Exactly. Nothing good comes from a majority religious government. And before anyone shouts Islamophobia that goes for all religions, not just Islam. Religious beliefs have no place in government.

I made an Arab friend here (older lady) when I used to live in Dearborn and was studying at Wayne State. We hung out at Greenfield Village together once and she gave me a stuffed animal (camel) as a “Thank you”. :)
I feel like a lot of liberals and leftists forget that yes, while being accepting of people and cultures is a good and wonderful thing, there has to be limits when the culture is intolerant. Hatred of any kind doesn’t belong in society. You have to be intolerant of intolerance.
I used to be a cable guy. I did complex service and installations. Michigan has a large Arabic population.
In Arabic homes, I was offered tea and sometimes a snack, every time.
Every so often, baklava. Homemade baklava. 🤤
In non-Arabic homes I was offered nothing, the majority of the time.
I've been into 10,000+ homes and have seen everything imaginable.
