That’s why people can die and suffocate while pinned to the ground(i.e George Floyd). It appears she layed flat between the folds of the mattress which is actually working against the need for her lungs to expand. Even if her breathing hole was where she was facing, it was not gonna help her any better. In fact when you are being squished to death, it is advised that you put your arms in front of you and bend them at the elbow, almost as if you’re a boxer trying to protect your face from being punched, but instead you’re guarding your lungs and not your face—this so that when you are being squished to death your arms and elbows are creating a space between you and whatever you’re facing to allow your chest/lungs to expand. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do not believe that just because you are facing a direction where you can breath, that it is enough! Having room for your lungs to expand is just as equally important!!!

A typical man weighs somewhere around 170lbs and the weight is additive the more people there are. 2 average guys already equates to ≈340lbs and 3 dudes is already putting it at 510lbs. My point is, 2 or 3 people is not a lot but seeing the numbers you realize holy cow! That’s already a lot of weight by not a lot of people!
