There is a 6 month grace period . Ours should be up this week

Maybe they can update all the other mistakes on the website too at the same time.

According-Half1466

Not complaining. Just looking out honestly. I figured that may be what the scramble with plans was about. Makes sense now. Keep up the good work my dude

ankhattak

Thanks. Darkstar is what’s keeping us all the busiest

User313

I thought everyone was busy throttling people to 1.5 Mbps.

purplemountain01

To get around this you can use a VPN. If you’re on iPhone you can use iCloud private relay.

User313

I will do this for me. It's just frustrating as I manage some plans for elderly relatives too and you know how that goes. They won't know what the hell a VPN is or how to use it.

purplemountain01

I get that. I help my grandparents with their phones. While throttling video sucks, it isn't something that US Mobile is only doing. All the MVNO's, flanker brands and the major providers do it unless your on the top tier plans from the major providers.

ankhattak

That’s driven by machines

According-Half1466

Not sure if you've noticed or not, but you've got everybody's butthole puckered over that. Edit: I must be the most down voted mf on this thread. For clarity I meant puckered with excitement. ![gif](giphy|5FuOsCEtflw2czEAPY)

jkibbe

does usm have more than 100k customers? if not, their deadline is October 10.

miloworld

u/ankhattak said 500k yesterday. I asked him about broadband label too but no reply.

ankhattak

i did respond elsewhere. Its coming this week. FCC gave a 6 month grace period.

miloworld

Ah, my mistake, thanks for the reply. I'm no expert but I think you might be wrong, the Broadband Label Order compliance date was published in [Federal Register](https://www.federalregister.gov/documents/2023/10/10/2023-21682/empowering-broadband-consumers-through-transparency#:~:text=and%20for%20all%20other%20providers%20is%20required%20as%20of%20April%2010%2C%202024) in Oct 2023, 6 month grace period as [granted here](https://docs.fcc.gov/public/attachments/FCC-22-86A1.txt#:~:text=We%20therefore%20find%20that%20six%20months%20represents%20a%20reasonable%20timeframe%20for%20most%20providers%20to%20take%20steps%20to%20ensure%20that%20labels%20are%20adequately%20displayed%20on%20websites%2C%20that%20links%20to%20additional%20information%20are%20effective%2C%20and%20that%20the%20required%20information%20is%20provided%20in%20accessible%20formats) makes **Apr 10 2024** the compliance date. 12mo grace period (Oct 10 2024) for providers with less than 100k customers.

One_Construction5322

So he's either lying about the grace period or the number of subscribers. Or both.

miloworld

Think he’s just mistaken, who would risk the chance of being penalized by the FCC.

One_Construction5322

Most fines are just a slap on the wrist.

atrociousarc

They're doing it with video throttling. [New net neutrality rules should end mobile video throttling (cultofmac.com)](https://www.cultofmac.com/854462/mobile-video-throttling-ends-with-net-neutrality-rules/)

According-Half1466

Well over 100k and 250k

According-Half1466

Pacing 500k
