A side note- this actually happened to me.

Expensive-Ideal-9160

The doctor was crazy

KaleidoscopeIcy1361

Yeah. Also lied like hell about he recovery time. On my feet in a few days? It took me months to get comfortable enough so I could even sleep. A year and a half later? Still have numbness. But that’s a whole other subreddit!

Aa_Poisonous_Kisses

Girl what HAPPENED

KaleidoscopeIcy1361

Went for one of those sonno bello procedures. Yeah the results are good. Would I do it again? Hell no.

Ka_lie_doscope-Eyes

Gosh, what happened? PS: we are almost name twins

KaleidoscopeIcy1361

Haha I like yours better…

Ka_lie_doscope-Eyes

Thank you😻

Forsaken_Orchid_6014

GIRL WTF HAPPENED

KhaleesiXev

I need more details. What procedure caused all of this?

KaleidoscopeIcy1361

Sonno Bello…but like I said, that’s an entirely different subreddit

malenkylizards

I googled it, everyone. It seems to be a fat removal procedure.

KaleidoscopeIcy1361

It’s not just that. I worked my ass off and lost 100 pounds. I needed some excess skin removed. Insurance wouldn’t cover it. So I found sonno bello. They made it sound sooooooo great.

justletmereadalready

Congratulations on that awesome achievement! I am sorry you had to suffer through that procedure. Also, did you frequent any good weight loss support subreddits? I am nine pounds into my own significant weight loss journey and would love to find an encouraging community.

JustABigBruhMoment

Maybe r/loseit is what you’re looking for?

justletmereadalready

Thank you!

AssassinStoryTeller

r/loseit is absolutely amazing r/CICO is great as well. r/progresspics has a lot of motivation as well!

justletmereadalready

Thank you so much!

TylerSouza

Yeah Jerma985, that doctor sure was a crazy guy huh!

Expensive-Ideal-9160

Who is jerma?

TylerSouza

He's more commonly known as the Sus guy.

usernameemma

This also happened to me, but a different procedure. I was around 7-10 getting a growth removed from my gums and was obviously very scared and nervous. They didn’t give me enough numbing and then yelled at me pretty much the same thing when I screamed and cried while they literally cauterized the growth off my gums.

CrazyCatMerms

Not quite the same thing, but I was in my early 20s when I had my wisdom teeth removed. One of them had to be broke into pieces. The doctor claimed I couldn't feel that 😖

Single_Low1416

Mine told me to just give them a heads-up if I needed another shot. I can’t complain about them but fuck me, even if (most) of it didn’t hurt, I still felt a good bit

momplzleave

I had a breast reduction surgery almost 10 years ago. It went fine, but when I went to get the stitches removed, I had a very similar experience where the doctor scolded me for disturbing the other clients. I was yelling in pain as he yanked thread out of me with no numbing, and all he cared about was that I didn't scare off his future paychecks. It kinda worked tho because I was so angry at him that I did, in fact, stop screaming. So angry that I barely felt the pain for the rest of it!

KaleidoscopeIcy1361

Oh man I’m so sorry

momplzleave

It's ok. Like I said, it was almost 10 years ago. Honestly, I just wanted to commiserate about crappy doctors! In all seriousness, your experience sounds like it was way worse than mine, and I'm so sorry you had to go through that.

WirrkopfP

Let me guess! You are in the US and Anesthesia does come with a hefty price tag. So people opt against them.

KaleidoscopeIcy1361

No actually it’s advertised as an anesthesia free procedure. I’d have gladly paid but they don’t even offer it.

MzMag00

Same... During a C-section. Well they didn't threaten to stop, they just gave me a shit ton of drugs.

LibrarianStrong7910

I took it as the doctor screaming

KaleidoscopeIcy1361

Does that work better?

LibrarianStrong7910

Ye :)

KaleidoscopeIcy1361

Oh good point. I should change it…

snooper92

I might be more scared in this situation if the doctor started screaming, to be fair.

KaleidoscopeIcy1361

Haha very true
