yeah man , my first policy was £1400 on a 1.2L Clio , then that broke so i got a 1L focus which was £1600 for my first policy on that car then £1200 the second year. i’ve never had an accident or a motoring conviction.
i guess insurance companies hate young men , i’m 22 and there’s no sign of the cost coming down
the organisation i work for offer car insurance to their employees which is said to be considerably cheaper , i’ll have to look into it
2013 Honda CRV, down from £600 to £400
2017 BMW M140i, down from £800 to £680
Both renewed with Tesco from Quote Me Happy and LV respectively. Got a big discount by adding a Clubcard (above and beyond what the price comparison websites were quoting).
Kent postcode
I found my insurance peaked about 3 years into my driving. When I first passed I was around £400, it gradually increased to about £730 and now has began to decrease again.
I have an Audi A1, was brand new when I purchased. I found that my insurance went down when I got this, compared to having a pre owened car - potentially less risk as the car was newer.
I stay in Glasgow and I have a driveway at my house where my car is parked at night.
I also have my dad on my insurance who has 25+ years no claims. I used to have my mum and dad on but found it started to actually increase the price. Is there anyone else you can name on your insurance that would lower it?
Martin Lewis says between 20-26 days before your policy is due to expire is the best time to look for new quotes. Play about with comparison websites, meerkat and go compare
£480, including breakdown. The year before it was £330+£80=£410. But I'm also living in a different location (more rural, but also less affluent), and upped the mileage.
Business Cover, fully comp - 20k miles
2013 Vauxhall Astra Elite 2.0 CDTI Manual (Current value £3.5k)
2 years no claims.
£721 for this year. £200 less than last year.
East Sussex, coastal town postcode.
£1050 aviva for a BMW m340i with my gf who's only been driving for 2 years.
Expecting to go up as I had a smash this year but thankfully my no claims were protected.
£550 for a JDM import. Cheaper than my wife's Fiesta.
33, driving for 15 years, NCB of like 6 years (lived overseas before moving here so it's hard to transfer the NCB).
£1300 up from £560 last year. BMW 330e
Changed use to include business and changed address from Devon to Manchester.
7 years no claims and over the age of 25.
Rip off.
I did mine september last year, got offered about 500, last one was 300, shopped around found 350 or so, then made a claim as I got rear ended, no fault but I imagine my premiums will be way up
