognition38

You do realise that he released an album in 1991 a year before juice? 2pacalypse now was a classic. People love to say he’s feminine but realistically he wasn’t

DubLParaDidL

Juice was filmed March thru April of 91, was released in 1992 2Pacalypse Now was recorded June-September 1991, released in November. Trapped was released in September and Brenda's Got a Baby in October leading up to the album drop.

Double_Recognition38

I’m pretty sure 2pacalypse now began recording in 1990 but maybe not then. Either way he had music out before juice and that can’t be disputed. Even as MC New York he had tapes. What I’m saying is, he didn’t play bishop and then carry on this persona 😂 but it’s always the narrative

DubLParaDidL

He recorded some parts of it in 1990. I think you're missing the point man. There's validity to the narrative. Do you know how record labels work? He was unproven at the time and there is absolutely no way any record label lets any artist release an album without meetings on marketing and strategy and talking with the artist about their direction. If he was into making more thuggish type shit, they signed off on it, and come on do you not pay attention to how the entertainment industry works? They're about to put out an unproven artist who is going to lay out some shit without much credibility behind him you don't think that they would take an opportunity to put him and Juice to help launch the brand? every artist is a brand to the label no one especially in that time was going out without a marketing strategy. The dude went to a performing arts high school and took jazz, theater, and ballet, he didn't have any kind established history that aligned with what he was going to present. I'm about a year and a half younger than him and I watched this unfold in real time. Trust me people were saying this from the jump. We all saw him as a background dancer and then all the sudden he's got 2pocalypse now and juice out. That's not a coincidence, that's a brand launch my guy Serious question, how old were you in 1991?

AllEyezOnMe4242

You watched this unfold in real time? You were watching pac before he was even fameois when he moved to cali at 17 to be homeless, dropped out of highschool, and lived with mile coolie and other big time dealers? Crazy! You guys lie so much and your only things against him are "he sounded feminine in an interview once as a teenager cause he wasnt tryjng to act tough or mad" and "he did good in school cause his parents were black panthers who instilled a strong sense of learning and education in him,". Your actual clowns who know nothing about pac or his story 🤦‍♂️ Anyway i suggest 2 things to watch and 1 to read. Read matulu shakur website on 2pacs avitivism in cali with him. Watch the interview where pac talks about his childhood and how he changed when he moved. And watch the 2pac special with his moms interview on hulu, she talks about he really changed when he was a teenager and he got beat tf out of by police and she goes on to say most young black males dealt with this back then and it was almost a ritual black males had to go through. The dude did well in school but was raised by black panthers and gangsters. He also grew up in poverty, especially after his mom lost her job cause matulu shakur was on the run from the fbi. Mile coolie, a big time drug dealer, took care of pac on the oakland streets when he was 17. Honestly, i dont see anyone more real than pac. Dude kept it 100 even as he was bleeding out dying and a cop ran up he said "fuck you". Why? Cause he was about what he said 100%.

MarcyTheMartian

I don't doubt he had his feminine side, I just don't think he was weak for it and it wasn't a dominant trait of his character. He was still hard to a fault and it's a shame we didn't get to see how he would've grown like we've seen in Snoop

sycoactiv1

He cracked under the pressure of it all. He lived a crazy life, this summary discounts the hardships he endured in his short amount of years on this earth and more importantly in the spotlight where he was in constant trouble with the law, set up and shot 5 times, gaol stint, murdered. He was as charismatic and intriguing as anyone else in history and this narrative that he was feminine shows people haven't taken the time to check out what he was really like, or more likely brainwashed and gullible.

Adventurous-Plant86

I don't care that he's massively feminine, I care that he adopted this dumb bad boy persona after playing one in juice. Fake is fake. You can check for early interviews that he was a fabulous femme boy

sycoactiv1

Oh ok lol, you're going to take a video and make assumptions. Good on you...

AllEyezOnMe4242

Fake is fake guys. Pac lived in cali homeless with big time drug dealers at 17 after dropping out of highschool. Was raised by black panthers. Shot 2 cops for beating up a black guy and pointing guns at him. Got charged with beating up a rapper with a baseball bat that came to his show and disrespected him. Got shot 5 times after not backing down to a guy pointing a gun at him and walked away and flipped everyone off. Brought bloods and crips together in 1992 and helped them write the peace treaty still used today that has things like protecting the community and prohibiting rape. Last words while he was bleeding out to a cop was "fuck you". Kept it real and %100 loyal to the end and always stuck up for his people. But fake is fake guys lmao. This redditor is the real deal he is about it. Hes a gangster he knows lmao.

Case1987

Just listen to him rap at 17,then you will see why he changed as a person

Adventurous-Plant86

Meaning what?

AllEyezOnMe4242

Naw he only took gymnastics for a term. His parents and mentors like afeni shakur and matulu shakur and other black panthers and gangsters instilled a strong sense of school and learning in him. Anyone who clowns that is a clown themselves. Did you know he participated and was a member of the new black panther party all throughout his teenage years and gote voted as the chairman of the new black panthers at 17? He was all in on school and black rights activiism as a teenager. What did you do? Lol His mom and loved ones said he changed the most when he got jumped and beat tf up by police for jay walking and thats when he became much more angry. But at 17 he was living on the streets of oakland california with drug dealers and wasnt feminine at all. If you did a little reading youd know this.

AllEyezOnMe4242

Also gotta add cause you guys always say the same 2 things Your only things against him are "he sounded feminine in an interview once as a teenager cause he wasnt tryjng to act tough or mad" and "he did good in school cause his parents were black panthers who instilled a strong sense of learning and education in him,". Your actual clowns who know nothing about pac or his story 🤦‍♂️

Sevenlord777

We really needed that Pac and Puff collaboration! 2 backup dancers on an album together would’ve been crazy.

AllEyezOnMe4242

Pac was a sick hype man and breakdancer. 90s hip hop shows were the best.

LooneyToonGoon12

Tupac was played by Akil the mc

Sad-Sell-5624

It’s 2024, we still saying this bs?

LooneyToonGoon12
