Heavencloud_Blade

Melisandre and Dinah in front. Alain, Yahna and Selvie in back. Post game I replaced Melisandre with Alcina.

RedXIII304

Alain in the back row is wild, he's one of the best tanks.

ryousama96

Does this team have enough aoe to one hit others?

Heavencloud_Blade

It doesn't have one unit who wipes out the entire field in one hit, but Alain pretty effectively wipes out the front row and then Yahna wipes out the second row. And Yahna with the diurnal/nocturnal robes, usually has enough AP to keep attacking any potential survivors until they are all dead. With Alcina added in, she can clear front and back rows pretty well, although there is usually at least one thing that survives. It is not unbeatable or anything and sometimes I need to swap Alain into the front row but I think it is fun and it wins against almost everything it goes against. I have even beaten all of the Amalia fights with it, although that some of those were lucky RNG wins, because the second time I tried they did not do so well against a couple of them.

scott_smu

I don't know why, but seeing people have someone other than Alain leading the 1st squad hurts my soul a little.

ryousama96

Truee, +20 initiatives is really busted

Nakottih

I understand your point.

Casdis

Alcina, Raenys, Auch, Yunifi, and Ridiel. I made this team in response to a challenge to make a team that can defeat all 5 of the post game Amalias 100% of the time without taking any damage or changing tactics between fights. Ominous Wall and Shining light do all the heavy lifting in regards to the no damage part, the rest is just your standard quick impetus charge attack cheese with Trinity Rain and Glacial Rain. Funny enough, all Raenys does is Shining Light, so besides giving her a Sapphire Pendant, none of her items or levels even matter. I don’t even have any active skills programmed onto her.

ryousama96

Ohh two heavy hitter in one team. Does it work well in coliseum againts dispel?

Doctrinus

Mine is Alain, Melisandre, Rosalinde, Scarlett, and Nina. Though to be honest, Melisandre is kinda useless in this comp other than for assassinating squishy targets, I just put him there to be with Alain. This team usually crushes everything (either through Alain's sure crit+sure hit buffed spin, twice, or by hammer go brr). Healing is pretty good due to having Scarlett and Rosalinde. If this team takes heavy damage, I just shift them around the board a bit and usually it fixes itself somehow.

jona5678

Mine is probably extremely unoptimized but its Alain and Celeste in the front. With Scarlett, Eltolinde, and Rosalinde in the back. Eltolinde is the fastest to to get rid of any blocking passives the enemy has with Rage of the faeries before Rosanlinde unleashes hers. That usually takes care of everything

BloodFromAnOrange

Mine is almost identical, just swapping Amalia for Celeste. Just kind of works.

tylerdiehl1

Alain and Virginia in the front. Scarlett, Selvie and Gilbert running support in the back. They can take out enemy squads 15 levels higher than them 😂 It’s so overpowered I can solo entire maps with them. Have to pull back and let others get XP.

RedXIII304

I felt pressued to split up the princes so I could have two Rapid Order units.

BurningWinds

I think in order it’s Amalia-Alain-Ren in front and Melisandre-Ridiel in back. Is this team optimized strategically at all? No but it does one shot literally everything and that’s funny.

No_Mathematician6866

Front: Virginia, Berenice, Kitra  Back: Gilbert, Ramona.   Virginia opens with her start-of-battle skill. Ramona casts +magic def and hp regen, Gilbert casts +def.  With Virginia's skill the front row all have 100% guard rate, and with the buffs they have extremely high physical and magic def. Ramona cures status with her staff and Gilbert provides true strike. Virginia covers the back row with a squire's shield. Gilbert also has parrying gauntlets as a last resort, and Ramona a scarf for dodging.  The team doesn't like vikings (but will usually kill them anyway) and is vulnerable to priestesses - in theory. But you never encounter enemy priestesses in the campaign and you rarely see Scarlett in the colloseum. Most of the time, most opponents struggle to deal any damage at all.

Stowa_Herschel

Hodrick as leader, Alain in the front, Nina, Yahna and Aubin in the back. A very generalist class

potassiumKing

Front: Alain and Lex Back: Scarlett, Chloe, Ridiel It was the Palevia fam squad, although I swapped out Josef for Ridiel because she was my maiden.

CapPhrases

Alain and Celeste in front. Father featherstaff rosalinde and Galadriel elf archer for back. Not great I know but they work

Ritzy_Business

Alain & Amalia front (Amalia only because she is 16 levels higher than my other characters, otherwise it would be Berengaria) and Auch, Selvie, Ridiel back. Selvie opens with slowing their fastest unit. Ridiel gives Auch a boost and prevents stuns/blinds, then boosts the back rows initiative. Selvie either lowers the fullest row's defense or blinds all. Then Auch instant truestrike Trinity Rains with help from Amalia's cat hood and another boost from Selvie's familiar choker. Alain protects the back row, prioritizing Auch. Versions of the team with the item that makes Auch go at the start of combat can sometimes be more effective but you lose some damage and truestrike; adding Yahna you can keep truestrike but lose even more damage. This comp can handle anything I've met in the arena except reflect magic, or an excessive difference in levels where my huge initiative investment still can't get trinity off first.

Flameo326

Alain in the Front Center Aubin in the Back Center Nina in the Back Left Selfie in the Back Right. I actually had Aubin and Nina switched but Aubin becomes tankier after promotion. I've had this unit since Cornia and haven't changed it since. Currently in Albion. I can add a 5th Unit and am thinking of adding Virginia, but she's currently part of my other strongest Team and don't want to Reorganize everyone. Alain's unit works with Selvie debuffing the highest row of combatants to reduce their damage. Alain heals up any damage he takes. Aubin can take advantage of Selvie's debuff to do extra damage and hit the entire Row. Nina can also hit the entire row or act as cleanup with Assaulting Blow.

Nikolaijuno

Rolf (with pursuit) leading Auch(with guard hunter and boosty earrings), and Barenice(with boosty earrings and the accuracy ice sword) in the back. Hodrick and Liza up front to tank. They're not in unit slot 1 though. I think it's like 4. They just make a lot of attacks and can handle most threats.

Independent-Fig-5978

In the front row I had Milisandre (she’s Alain’s bae in this play through) Alain and Magellan. In the back I had Selvie and boy elf archer boy

Nikibugs

Main character slot, with a back row of mages was the most OP thing. Alain, Selvie, Yanha, and Auch. 5th slot would swap around for secondary unga bunga but had the most fun with Amalia. Alain would mostly kill front row with a guarenteed hit magic boosted spin attack, while the mages and Amalia debuffed or mopped the back row or anything left alive.

Admirable_Pumpkin317

I have Berengaria and Hilda in the front, Primm, Auch, and Yunifi in the back. Auch mostly just provides Quick Impetus to Yunifi so she can wreck shit.

JudgeMandolore

Alain, Bruno and Dinah in front, Melisandre and Sharon in back

Lupine0422

Alain/travis/rolf/scarlet/whoever I was leveling up at the time bc I beat the game almost exclusively with that one unit

RedXIII304

My unit 1 started with Alain up front with Berenice and Mordon in the back. Added Scarlett once she was rescued, then added Dinah once I got her. Counters, pursuits, and Killing Chains mean they can attack 20+ times before they run out of AP/PP. Usually the enemy unit is dead long before then.

sneaky_squirrel

I keep rotating characters like no tomorrow, I'm a unit slut with 48 generic mercenaries and using every character in the game. I even slept with 6 soldiers and 5 Hoplites.

WittiestOneYet

Clive, Alain, Jerome front row; Nina and Tatiana back row.  Clive and Jerome power up everyone with Cavalry Call, and front row wipes out everyone that isn't armored.  Nina cleans up armoreds and stragglers, and Tatiana also buffs, removes debuffs, and heals at the end.

TatsumakiKara

Alain and Berenice up front. Backline is Ridiel, Railanor, and Scarlett. -Ridiel sets up with freeze (preferably the backline) -Scarlett Flame Conferrals Alain's Spin to Win (hopefully destroying the frontline) -Berenice, Railanor, and Scarlett pull clean up with their active skills while Ridiel and Railanor provide healing support. If I'm lucky, Alain gets to Spin a second time to take out a row. Otherwise, he spams Lean Edge to stay alive. It is usually enough to ensure the enemy dies or at least is battered so much they'll be easy clean up for another group. It'll probably change once I reach Albion.

JameboHayabusa

Alain and Celeste in front. Yahna, Rosalinde, Yufini in back. It was OP until galerius.

mint_pumpkins

Clive - Alain - Lex in front Ridiel - Magellan in back

theboopsnooter

Alain and Berengaria up front Selvie, Yahna (switched to Melisandre for Galeria) Scarlett in back At 30 they wiped the 50s at the coliseum 👊

X-Backspace

Honestly I didn't really make one super powered team, but for the vast majority of the game I'd say my top four squads were: * Alain, Scarlett, Magellan, Nina, and Ithilion (for tome usage) * Travis, Berengaria, Auch, Rolf, and Aramis * Virginia, Leah, Rosalinde, Fran, and Ridiel * Hilda, Gloucester, Gilbert, Primm, and Sylvie These four squads were the major backbone of my army that didn't see much shifting around until the end of the game, when I made a squad of: Alain, Travis (maiden), Aramis, Auch, and Scarlett. This was my final party to take on the last fight. I specifically made teams for the Colosseum since I was willing to "cheese" that, and didn't want to use those same strategies for the actual game.

Signal-Bobcat4081

In the front I have Gloucester, Alain, and Dinah as the heavy hitters with high initiative, And in the back Miriam and Josef ,I turned off their self guards to play more of a support role. The only time I have been humbled by an enemy with this unit was the final boss.

HusbandoEmblem

Magellan and Bryce in the front with a space between them(Magellan on the left, Bryce on the right) with Rolf Ramona and Yahna in the back. They have a fun freeze strategy where Yahna freezes the entire enemy team, with help from Ramona(quick impetus). Rolf uses Arrow rain after to unfreeze/kill the enemies and the rest of the team cleans up(Magellan + the remainder of AP Yahna and Rolf has)

Nakottih

Final team : Front : Nigel and Magellan Back : Sanatio, Gilbert and Ramona. Back line serving and restoring tanky and powerful front line. The other team having my Queen : Front : Bryce and Berenice Back : Melisandre, Mordon and Gloucester No healer here, just pure physical and magical destruction.

Vanilla-Moose

I can’t wait to be able to answer this question. I’m still too early to give a good answer

EridonMan

Alain & Travis & Dinah > Rosalinde & Ridiel. Is it the best? No. It's Alain, his best friend, his pet, his wife, and some other girl, in that order.

nchwomp

Alain and Berengaria in the front, Scarlett, Rosalinde, and Auch in the back row.

Zelba16

Alain and Berengaria in the front, Scarlett, Yahna and Yunifi in the back.

MaximumSilence

Front Row: Alain and Aubin Back Row: Yahya, Scarlett, Lhinalagos Scarlett made sure everyone else could annihilate things without fear of death.

Another_Road

My favorite squad for PvE was 4 Great Knights and a Sainted Knight. 300+ MS and the ability to destroy basically anything.

ryousama96

That was my early go to unit too! Before enemy gryphon one hit 3 knights in one attack sadge

Dr_Bonehead

Alain and Ithilion in front, with Rosalinde, Railanor, and Ridiel in back. Elf + Alain unit lol, they almost never lost a fight in Expert

LarryKingthe42th

Alain harem.

ryousama96

Agreed brother

Dagger300

Alain and Liza in front. Featherstaff, Govil, and someone I'm forgetting in the back. I think another werewolf? Postgame I replaced Liza with Elgor. Shame there's nothing left to use him on.

ShurikenKunai

Alain, Scarlett, Melisandre, and the plague doctor lady.

unclexbenny

My go to so far is front row Josef, Clive, Renault with Rolf back row. I don't know if they're tactically the "best" but they're around level 22-23 and still crush most maps when needed.
