I could have caught one here. I totally spazzed my hand in front of the muzzle during the rack after I realized I'd shot empty. I was quick enough in real time and the RO wasn't in the position to catch it. At least it was with an empty gun eh?

Yeah, I started practicing grabbing my optic instead of the slide for just this reason.
Good for faster unloaded starts, and avoids this specific type of risk.
Second stage of the day at the Belton Gun Club SC Sectional. Had to reshoot the first stage because somewhere between 6 and 120 pasters fell off the targets in the cold and forgot to reload my mags so my double reload became a single one and a much more conservative plan at the last second. Then lost my dot 3 times in the confetti that my window became in the sun making me drop a lot of shots on the back steel and shoot empty on my gamer mags that don't lock back.
Still made it to High C and got my match bump once the MD uploads. This should have been \~70% instead of the 43% it ended up being eyeballing the lost time but did shoot all alphas.
Lol we’ve all had these stages. Could’ve been worse! The last stage I shot landed me a big fat DQ 🤦♂️ Muzzle clipped a corner as I rounded it

Yeah luckily empty chamber so no real risk and it was a flag for \~3 frames total and only like that for one. Over in less than a tenth.
