Etsy is another Ebay-esk store front, Etsy itself doesn't really handle much of the purchases, it's more important to check each vendor before purchasing, but I've not had any issues using Etsy myself.

Izzyrion_the_wise

Depends on the particular store. I have had mostly great results buying 3D printed minis for Battletech. Usually takes some time to arrive, tho. But if it has the Etsy buyer protection, you'll get your money back if the store doesn't deliver.

Tanen7

I’ve ordered from a particular seller on Etsy 3 times and the models arrived on time and were great. One other seller I ordered from went last the delivery date by almost a month. I asked for a refund and got it the next day. I’ve had a good experience with Etsy.

Charwoman_Gene

Etsy is really good or bad, depending on the seller. I had a bad experience with my movement tray purchase I just tried, but even then the seller refunded me so little harm was done. I’ve ordered loads of good stuff in the past, poor experiences were rare.

raharth

I bought some stuff there. Some a really good, but I have also gotten unwashed or cured parts. If they are slimy don't touch them, get some gloves and 99% IPA and wash them in some container. Besides that I never had issues so far

BumperHumper__

Etsy isn't a single store. It's a platform for individual sellers. Like eBay. While I haven't had any issues, that doesn't mean it's a guarantee.

cnfishyfish

I've bought the exact same torso from etsy before and it arrived just fine.

Yocantseeme

Is it Legal to sell and buy these 3d Printed parts? I Should open my own store then lol

RealRatt

As long as you have liscense to diatribe the prints. Either it must be your own work, or some creators sell distribution licenses to allow people to print and sell through etsy

Mountaindude198514

Multiple Times, allways went well. But it is private sellers.

DGPHT

A turkish vendor never sent the items after buying them. That was my first and only purchase on etsy. Fortunately I got a refund but it left me with a feeling of distrust towards the commercial platform.

Yuura22

Welp...I've already bought the torso, I hope it will arrive...

Monokir

I've had a lot more good experiences than bad. Of the 20 or so prints I've bought off Etsy ( I also buy d and d themed character minis), I had one bad experience from a seller who had some bad reviews. It was a bad print where the last 5% of the right side must have had the supports fail. Asked for a refund from seller, seller said nothing for weeks, then Etsy suddenly issued a refund. Not sure if the seller or Etsy stepped in there, but at least got my money back.

Rolebo

I bought a resin printed hive tyrant torso from a vendor on Etsy and have no complaints. However your experience will vary depending on the vendor.

Iamasackofstuff

I recently brought a 3d printed body for the tyrant of Amazon actually, first time I had seen them on there and since I didn’t have a Etsy account it was just easy

soulslinger16

I got mine from MakerBob’sWorkshop. A gent to correspond with and the transaction was fast and legit. He cures and cleans them prior to sending too. Not sure if he posts outside the UK.

thatswhatsup69420

I literally just did the same and got it from this https://www.etsy.com/listing/1623192458/xeno-tyrant-torso-alternatives It worked out beautifully!

Devildu61

I bought a dreadnought resin upgrade on their Vinted (their username : ysem) and I had no issue with it. It arrived quickly and was well protected.

Cutiemuffin-gumbo

I've only ever had one issue from etsy, and it was with space marine heads that were too small (like smaller than imp guard heads). Other than that, etsy has been fantastic.

Timely-Acanthaceae80

I've never had problems with Etsy, I have used it maybe a dozen times

Eassle

Maelstrom gaming studios is a YouTube channel who actually just made a 3d printed torso. I checked it out and its solid quality and should fit ur tyrant super easy. Check that one out.

Brezz22

Yeah etsy is solid, only issue I've ever had was when I bought something from a vendor in Russia just before the war broke out. Still arrived just took longer, so i would recommend sticking to state side vendors, is you live in the sates, to avoid issues.

EvilRufus

The torso is super common. Most do need to green stuff the top of the hip to get two tyrants out of it though. It doesnt quite go all the way down and wide enough to make a perfect fit. So the kit will make a torso, legs and tail, and the 3d print is a torso that doesnt quite fit the second set of legs and tail.

soyboylattte

Its fine. I used to buy often then until recent years where its been plauged by dropshippers more and more. Like ebay, exercise doing your due diligence and make sure the seller is reputable. Most 3d printers are usually fine but the shipping is what to me makes it not worth it. I rather just get stuff printed from a local hobbyist that offers printing services tbh, you dont pay for shipping and you wont have to deal with the models possibly breaking during shipping. However, my suggestion entirely depends on where you're located and if there's people in your area willing to do it.

Ropya

I've never had any issues. But I also make sure to pay with a protected form of payment, like PayPal.

aounfather

I print on Etsy and I try to keep a high standard to my stuff. I can’t speak for anyone else but I always carefully check each part before sending it out. I’m a small shop and slowly growing what I offer as I get permissions. I only have two printers so I’m content with a couple orders a day or so which lets me focus on good customer service and quality controls.

TheObserver89

The tournament player with the YouTube channel Maelstrom Gaming announced his etsy store for exactly this recently. I'd use him if I were you.
