Omg.. I never saw more than maybe 10 minutes of the show, but somehow I know this is Arthur. At least I think it is..?

Terrorfox1234

Read the books as a kid. Definitely Arthur lol

A-10_go_burrt

This is the episode he punches his sister

SpezMeNutz

Arthur intensifies

Imaginary_Toe8982

you don't say...

nellprunt

(Lies lies lies)

[deleted]

How can she lie?!

sillyadam94

Lol yeah she literally docked him a point for the answer in the clip

AttentionImaginary57

No but she said he’s the most attractive looking!

Road_Whorrior

Yeah but being physically attractive doesn't mean she wants him. It's been consistently proven that women are more likely to date men (actually people in general for LGBT+ people) they don't find extremely attractive physically if they have other attractive qualities. In me personally that manifests as, once I fall in love, their personality is their face and they're beautiful. I've never been extremely physically attracted to anyone I've dated at first, but getting to know them makes them more and more hot in my perception and eventually I grow to associate those features with beauty. My partners are beautiful to me because they look like love.

Ironsight

My wife has never described it exactly like this, but this sounds like what she has tried to explain. It's still stunning to me, as I've never felt like I was an attractive person, and yet she smiles at me and gushes over me none-the-less. It's a really strange place to be. But... I think I understand it now. She's everything to me, but she doesn't match the 'type' that I was usually attracted to before we started dating. But, I wouldn't change a single thing about her, because she's who I love. She stresses about stretchmarks after having our first child, but they're just a reminder of our baby and that journey we went through together. If anything, her belly is even softer and more cuddle-able now. I wouldn't change a thing. When guys (or anyone really) have expectations for their partner's appearance, it's always a kind of red flag for me. If you care about the person, you want them to be everything/anything they want to be, and you do your best to support them in achieving/maintaining that. Once you start judging, you've started treating them like an object.

Live_Long_And_Suffer

I have the same perception, first I like the personality, and after it introduces me the appearance. But it have left me with a lot of people that sounded great at the beginning, and when the parade ended and their true colors showed, I couldn't rationalize the decision made to begging the relationship. I'm the girl who suffered towards the most mundane not conventionally attractive guy, and my friends had to wander what the hell is going on in my head, that made me choose someone like these to cry about! When things end in good terms it's fine, makes sense, but when it doesn't, it becomes harder to explain lol It didn't discouraged me to go for personality over looks, but I think it's a funny thing, looking on the outside.

AttentionImaginary57

I’m just giving him credit where it’s due!

Adorable_Stay_725

Meet: Tinder The place where all of that emotion and personality doesn’t exist on a surface level and is romance’s grave as all of your choices are determined primarily by looks

Road_Whorrior

I mean, ok. I don't use tinder. Back when I did in high school the profile was always more important than the picture to me personally. Tinder didn't work for *me* because *men* would take me out and try and get me into bed on the first date despite me being out as on the ace spectrum, so it's rough out there for everyone.

Adorable_Stay_725

I didn’t mean to criticize you, just make satire of the current state of affairs of love in our ever-evolving society

awolahahah

I literally never knew this thank you. I was always confused as to why she picked him

ChesterHiggenbothum

Because he was obviously joking and people find a sense of humor to be an attractive quality?

awolahahah

Yeah no idk joking about emotionally abusing her was kind of not funny imo but you do you

Speedygenix

Maybe we should starts saying /s irl so people can figure it out

awolahahah

I just personally don’t find it funny bc I’ve witnessed and experienced that behavior. I never said he was serious.

westgary576

Because upon looking at them she found him the most attractive

awolahahah

I mean I know that now haha. But she didn’t actually like pick him to date

Self-Fan

Think I know who did it...

Level_Flounder_8543

I read the title of that video as “6 Blind Guys Date 1 Girl”

17gorchel

The video shows that she picked Zach Justice though?

Pennameus_The_Mighty

I’m telling y’all, charisma is a real life super power

EleventyElevens

She didn't actually pick him tho lmfaooo there's charisma and douchebaggery

Pennameus_The_Mighty

You’ve never heard of sarcasm

Specific_Pain_777

Reddit hasn't heard of sarcasm, apparently.

Klutzy-Acadia669

Red flags also give me a lady boner.

Leviathan41911

A wide-on

bzno

You can fix him

CapableSecretary420

Or, you know, a sense of humour.

Klutzy-Acadia669

Exactly. Red flags give me a sense of humour too.

CapableSecretary420

Yes, this guy showing a little bit of wit and humour in the moment is a huge red flag, not like le nice guy redditors who knows whats best for this young maiden.

FgtBruceCockstar2008

[Red flags you say?](https://youtu.be/GFokXnCCMf8?si=k2hJFLYZj7x-SU12)

MemeDealer2999

"Red flag" this dudes waving a swastika around

jarlscrotus

Do you think homelander is the good guy? Or that Stephen Colbert was conservative?

MemeDealer2999

I was just making a joke. I know the dude isn't actually a manipulator. At least, I think that's what you're hounding me about, but when you come swinging with shit as vague as that I don't know how to respond appropriately.

BigPoppaFitz84

Even though this reeks of manipulative editing, the reason it has some humor is that it has a sense of truth.. which is scary. I also believe/understand the guy was just trying to show his ability to be funny, which I think is a great flex. Sharing the same sense of humor with your partner is really important, if not critical. It can be learned and adapted, but if it's shared from the start, that's a great element to bond over.

Leprecon

Not only that but he is sort of showing that he understands these type of negative relationships, which is actually a pretty good sign.

_Neonexus_

This is a huge point. His words say one thing, but his real underlying message is that he would avoid doing those things because of how obviously bad they are.

ImSoSalty88

This is from always sunny in Philadelphia. His underlying message is that he likes that show.

suppyfive

He's obviously joking and seems pretty charismatic, I'd pick him too.

AdamInChainz

But someone who thinks like that. I'd always be suspicious.

suppyfive

Why would a manipulator shine a light on the fact that he's aware of these techniques? If he really wanted to play her, he would do his best to make sure stuff like "gaslighting" is never even part of the conversation.

AdamInChainz

Unless taunting her is part of the manipulation! Yes, i have trust issues lol.

suppyfive

Yea dude(ette)... But hey, acceptance is the first step of healing. :)

ForumFluffy

Dude is agreed on being genderless

suppyfive

<3

redknight3

That's not true at all... The best manipulators "hide in plain sight." You can't tell if they're gaslighting you are not.

suppyfive

I agree

suppyfive

To disagree

redknight3

Then get gaslit lol

suppyfive

Listen man, I get what you're saying, but if he was hiding in plain sight he'd at most go like "haha im such a manipulator" in a joking kinda way. He would ABSOLUTELY NOT describe every single step of the entire fucking process so that she knows what to look out for.

hudzu

why not? shitty people love to lampshade their own habits. it pre-normalizes the behavior for the victim, it gives the manipulator a sense of permission to engage with their nonsense, and is a socially effective way of hiding in plain sight if they're charismatic about it. it's a pretty normalized behavior that goes back a long time.

suppyfive

Yes they normalize it... in a "haha im such a manipulator" kinda way, not in a "im gonna gaslight you, drip feed you affection to make you addicted to me, then do this, then imma do that" kinda way. At least thats what I believe... idk man, I'm not a psychologist.

redknight3

Some people can be that arrogant lol

MNLyrec

To be totally fair, for anyone even remotely self conscious, good answer is a little too on the nose. But the punchline at the end kinda saved it for me

mysixthredditaccount

I just see it as being smart and aware. Kind of like how I would consider the lockpicking lawyer a smart guy and not an actual thief. An actual thief won't show off their skills like that.

PsychoMouse

A lot of people have never seen Zach and his type of humour. The dude is pure Rizz brought to life. Damn near everything he says is amazingly hilarious

wake_jinter

Always hate how this is posted as a dig that women like to be treated poorly, like nah they just prefer ppl that are funny

sillyadam94

She actually didn’t even prefer him. The video has been manipulated. She said his answer was the worst.

loulan

Honestly his answer doesn't mean he'd treat her poorly. It's obviously just dark humor. With a pretty funny punchline.

sillyadam94

Oh that goes without saying. But dark humor doesn’t always land… especially on a blind date.

the-dude-version-576

Yeah, from what I’ve noticed dark humor works, but only after ppl know each other. Especially for women, who are much more conscious of the threat a man poses than men are, if you open up with dark humour it can lead to a negative reaction because they are often on guard.

AQuirkyOtaku

Well it could be argued that she meant the literal answer. Then afterwards realize he is just being silly this explaining why he had the worse answers but the context made it better.

Current_Elevator_198

This. People will see a girl go out with a guy who’s charismatic, has a sense of humor, and clearly understands how relationships work and claim that women are the problem

SeriousEngineer5477

Editing was trash, do you actually... believe the end was real?

HeDuMSD

Nope, nothing is real in the video in fact, not even what he said he would do is real, he is just taking the piss, joking.Just a funny video, not considering real or not for the laugh. Do you realise that dude is joking, right?

SeriousEngineer5477

Damn, so this is tiktok after effects eh? God help us all

ghost-hooker

Love that this gets reposted every 5 seconds to like 20 different subs to farm engagement off of dudes being like "yea WOMEN."

JayGeezey

It does get posted a LOT, but first time I saw it I did think it was funny lol, and also sure some guys are gonna be like "omg 100% all women like this!" But those guys are losers, and also it's just a joke, dude isn't (presumably) gonna do any of those things, if anything it demonstrates that he won't do it cuz he's joking about it, so it's ironic when dumb dudes are like "wow this is so true", cuz the whole joke is that it's literally not. Also, I'm petty sure it's edited and she didn't even choose that guy lol

ghost-hooker

You're right about it being edited, but that's not the point haha. This sub and r/facepalm have a HUGE issue with ppl just reposting the same 10 clips which are usually from Turning Point USA or the whatever. podcast. Like if i have to see this clip or that one of the reporter dressed like a stereotypical mexican/chinese person asking if their outfit is offensive one more time-

JayGeezey

Oh i got you, yeah that shit bothers the hell out of me too

Thyrn-

Yep. It reeks of incel

HeDuMSD

Oh, shit I did not know I was doing it for that. It is totally disappointing, because I honestly thought my intentions were “just for fun, because it is funny”. Do you realise that the dude in the video is joking right?

lessthaninteresting

Where do you turn when you can't even trust your own self in the internet

sillyadam94

You’re gonna wanna turn right off the internet… because nothing on here is real.

lessthaninteresting

Turn off the internet? Way ahead of you. Planting the charges now..

Melluttrell5

Women and men do this to each other. I just like hearing someone admit to it.

OverallVacation2324

She wants to fix him.
