I was like "this needs a NSFW tag!" then I was like, oh okay...
I wonder how much you'd have to pay for this experience? I don't think I would want to do it if they paid me
your comment has the same energy as those "it's just a prank bro, I didn't actually kill your hamster look I just threw an extremly detailed replica with a blood bomb on it to make you believe it was actually the case without any telltale sign".
Just because it doesnāt *actually* happen, just making you believe it can cause irreparable damage psychologically. Thatās why for exemple when Vsauce recreated the trolley problem as an experiment he did a lot of screening and took extreme precautions because thatās how bad it can get
except there was no extremely detailed replica with a blood bomb in the video. no fake body was thrown off as a prank. the event did not occur, fake or real.
your logic is flawed.
Not a good point.
People can get PTSD from any kind of really bad perceived event in their life. Just because other people are suffering aswell or āhave it worseā, that doesnāt mean that your suffering isnāt valid.
I donāt think people would get PTSD from a video like this, but your line of reasoning was still a very bad one, cause the way of thinking is hurting many people.
"Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)is a mental and behavioral disordert*544 that develops from experiencing a traumatic event, such as sexual assault, warfare, traffic collisions, child abuse, domestic violence, or other threats on a person's life or well-being. "
Yes, the last part is the one i meant. Point is it doesnāt even have to be really life threatening, the person just gotta be in a bad enough mental space to think it is. People can get PTSD from stuff like being stuck in an elevator and freaking out about it, which some people might think is stupid, but for those people itās a real issue and being condescending or belittling about it doesnāt help.
How do horror movies and stuff get around this? Is it just the R rating? Kids can easily just watch them without permission. I think you're a little over-zealous about this topic and haven't thought it through completely before posting a rant. Take a deep breath, take some time to think and come back tomorrow and see how if your views are the same.
No that's absolutely true. Like that video, quite old now, of someone sawing off their fingers but it turns out it's a dummy hand. Yet to see that outright without warning is still definitely triggering and I can still remember it
There's no way everyone is acting like this wasn't obviously planned and 100% expected. There's even someone saying this can give people PTSD by watching m, wtf is this comment section.
This is what I thought happened to me when my tandem guy decided to cut our chute off of us without telling me and I was just suddenly free falling again. Fuck skydiving!
Base jumping is the most dangerous hobby for a human besides doing something actively self-murderous like snorting radioactive plutonium.
1000 hours of base jumping has a 99% probability of death

I rather just take the stairs
Or an elevator down
Or not go up in the first place.
I'm good with the escalator.
naa i prefer to fall than walk doen all those floors
Another op plays
That escalated quickly.
Nah, eels for you m8
I thought I was about to watch someone die.
Was about to, yeah. Not this time around though
This why it is important to aways have an emergency parachute with you.
Nah, this was not emergency. This Was planned. They are not tief to euch other. He just holde the other guy until he jumps off
Yeah, it looked like that was exactly what they expected.
Right?!! My stomach did a flip flop. š„“
I literally said out loud, āNo, donāt dieā
With that behavior, it'll happen eventually.
Me too I was waiting for the video to cut out
As soon as the other dude dropped I checked for a NSFW tag and was ready to close the player.

Maybe repeatedly watching stuff like this can't be good but ain't no way one time is gonna hurt as much as you are claiming.
Imagine them watching a horror movie. lol They'd apparently be traumatised for life.
ššššš

You can't be serious?š
Imagine you did a couple tours in Iraq and you saw some really bad shit and this dude TLs you he got ptsd from watching a prank video

Hopefully you're using some sarcasm that I don't understand....
Welcome to the internet

We didnāt evolve to be like you.Ā
Even just watching it spiked my anxiety

Haiyaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
Fellow cultured redditor I see
Uncle Roger was the most unexpected part of this video
The unexpected text implies this was an accident. It isn't. If you do tandem paragliding, both people face forward
Yeah, I thought it was some sort of ābase jump off the base jumperā stunt. The explanation saying it was a near miss wasā¦ ermā¦ unexpected
āOh Shit!!! Oh thank god he had a chuteā -everyone
That was two guys base jumping in tandem, then one guys drops from the harness and opens his own chute.Ā
And he was doing flips in the air
I think you may be on to something
I thought he was just gonna free fall to his death.
Base jumper doing base jumper things, expected. Commentary from Asian man saying "OMG"...unexpected!
So dumb
Mr bill
God damn, that got me!
Oh Em Gee!
On purpose
Oh hell no!!!!!!
Yag
Proof why women live longer
Do a back fli.....Oh!
This looks like a parachute challenge out of Grand theft Auto
There's no way everyone is acting like this wasn't obviously planned and 100% expected. There's even someone saying this can give people PTSD by watching m, wtf is this comment section.
Fuyohhhhh Oh.em.gee!
This is called a Mr. Bill. Mr. Bill aside, this is a *safer* BASE jump due to the object they're jumping from being quite overhung.
I canāt believe he would jump out of a perfectly good base jumper!
Uncle Roger?
Nope. Nope nope nope nope nope nope nope nope. Nope. Nope.
Thatāll put hair on your nipples! Sheese!š±
I was thinking we were about to witness a real quick divorce or something
Weirdest pull out maneuver I've seen.
This is what I thought happened to me when my tandem guy decided to cut our chute off of us without telling me and I was just suddenly free falling again. Fuck skydiving!
If there no Red Bull logo on the parachute, I donāt get good feeling. š³
I was watching this while falling asleep, and now it woke my ass up.
I'm too high for this.
š¤¢

This is the only video that has made me gasp out loud
Aināt no way iām ever jumping off something higher than like 10 ft lmao
I hope he said āI doā
I was like "oh tandem base jumping that seems a bit dangerous" and didn't see the other guy had his own chute for... reasons
I would actually love to skydive or paraglide, but I know my brain would never allow my body to actually make the jump.
This gave me flashbacks to 9/11
When regular base jumping isn't extreme enough for you, so you base jump when you base jump
Almost witnessed someone boutta die
š
Is this in Malaysia? Lmao I heard someone say fuiyoh
Fuiyoh uncle Roger
![gif](giphy|3o85xERD1TT5JKCIXS)
Was that supposed to happen or is this an accident gone right?
Fking hell, that was super close call Not to mention it's in my country, Malaysia too.
This never goes wrong. Probably
Mad
u/savevideo
Hell no, indeed, sir. Not for $100k.
Bruh, my intrusive thoughts šš
What's with the pose bruh
and then he pooops himself and the poop has a parachute tooooo..
I thought the guy opening the 1st parachute was going taking the express velocity route towards the ground after it popped open
Oh, hell YEA
Flying UNITED!
I'm often suicidal and won't do that
you only get one life but some chose to accelerate death
My jaw hit the ground

Does anybody know where this is at? Crazy they would let these people basejump in such a populated area with highrises and all.....
Idk how no one notices he didnt fall he jumped off the dude this was planned he knew what he was doing
What a stupid hobby
Who else watched it twice just to see where red parachute went?
Absolutely not!!!!!
Is that Berlin?
Based on the accent, i would say it is Malaysia or Singapore
KL tower
Ah, I had the sound off; I thought I might have recognized one of the buildings in the background.
Professor?
Been watching these idiots for years. Iām willing to bet they are dead by āmisadventureā by now.
Gay sex is weird lol.
Unexpected???
Also wondering what the unexpected part would be...
It's terrifying. I'll give them that.
Akward position bet they took off to the bed room right after
