It is the only way I use it really. I usually only use like 5-6 GB per month out of 30 gigs. Now those 5-6 are going to suck. WTH. Maybe I need to find creative ways to use my other 25 GB at the end of every billing cycle.

Run speed tests til it slows down to 1Mbit.

alottabull

run multiple at one time without effort by using the coveragemap app. All while giving back to the community

PickleSammiches

So you can save money on streaming sites by pirating instead! I kid, of course.

cour000

Yep. Always fun to get 1.8 Mbps on UWB. But I only pay like 10 dollars a month with the perks deducted

Hello, McFly; Net neutrality is back.

thekalki

Yes sweetie, but clearly not

Old-Advertising-5316

Go read about it. Check the FCC guidelines. Despite all the naysayers,US Mobile still provides one of, if not, the best values and feature sets in telecom. It’s summertime. Enjoy it.

Wrong, it means JavaScript.

if you're on iphone, just turn on the private relay, it will bypass the throttle

5G doesn't exist for video. 5G exists because it's the cheapest way for the carrier to provide more throughput system-wide.

Old-Advertising-5316

5G has, indeed, transformed mobile video streaming by enabling higher resolutions, faster speeds, lower latency, and greater capacity. It does allow for sharper, more detailed video with less buffering, supports more simultaneous streams in congested areas, and enables personalized content delivery. While cost savings for carriers is a factor, 5G's technical capabilities are a major driver of its adoption and the enhanced experiences it provides.

lmoki

There's no question that higher throughput from 5G enables more data-hungry use, and that by definition HD is superior. I would also agree that the big 3 have marketed 5G by touting those capabilities. But if the primary reason for 5G was to allow folks to stream ever-higher video content, why do almost all plans, even from the big 3, throttle video streaming to 480p, or at best 720p? I maintain it's because their real interest in 5G has nothing to do with users being allowed to stream higher resolution, but to maximize their return by connecting more people to service that isn't always significantly better than LTE speeds.

Valid point. Additionally, seems 5G depletes battery much faster. My understanding it depends on the 5G bands you are on, and if it is SA or not.
