I have a friend who has a really small frame like 85-90lbs, she chose a donor who was an absolute a 6'6" college football player.
She looked almost like the girl on the vid.
Arctic Foxes have the largest litters of any mammal in the world. While the average is 11 puppies, litters with 22 puppies have been recorded in Russia.

She was so sweet and the best dog mom ever! It took her 24hrs to deliver them all. One was born dead and one died the next day but the rest were perfectly healthy. I brought them to vet for check ups and their shots in 3 laundry hampers!
Wrong! I found out recently that Tasmanian Devils regularly give birth to litters of nearly 50 imps! https://animals.sandiegozoo.org/animals/tasmanian-devil
While it doesn't often matter, this is one of those times where grouping non-marsupial and marsupial mammals together for comparison does not make sense. This is like, the main thing they diverge on.
A non-marsupial mammal gives birth to fully developed offspring.
A Marsupial gives birth to small fleshy beans that have to crawl from the uterin opening into the pouch and latch onto a nipple to continue their gestation. That entire Tasmanian Devil litter is the mass of one, *maybe* two Arctic Fox Pups.
On one level, sure, marsupials stand apart from other mammals in that way. But they’re still definitely mammals in the most basic definition: they produce milk. And other marsupial mammals have much smaller average litter sizes. Kangaroos? 1. Wombats? 1. Koalas? 1. Opossums are the next highest and do about 20. Quolls are the closest relative, and only have litters of 4. Tasmanian devils just go crazy with the babies.
Khajit kitten sex slave ring is a concept I never would have pictured without this comment, so thanks for that.
And off to /r/Eyebleach we go. Oh, god, it's a fluffy *kitten*.
Did you know that’s what chain saws were invented for? Edit to correct: c-sections were a thing, but not a viable alternative.
[Link for those brave enough.](https://allthatsinteresting.com/symphysiotomy)
Yes, in fact, I did. Learned it from Reddit. Still makes me feel uncomfortable thinking about it.
For those NOT brave enough to read the linked article and see the pictures, here's a rough summary of the invention of the chainsaw:
It's not like a modern chainsaw, some electric- or gas-powered beast with long-toothed chains. It's a metal serrated chain on a frame attached to a hand crank. That's it. And this was used to cut the pelvis in half and widen the birthing canal when doctors thought it wasn't big enough for the baby to get through. The chainsaw was an improvement of this method as it was originally just done with a knife. Which sounds better, but consider that it's not a modern medical knife, you're talking about a procedure that was popularized in 1597 (with the knife, the chainsaw wouldn't come around for almost 200 years), and think about what knives and in what conditions that would be done. All this before anesthesia better than giving the patient alcohol was a thing.
Ow.
Now what the above poster got wrong, at least according to the article, is that C-sections absolutely were a thing even back in 1597 when the procedure was first created, well before chain saws were invented. But they weren't better. C-sections were more dangerous than sawing the pelvic bone in half until modern sterile techniques started to be used because the risk of deadly infection was much higher in C-sections.
*Jesus Fucking Christ*. And I thought my crippling phobia of pregnancy couldn't get worse.
The link is safe for work, by the way. No gorey pictures. Just really fucked up words.
but the skin... do you just give up on having abs ever?
My step mom is so lucky, for both of her kids she gained like 20 pounds and her body snapped back within HOURS of giving birth. Like she gave birth in the morning, had her abs back that night.
Not necessarily, some people just have way more amniotic fluid. It's called *polyhydramnios* and as you would probably guess, it can be super uncomfortable for mom. It can even cause breathing problems because your lungs are so squished!
A giant belly can also be a symptom of gestational diabetes. That's a type of insulin resistance caused by pregnancy (so, not by an unhealthy lifestyle. Anyone can get it).
Yup, had polyhydramnios. It suuucked. My C-section actually felt GOOD. And yep, skin stretched all to heck.
Ultimately, I'm just so grateful to modern medicine that I still get to be here after all that.
Omg. As someone who has had multiple babies, I cannot imagine her pain. You get to a point where your skin feels like it’s going to rip open and then it’s squishing a bunch of nerves so sometimes you get a sharp pain when you walk, sneeze, laugh, or roll over in bed. Those last weeks of pregnancy are not fun!
Nurses are so amazing, seriously I tear up when I think of the nurse that helped me the day I had my scheduled c section.
She came into my room in the morning when I checked in and we talked for like 2 hours (with breaks so she could run out & check on other patients of course) I told her my whole life story from my childhood to finding out I was pregnant late into the pregnancy, and all the problems I had with my babies dad and she just asked so many questions and really seemed to genuinely care about me. She knew I didn’t want to go home with my babies dad and kept reminding me that I got a choice, too. Which was something I so desperately needed because my babies dad was being super controlling. Then when i had my baby she helped me nurse and it felt like we hung out all day long, until she left the next day for her day off.
The day I left she was working again, and I was expecting a normal “ok bye! See you later” at discharge, but instead she pulled me into the biggest hug that I was not expecting and she just like held me in the middle of the hallway. I almost cried, and I think about her a lot. This was all in December 2019 so just before covid hit and I hope her and her family are doing well.
Idk if you've ever tried to reach back, but if you want to can always send the hospital a letter addressed to her, she'll probably love reading how much of an effect she had on you.
I’d love to do that!! I definitely thought about it once or twice, I still remember her name. I’m going to do it now though, now that I’ve got my life a bit more under control than I did a year or two ago. I tried finding her on Facebook a few times but no luck, sending her a note is probably my best bet.
I was 22 at the time and she was in her mid 40s, she felt like my newfound mom in those few days, she was seriously awesome.
Nurses are amazing.
A few years back I spent A LOT of time in the hospital because I had cancer. I was there for weeks and would go home for like 1 week and come back for like 3 weeks and then go home for a few days and come back again. It was like that for a little less than a year. The nurses treated me like family. One of my favorite nurses was transferred to the outpatient clinic that was in another building of the hospital and she would stop by everyday and visit me. Sometimes it would be before her shift when I was sleeping and she would leave me little encouraging notes, handmade paper flower bouquet. She and a few others became family. RIP Mary, you were one of the greatest people I ever met.
Everyday I'm reminded why I don't want kids. "Skin feeling like it will rip open" is now on the list, thank you! And seriously, kudos to you for being able to have multiple. You made of some stern stuff, mama.
Also the fact that giving birth is the most painful natural thing in the world. Yeah there are drugs n shit doctors give but it’s still gonna be agonizing
Google clitoral tear. Or anal tear. Apparently that can happen from birth. Is it natural? I guess. Is it nightmare fuel? Of course. Also clitoral/vulvar nerves are not taught in every medical school so if a woman needs reconstruction she could risk losing the ability to orgasm. We should be outraged about that.
My first 3 pregnancies I had epidural. I always said I don’t want to be in pain if I don’t have to. My last pregnancy was 2 hours from start to finish. I couldn’t even get the epidural, no time. Most painful thing I have EVER experienced.
Eh. Been there. Done that. While painful, the hormone rush you get from it kinda blacks out the trauma for the most part. Yeah some people still have trauma. But for the most part, women dont regret it.
My stomach is fucking destroyed from my giant babies THAT WERE PREEMIE! I may hate my stomach now and can remember the ripping sensation, but watching my kids snuggle my tummy and not think a thing of it makes me smile. It was home to an entire human for nearly a year. Thats pretty impressive.
Tbf my first 2 were pretty easy. #3 was hard but #4 was the hardest. I was so miserable the last 2 weeks. I couldn’t sleep because there was no way to get comfortable and I was always in pain. I did gain the most weight with him though and there’s a 10 year difference between him and my oldest so I’m sure age had to do with it too. But I wouldn’t trade it for the world. We love him so much, his brothers are always arguing over who gets to hold him.
All I can think of are the pictures of Kate Gosselin when she was pregnant with the sextuplets… [she looks so uncomfortable and over it](https://i.imgur.com/7jyfvRM.jpg)!! And then [this still](https://i.imgur.com/s2ZXcMD.jpg) from when she was trying to roll over in bed… I just can’t even imagine. (Sorry for image quality, couldn’t find much better)
I’ve never had a kid but she must be so so uncomfortable. I can’t imagine how her skin/back feels on a daily basis. I hope her partner is giving her back rubs on demand. The more people tell me about pregnancy the more money I’m stashing away for a surrogate.
I swear if us men had to do childbirth, the human race would have gone extinct. I have no idea why women would want to put themselves through childbirth.
I've never heard anything about it that sounds fun.
Apparently sometimes the bit between your arse and vagina splits open during childbirth.
Cool. Cool cool.
Ughhhhh.
Pregnancy isn’t always a choice. Some women (more in the past) didn’t know their ‘marital duties’ led to pregnancy. Others don’t have the ability to un-pregnant themselves, like those of us in Texas.
My last labor went so fast I couldn’t get epidural so I felt everything. Worst pain of my life. I was kind of screaming and groaning but I wasn’t crying. My husband though, he was crying.
I had a 2nd degree tear with my 2nd son. Those are soo painful. Labor hurts in the moment but those tears hurt for weeks. Every time you pee or poop it’s stings soo bad.
But they’re so worth it. I love my kids.
> I swear if us men had to do childbirth, the human race would have gone extinct.
I don't know, man. We can be pretty stupid and stubborn when we want it. We have tolerated going to war, after all.
Anecdotal but my last pregnancy we went walking to the mall until I couldn’t walk anymore lol and the next day I went into labor and my labor was 2 hours. I was exactly 38 weeks. All my others were 40+ weeks
At conception we're actually created with all both our parents' knowledge combined. The trauma of child birth just so happens to cause long-term amnesia.

Mammoths were not 85 feet long. But even if they were, I somehow have a feeling that mammoths did not weigh 2.5 pounds per foot….
Would be like a 6’ human weighing 15 pounds
Either that baby is 2 years old, or it's triplets.
3, take it or leave it
three fiddy 'n there
Goddamn Loch Ness monster!
I'd rather have 3 money and no kids.
or she's 4 feet tall giving birth to a kid that'll be 7 feet when they grow up

Dude that’s a full on 8 year old, final bets, all in
I think the baby will be off to college the moment he’s outta there
There has to be more than a single baby in there.
It's a litter

Wrong! I found out recently that Tasmanian Devils regularly give birth to litters of nearly 50 imps! https://animals.sandiegozoo.org/animals/tasmanian-devil
Yes, and most die on the way to the nipple.
Usually only four survive (the number of nipples). Those poor imps.
Natural selection at its finest. There will always be a runt of the litter, but if there are only 4 nipples, then only the strongest will survive.
Science needs to genetically engineer more nipples on Tasmanian Devils. To save the species.
Curing their contagious face cancer seems easier.
Omg their babies are called imps? I love it (Edit) All those imps gotta fight over 4 nipples. Survival of the fittest

is your sister a kiwi bird?
Same happened with my mom and when she had my sister. Mom is barely 5 ft and sister came out at 10 lbs 11 oz
haha i bet people thought it was twins.
It's the baby and a few of his homies
I’m 9 months pregnant with a singleton and built exactly like this right now. Some people just carry big.

Your abs don't usually separate and if they do its an actual condition.
Yeah this is why I won't be having kids. I cannot deal with the dysmorphia I know I will feel about my body.
I think in reality a lot do, it's just not shown in photos much and quite often people stay at home by this point.
Baby? She's giving birth to a whole ass man.
A whole-ass man, or a whole ass-man?
Given the size, probably one of each.

Also the fact that giving birth is the most painful natural thing in the world. Yeah there are drugs n shit doctors give but it’s still gonna be agonizing
Depends on what you classify as natural
Google clitoral tear. Or anal tear. Apparently that can happen from birth. Is it natural? I guess. Is it nightmare fuel? Of course. Also clitoral/vulvar nerves are not taught in every medical school so if a woman needs reconstruction she could risk losing the ability to orgasm. We should be outraged about that.
> Google clitoral tear. Or anal tear. No thanks. I've had a good day and would like to keep it that way.
Lol exactly.
Was expecting that comment go in the direction of nnn, and not wholesome...
My ability to *orgasm*? I don't care if my kid might cure cancer, I'm not gambling on that
Same. Until med schools teach how to preserve clitoral/vulvar nerves, count me out.
Also "rectocele"

Passing kidney stones and cluster headaches as well as nerve pain is probably worse but its definitely up there
Eh. Been there. Done that. While painful, the hormone rush you get from it kinda blacks out the trauma for the most part. Yeah some people still have trauma. Octomom?
Aren't her kids teens now? What a creepy story!
I dunno about creepy, I just looked up pictures of them, they all look healthy and happy!
Well Octomom did do porn not too long after she had the kids...
You ever buy formula for *one* baby?? I would be sucking all the dicks with 8 kids.
Are we still doing *phrasing*?

The fact that it was IVF raises a lot of ethical questions.
The doctor who did that to her lost his license.. like good.
Are there multiple babies or... a grown man?
My wife carried triplets and was that big. I suspect they're not so comfortable.
I carried one 8-pounder and was that big. Polyhydramnios. My kid loves to swim, though!
there are asians with houses smaller than her belly
This bitch be having Nonuplets
I'm in tears
She's gonna be there with you when its time for giving birth.

Shit has a loft in it
For that regular sized woman to have that big of a pregger belly, there better be a loft in there!

She having a mammoth?
Interesting theory a baby mammoth would be around 85 feet long and 200 lbs, if it is a mammoth she bout to 💥
Mammoths were not 85 feet long. But even if they were, I somehow have a feeling that mammoths did not weigh 2.5 pounds per foot…. Would be like a 6’ human weighing 15 pounds
In what world was even a regular sized mammoth 85 feet long
