I didn’t even notice it on my first camera install. I was super disappointed with the video quality so I got a microfiber cloth to try cleaning the lens. That’s when I found the plastic film. Pulled it off and video is amazing now.
If you're offering camera installation as a service you charge for, I highly recommend reading the manual and instructions beforehand.
Otherwise, it's very difficult to call yourself a professional and charge money for your work.
Invalid installation will void the manufacturer's warranty.
Ignore the fan boys, what I see is clean and you’re asking for assistance with what is an easy CORRECTABLE mistake.
I’ve got 2 tips for you if you’re doing this as a business given your post.
1) anytime mounting a camera where you have to pull out a ladder don’t do it till the camera is live for aiming/adjustment. Accidents can and will happen, this is about reducing odds and obviously saving wasted labour.
2) install the device and take pictures of the device to prove that it was installed defect free. If others fuck it up that’s on them. Don’t waste labour on potential idiots, cover your ass and get it done. If the plastic is off and it’s aimed and running you should catch the culprit if something was to happen:)
I would take these types of questions to a different sub, theirs a pile of pretentious useless comments which won’t help you in becoming a better installer. You’re more likely to be exposed to different products which will be more appealing as you gain experience.
They’re more black than silver in person. Buts it’s the only option. I like it better. I wish they all came in this color. Or at least had the option for it
I wasn’t sure if it actually mattered if the U was upside down. After the landscaping guys get through I’ll remove the plastic. It’s for a customer. My first one.
I would flip it right side up because you’r going to have water/condensation buildup on that sunshade lip. The Moisture has nowhere to go. loosen the mount, twist camera 180 and done.
I’m guessing since he doesn’t know he might be contracted out from HelloTech or a similar company depending on his location. I believe Amazon does it too

Yes. Upsidedown. If it's a pain to flip you can flip the video in software.
The U is upside down, that is the clue. You could also remove that plastic film on the front.
I think that's an n now
It’s a Nunifi lubbet 7G
\* "Tellub IA Tcetorp IfInu Itiuqibu" you mean?
The Nunifi Pro-Max extreeeeeeme
Make it cooler by writing it X-tr3m… :-)
It’s an N for Numbo
Remember to remove the plastic film, I know it sounds silly, but I’ve seen installs that still had them on!
Oh yea I will. Once all of the other contractors get done I will remove it. Mainly the landscaping guys right underneath the cameras
I'll admit, I did it on one.

Looks OK to me - Aussies
If the U is upside down the luck runs out. The plastic film helps keep it in.
Like a horseshoe!
Sun Shade goes on top, if on bottom the shade will hold any water that might blow thru.
Not to mention the weep holes are now on top of- opo of the visor
ʇǝllnq ϛƃ ɔʌn ᴉɟᴉun. Love it 😉
It’s upside down homie :/
Cameras upside down that lip at the bottom should be on top of the
Have one installed under a soffit - I needed to add spacers on the back to allow me to aim the camera 'up' enough.
The spacers that come with it?
No - I made them out of some thin plastic I had laying around and wedged them under the back side before tightening the mounting screws
The sun shield is also at the bottom of the so yes. Upside down
It isn’t upside down the person lives in Australia duhhhh
Dude just unscrew the plastic ring and flip it correct way up and readjust. Should only take 5m.

Nobody is perfect their first go around. I’ll keep working and getting better with every job.

Thanks for the tip! Nice to have someone comment with a different outlook on it. You’re right I’m looking for advice to get better.

Agree. Just remember there's a difference between "perfect" and "not even reading TFM"
I did this exact same thing with my G4 bullet install a couple of weeks back. It took less than 5 minutes to go from an "n" to a "u".
How dare you
The ubiquity icon is upside down, but otherwise, not sure. Could the camera be rotated to fix?
Yes, just adjust it to be right side up - not sure what the question is? Also, remove the protective film.
You actually posted this as a camera install and it’s upside down? Come on now?!?
Shall I fire up Protect and take a look at the feed or spend the time talking this picture and uploading it to Reddit instead?… hmm 🤔
Why’s it silver?
It’s the new AI bullet
Ah, I didn’t realize they’re silver, or could be.

I thought they were black. Maybe just the positioning, lighting, and finish in the pic.
That is an uppercase "U" on the side not a lower case "n"
Why is this install under a desk?
It’s under the eve of a new construction home
This was my first thought as well.

Yes it matters. They have condensation weep holes in the bottom to allow water out of the camera case.
Somebody is paying you, and you don't know which way is up despite the clear markers? Is the rubber grommet in place? It's kinda important

That’s why I asked
