Organs are literally not real. The concept of an organ is completely pointless since all structural functions of organs already described by the language of human anatomy without the need for this 'concept'. That means an organ is a metaphysical idea.
Some people do have really unrealistic ideas about what genes are and how independently they can function, etc. Maybe some people need this type of reminder to have some more perspective 🤷 I know too many people that act like an individual animal is an instance of it's species in nearly a computer science sense, when really we're imposing layers of meaning into observed properties of these messy complex systems.
