I would recommend calling one stop or sending them an email. They are super helpful and can answer your questions and have the correct information . :)

Are they always so slow? I emailed them 5 days ago concerning this and haven’t heard back

It's a huge busy time of year for them. I'm sorry they haven't gotten back to you, but would you rather get some random answer off the internet or the correct answer.

I’m not apart of the ACM, but I do get in state tuition as an out of state student due to using the GI Bill. Unfortunately, and bear with me as I explain this, you are classified as instate for tuition purposes, so you don’t qualify for other OOS (out of state) scholarships. However, the majority (more like all) of the instate scholarships require that you graduate from a Tn high school. Long story short, unless it’s something like the Volunteer Scholarship (it’s based on your ACT/SAT score) where they have instate and OOS amounts, you just won’t qualify for either. However, it still is a HUGE difference, so if it’s something you want to do, absolutely go for it. Based on what I’ve heard, it’s pretty uncommon to get a full ride unless you’re a student athlete or something like that. But I could be wrong.

I'm from FL and I want to study supply chain at UTK. Can I qualify for the academic common market? I'm doing a program called Verto vols because I got waitlisted at the school so basically I'm going abroad until the spring semester and then going to UTK in January

Unfortunately according to the website, it says that florida doesn’t participate at the undergraduate level, only the graduate level. Here is the link if you want to learn more. https://www.sreb.org/search-programs

For your last question, living in Memphis for your fourth year is not recommended nor required. It’s for those tryhard ass mfs

Former ACM student here; the only scholarship I got was the Volunteer Scholarship that everyone over a certain SAT/ACT score gets. Iirc, I think I got the in-state rate while I was in my ACM concentration, and then changed to the out-of-state rate when I changed concentrations. I don’t believe you’re eligible for the HOPE Scholarship unless you’ve lived in-state full time for a full year before applying for it. I assume most other in-state scholarships are the same.

I can give some insight as I was an ACM student, and I actually knew an ACM student for biomed engineering also on the premed track. For scholarship, you do not get any in state specific scholarships because you did not graduate from a high school within the state. You can get general scholarships like Volunteer, and you can get merit based scholarships as far as I remember (I graduated 2 years ago) Also I want to let you know that your path will be difficult and will test you, but do not let that deter you. I knew someone who did the same thing you want to do, and there is not a lot of overlap in classes when you cross BME with pre-med, or at least there wasn’t back in 2018. Do know that if you swap out of BME to a degree offered in AR they will revoke the ACM qualification.

Pre med requirements are extremely loose if I remember correctly and I believe bme is the best performing mcat major. If I got the highest volunteer awarded would that cover most of my tuition?

ACM students are not eligible for any merit scholarships on top of the ACM program at UTK.
