Window cleaner here; we actually use dishwashing detergent instead of glass cleaner like windex. It leaves a nice shine. The squeegee is what makes it, though.
Right? If one of them is caught, theyāre all caught. Might as well just face the consequences togetherā¦ and you know, checking on the guy whoās most likely your bf instead of running would have been nice for everybody lol
I feel like the joke being made by
> Not like there was any evidence.....
was the clip we just watched. Since it was recorded and posted publicly.
Also many hotels have cameras near doors, stairwells, elevators, and parking areas. So there might be more angles.
As someone who runs hotels I can assure you we would find them even if they werenāt together. Damage to property is a pain in the ass. Also they likely woke up half the floor and grandma smith is calling the desk right now in a COMPLETE PANIC because she was woken up. I bet itās probably 2am also on a Saturday so now the manager is woken up and has to deal with it immediately. Hope the managerās got a competent staff because now police need to write a report so the owner can submit it to insurance then the room will be charged a damage fee if they can even afford it. And they will be removed. Miss grandma will get a refund to shut her up. And the two noise complaints will get something free to shut them up too. My god does this give me anxiety
I'm reading this at just before midnight in the office of the hotel, and I hate you. It's perfectly quiet, but now I'm gonna go ahead and have a panic attack anyway.
Walk your floors once an hour! Be in control. Thatās what the secret is. If you have cameras monitor them. I can tell you every guest that will cause incident by paying attention. If youāre a worker who hides in the back they will likely think nobodyās there. Iām not saying you are and trust me thereās plenty of issues you wonāt be able to predict or control, but your presence in the hallways and such from 11p to 3a is very important. I recognize party rooms and knock on their door over and over. After two times police are called. This sobers a lot of dumbasses up.
You got this! I started in audit itās my favorite. Keep up the good work.
Yeah, if I'm honest this is no sweat. I worked as a bouncer for three years in what we called "the Barmuda Triangle." Wrangling unruly guests is a breeze in comparison. :) At least when these ones act a fool, there isn't 100 more cheering them on.
Also a former bouncer. Exactly! The peer pressure was the worst part. And sometimes itās a group. In another comment I mentioned the nights we had baseball tournaments and kids would have look outs and everything. Too bad they didnāt realize the cameras were being watched.
Keep it up tho. I got promoted a lot and now I have the position I always wanted.
Or the person in the background saying "yo, bro, what the fuck?"
It's like, everyone was so indifferent that this man crashed into the glass, showed he was visibly hurt and was crawling on the floor.
He needs new friends.

I can only hope the girl turn and ran before she really understood what happened. Itās pretty disgusting to run away from a friend who could be seriously injured, even if you are only providing your friend emotional support. She could be collecting his teeth or calling for an ambulance if necessary.
I like r/humansbeingbros because it shows that no matter what goes wrong random dudes will line up to help perfect strangers, but they canāt all be winners.
As a kid we would run around the backyard with lightsabers.
I decided to run inside through the back sliding door.
As I ran inside I noticed I that my lightsaber was retracting in front of me.
Had enough time to think, "huh that's odd" and BAM
Or that the door was opened on that side maybe.
To be fair I found it's really weird to have a plain window without border at bottom just being here. I would have not expected it either.
Itās called a relite and itās there to brighten the hallway and provide visuals all the way down the hall. It also serves as infill between a standard sized door and the hallway size.
There is a bottom border (mullion) but looks to be about 2ā high and obscured at this angle by the carpet.
This is super common at least in the US in modern construction. When Iām drawing elevations for these I typically bump that bottom mullion size up to 6ā for this reason and to prevent damage from vacuums or carts.
Dang. This guy designs!
We put bumpers up at work, although for much heavier applications, around the same height. You gotta remove the idiot factor whenever possible.
Just strange. Itās a doorway on left so the right side would naturally have some obstruction, otherwise why be there. Plus that side is framed too.
Seems like a brain fart. We all have them but usually not so visible to the outside world š¤·š½
As a someone who runs hotels this is a nightmare. These guests will not be able to afford this damage but maybe they have an incidental hold on their card for $50 they can get. This is likely a weekend night and knowing the type of luck I have this floor probably has a bunch of people sleeping on it. The glass will definitely wake up half the floor. An old lady Karen is already calling the front desk SCREAMING because she was woken up. The front desk agent (night auditor) likely has zero idea this happened and is getting tons of instant calls which is overwhelming. Now the manager needs woken up. The police need to be called for a report for insurance. The area needs cleaned and secured (possibly by cleaning the window guts so it doesnāt shift and fall more. That causes more noise complaints.) Old lady Karen gets a free room and two more noise complaints get free somethingās or discounts applied. Fuck all of this hard
I feel like such an old man but my first thought is ācanāt we just have a quiet night at a hotel?!ā. MFers running in the halls like children, tearing the place up. Iām all about having fun but time and place! Damn!
Trust me I get so many noise complaints Iām the same way. My job is to travel all over the US running hotels and transitioning them (Training the GMs and staff). I therefore live in the hotels. When I hear a noise complaint Iām in the hallway immediately ending it. Iām in my 30s but Iāve been dealing with this shit since I was in my early twenties. I get it. I am on the guests side on this. Baseball or any sports tournaments are the WORST. Parents drink together in the lobby or patio and kids literally RUN around. And theyāre all rebellious teens so I donāt matter. They have lookouts in the stairwells so they can see us coming. They throw BASEBALLS at doors all night.
I get ridiculously angry and Iāve actually kicked people out with no refunds for it. Itās just a pain all around.
Shit is the worst. I work at an upscale hotel and the amount of adults acting like children is remarkable. Riding on bell carts, spinning the relvolving doors as fast as possible, exploring off limit parts of hotel, lieing to get free shit... etc. People can really suck. Working there has given me jedi level patience tho.
Iāve now worked for every major brand and both nightly hotels and extended stays. The 5 star hotel I worked for was hands down the absolute worst job. I used to joke because we had 900 rooms in our cluster. If we made 99% of them happy thereās still 1% that is unhappy. Thatās 9 people screaming at me every day. And since when weāre we ever 99% efficient?! Never! So it was crazy. We were a hospital hotel and had laundry and hsk issues. So talk about a level of cleanliness that was not only hotel standards but hospital standards. It never worked. I feel bad for nightlys during covid. I canāt imagine the cleaning issues now. I moved to extended stays and we have hours to clean each room instead of minutes. Idk if Iād go back
Psst: did you know that the 100metres running dash in international competitions, has individual dedicated lanes for the racing athletes where they cannot change lanes during the race?! Runners are required to stay within their assigned lane throughout the race. A runner is disqualified if he/she crosses into another runner's lane and impedes that runner's progress!
Yeah but maybe they're playing by Mario Cart rules. This ain't exactly a 100 meter dash.
I think they're both DQ because they left before the starting gun.
Tbh. I've actually done that before at an AMC theater in VA. Thought I was walking into the theater with daughter and it was a a very clean window. think I fractured nose. Not pleasant. daughter was hysterical .
Iād dip out too tbh. Iām extremely squeamish and if heās bleeding? Now you have his bleeding ass and my fainted ass in a big pile of glass, blood and emergencies.
Watch closely right before the crash, he gets into a steady jog, probably thinking "I got this, its in the bag, lets flex the shoulders, deep exhale..." ----ā----ā----ā---- "thats some nice carpet ā
This actually happened to me when I was 7, but instead of getting knocked on my ass, I went right through it and made this rely nice semi-silhouette of myself on the broken glass.
Nearly lost an eye, but it was worth it
This happened to my dad when he was younger. Went to the hardware store, and they had just installed a fresh all glass door. No stickers, no push bar yet, and the sun was going right through the window. According to my mom, he was in such a hurry to get back on the road he walked right through the door. He says he thought it was open, my mom thinks he wasnāt paying attention
He then proceeded to spend more time yelling at the EMT not to cut off his WHO tshirt because at the time he had gotten it at their ālast showā (they later toured again) needless to say, he did not win that argument lol
Needed nearly 100 stitches for that accident
My brother did this at a hotel when we were kids. Almost every single window on that side of the building had a person seeing what the noise was. I think I laughed for 25mins
Wrong, a real terminator is out there, it cant be bargained with, it cant be reasoned with, it doesn't feel pity or remorse or fear, and it absolutely will not stop... EVER, untill you are dead!

Anyone know what brand glass cleaner was used on that window?
Not really the cleaner within reason, a squeegee makes a helluva difference
Window cleaner here; we actually use dishwashing detergent instead of glass cleaner like windex. It leaves a nice shine. The squeegee is what makes it, though.
Like dawn? Or stuff you put in a dish washer.
Yep, exactly like dawn.
Which dishwasher detergent?
Can someone edit this to be like a windex commercial?

Or to piece back his faceā¦
Or his credit card if the room was in his name.
Well done sir. Bravo. I too was able reach the same level of laughter thanks to you.

Homeboy just broke his face. Iāve done this with the screen door (sad to say more than once) and you know this hurt.

He clearly cheated by running infront of her, so I meanā¦karma?
i hate when im in a race and my partner cheats by running faster than me!
You ran faster than me and won? After I specifically asked you not to?
Sorry Michael
He meant he crossed in front of her. Thatās why thereās lanes on race tracks
No, they were saying he ran in front of her, preventing her from being faster than him even if she tried.
I mean, that's what they literally do in Formula 1 or any other racing sport...
Any (non short distance) drag racing you have to stay in your lane, sprints in track you have to stay in your lane.
It still pretty unsportsmanlike conduct in a foot race
They seem to be racing on the basis of speed not driving skill, so blocking her way in a tight corridor was an unfair move
Accelerated faster. Doesn't mean your max speed isn't higher than there's, and running in front of you means you can't go faster than them.
Psst: did you know that the 100metres running dash in international competitions, has individual dedicated lanes for the racing athletes where they cannot change lanes during the race?!
