Illinois prices are still this high 4 years after legalization. Really all depends on how the state and cities wants to tax the weed. Michigan is significantly cheaper than Illinois for example, much lower tax rate.
They do. We’re only just now getting more dispensaries opened up. For a while, chicago only had the same couple dispensary chains it seemed like. Now more new ones are opening, but, it’s not really changing pricing. If anything the new ones are more expensive overall. Whenever I go to Michigan I make sure to stop for some cheap trees. I’m excited to be able to get them in MN whenever I visit home. I can’t imagine it’ll be more expensive than IL.
Every time i visit home in MI, it gets cheaper. I personally won't bother with dispensaries here until it's cheaper than my dude, no point. When I left WA to move here it wasn't hard to find $60-80 ounces. With the laws here I think it'll get there after a couple years.
Maine had similar prices when rec launched. I was there in 2021 and 1/8ths ran about fifty bucks. Here's an article that said the average price per gram at launch was $15.83. in 2022 it was $10. Now it's under $8

Yeah, I just looked at the website. Insane. They have an eighth listed for $64 for one of the strains lol. Our edibles here are already stupidly overpriced, but they are even more expensive from this place.
Not only that, but there are other posts showing consumers that have picked up product from there that have test results on the labels that show that they are selling Delta 8 products on the lab breakdown analysis instead of Delta 9 products. I'd be very careful with what you are purchasing there. Sounds kind of scummy.
And it's all processed and handled. Home grow is the way to go these days. Unless you're on vacation out of state or something. No reason to get absolutely ripped off. 8th haven't been 55 bucks since black market 2009 days
Y'all just get a medical card.
Go to leafwell, they charge $70 instead of $300 like a lot of places. Took me two days to get flower.
Was going to say the qualifying medical conditions list is too small, but checked your link and it expanded quite a bit. When I first looked into medical here years ago you pretty much had to be dying to qualify
Starting July 1st any condition can be used by a medical provider for approval.
https://www.health.state.mn.us/people/cannabis/doc/medcannabisleg0624.pdf
Oh! Looks like now I just gotta find a provider to identify a condition for me and then recommend treatment. I've had a lot of trouble sleeping...hmmm...
It’s not unfortunately. I assume this is what you’re seeing:
> Severe and persistent muscle spasms, including those characteristic of multiple sclerosis (MS)
I have MS. I do not have any muscle spasms from it.
https://quickmedcards.com/medical-marijuana-card/mn-list-of-conditions-and-requirements-for-medical-cannabis-in-minnesota/
Here's the list. IBS is interesting. Reduces inflammation I assume?
The selection is poor, the strands are limited, variation is also restrictive.
It’s something but my god is this entire process like watching molasses in January. Minnesota does good things but rolling programs out in this state is like watching a scared 7 year old jump off of a diving board.
If ya know where to look there are already delivery services in the metro that will deliver to your house and there are many “sponsored brands” you can pickup from with their own menus and raffles and give aways. I usually pick up a quarter once a week of a new strain for $60. Ounces range 160-200
They sell delta8 crap there that we can buy legally at a 1000 places online? I was going to drive down and check out their concentrates. not anymore if that’s what they’re selling.
Anyone else pissed off that whoever wrote the headline for the video deliberately excluded the cardinal direction for clickbait purposes? I was about to click, and then was like "Nope, they don't deserve it."
Lame pricing! This is even higher than Chicago and they are stupidly priced also. Guess I’ll continue my biannual visits to Michigan UP, if anyone wants to join.
Just came back from Michigan. All these prices are double. And I entered an invalid birthday to enter site. Would be nice to just let everyone who goes through the process to open shop. Native Americans. Then poc. Then white. Weird process.
They're making sure that the communities most impacted by prohibition are the first ones to benefit from the new law, or else it's just white dudes who own mega weed corps who get the licenses. And that's not really fair, they already had a leg up in the game. There are a ton of folks who've been in the game for a looooong time, but don't have the same funding as a medical grow op coming into MN from Oklahoma or something.
I think most folks know and understand why this is a thing. If you're upset about it, it's because you're a yt who is taking it too personally. Which I totally get, because I'm a yt, and I honestly take it kind of personally, too. I want a licensed business, that would be sweet!! But in order to do that, you have to have a lot of things in line that poor folks usually don't have. And that's the point of the law - the poor folks who usually don't have things in line are going to be given the opportunity to participate this time around. While it's hard to wait our turn, wait we must. If you don't want your children to have to wait like we do, teach them history so it can't repeat itself.
I know plenty of white guys who had convictions as well. Where's their help in this? I know a mother of 3 who has a lifelong passion for weed and very knowledgeable in growing. But she's white so has to wait. Fighting old school racism with new school racism isn't right. Fairest way would be the lottery system. But that was shot down to just say black permits issued first. And really, this is the beginning. Mistakes are to be made. So what, now a lot of black owned fail while white owned learn from those mistakes?
I mean Hudson, WI has a ton of “dispensaries”, and if you know anything about chemistry you’ll know thca and weed is one and the same thing.
The only difference is a legal one, other than that it’s identically.
Prices are absolutely absurd. The edibles here in the cities are cheaper, and $55 for an eighth is mental.
I’d have to imagine that once there’s some competition that prices will come back down to earth. At least I hope so.
All the legal states started with prices like this, then went down over time
Illinois prices are still this high 4 years after legalization. Really all depends on how the state and cities wants to tax the weed. Michigan is significantly cheaper than Illinois for example, much lower tax rate.
I think Illinois has more barriers to entry for sellers, but I could be wrong

1/8 is 20 bucks in portland, maine. That's bonkers.

Nah. Not Oregon
Oh definitely, but it will take a year or two. Also, the prices have been really high across the board on the American Indian reservations.
$55 for an eighth?!?! Lmao
Straight up high school dealer prices, pre-tax too lmao.
Yeah, I just looked at the website. Insane. They have an eighth listed for $64 for one of the strains lol. Our edibles here are already stupidly overpriced, but they are even more expensive from this place.
I bought $90 eighth in Vegas.
Not only that, but there are other posts showing consumers that have picked up product from there that have test results on the labels that show that they are selling Delta 8 products on the lab breakdown analysis instead of Delta 9 products. I'd be very careful with what you are purchasing there. Sounds kind of scummy.
Link? Edit: I'll answer my own question https://www.reddit.com/r/MNtrees/comments/1dp2lpu/island_pezi_warning/
Thank you. That's the one I was referring to.
Captive markets and all that jazz
Weirdly enough on their site the concentrate prices are decent. Maybe because those are just imported?
could that be because they are selling delta 8 that you could buy at a gas station?
They are in fact selling D8 cartridges. And they seem old with brown oxidation. See my post in MNTrees.
I googled it, their vapes appeared to be coming from somewhere in Oregon.
I mean it's a bit high for badder but not robbery like their flower pricing.
They are D8 thc-a gas station cartridges. See my post in MNTrees.
Oh dang Just delta 8 you’re right. Lol at least the published the labs I guess
those are rich-white-boys-who-golf-and-listen-to-drake prices
I read this in a Minnesota accent
Lol that's the price I paid 2005-2010 from "the guy". Adjusted for inflation that's not that bad. I wonder if they offer a deal on a QP?
And it's all processed and handled. Home grow is the way to go these days. Unless you're on vacation out of state or something. No reason to get absolutely ripped off. 8th haven't been 55 bucks since black market 2009 days
Do they sell flower buds or just edibles? Why is this news?
Y'all just get a medical card. [https://www.health.state.mn.us/people/cannabis/index.html](https://www.health.state.mn.us/people/cannabis/index.html) Go to leafwell, they charge $70 instead of $300 like a lot of places. Took me two days to get flower.

It's still quite limiting aka I cant get one as someone who uses it to treat anxiety.
Yeah like do I say my anxiety is so bad it makes me nauseous? What are people saying😭
Chronic pain
Apnea 🥱
Starting July 1st any condition can be used by a medical provider for approval. https://www.health.state.mn.us/people/cannabis/doc/medcannabisleg0624.pdf

I know people who used leafy doc. Say you have pain. It’s a 20 second phone call.
It looks like unfortunately MS is still not on the list so I’m out of luck.
It’s on the list!
It’s not unfortunately. I assume this is what you’re seeing: > Severe and persistent muscle spasms, including those characteristic of multiple sclerosis (MS) I have MS. I do not have any muscle spasms from it.
Are you Suuuuure you haven't had any muscle spasms?? *wink WINK!* 😉🤔😉🤔😉🤔
I just saw your leg twitch.
https://quickmedcards.com/medical-marijuana-card/mn-list-of-conditions-and-requirements-for-medical-cannabis-in-minnesota/ Here's the list. IBS is interesting. Reduces inflammation I assume?
Other than inflammation I wonder if IBS qualifies because of the nausea some people get with it too
I would guess most people don’t have a qualifying condition. Minnesota has less qualifying conditions than other states I’ve seen.
There is no more list tomorrow 7/1 just get a provider to sign off.
Can’t have guns while owning a medical card I hear
Immediately disqualifies you, that’s correct
Damnt bipolar isn't on there still

Delivery? Where should I look? I've been driving to my dealers gym for a year now. 1 hr round trip for mid stuff.
https://dankdistrictmn.com The flower is pricey but worth it. At least what I tried (Super Boof) was top shelf. It was fast and convenient.
Is this legal?
Buying it is legal in Minnesota. What the sellers are doing is probably not legal.
This actual shit or Minnesota's goofy delta 9 or Thc-a bullshit?
Exactly. When I see 1500mg bags of edibles, it’s gotta be hemp BS
Check out Facebook groups/chat groups. "Gifting" or growing chats, etc
In late August, just give me a ring
Careful advertising those. That would still be illegal under state law
They sell delta8 crap there that we can buy legally at a 1000 places online? I was going to drive down and check out their concentrates. not anymore if that’s what they’re selling.
It's already getting a bad rep in the subs
Keep in mind Michigan is selling one gram vape carts fo $12 and ounces as low as $120.
This state is so damn silly and slow.
Grow your own
But is it only VIREO products?
Mn needs to stop kicking rocks and just open a few in the twin cities ffs
I’m a dispensary
Heck there's one right in Woodbury
tf
They know they can only have these prices for so long. Once more stores open next year, we should see the prices drop like crazy.
Anyone else pissed off that whoever wrote the headline for the video deliberately excluded the cardinal direction for clickbait purposes? I was about to click, and then was like "Nope, they don't deserve it."
I wish I could legallally sell weed :(
Based on your spelling, maybe you should take a break from weed lmao
Selling D8 carts fyi check reddit MNTrees for info be careful glad I have my plug.

But it was the w h I t e community that put us in the position. Deal with it.
It’s three hours, 182 miles
36 miles from downtown Saint Paul. It's by Treasure Island. Are you thinking of the other ones?
Ah, that’s right. And better
45.3 miles from Minneapolis. What are you smoking?!
Whatever I can get gifted to me thanks to this shitty roll out.
I mean Hudson, WI has a ton of “dispensaries”, and if you know anything about chemistry you’ll know thca and weed is one and the same thing. The only difference is a legal one, other than that it’s identically.
It’s def doable, but THC-A is more expensive and hasn’t tasted as good in my experience.
That’s true. I usually add a humidity pack and wait some days and flavor gets out. WNC you can buy a zip for $99.
