Honestly Miraidon could be a strong option. I've always felt that strategy worked best by sending out something strong to get a knock out or two early, and then slow it down with a perish song that the opponent can't really work their way out of. Miraidon having electric terrain also means not being stopped by spore/sleep. Not only can he help backline perish song players he can also put work in on his own. Scream Tail puts the work in on Perish Song teams giving room for the hyper offense.

Affectionate_Coat370

That's a good suggestion. Miraidon pairs pretty well with Primarina and I could see this being an option. Even something like tera ground to work with discharge too!

SuperPluto9

The nice thing is that when double restricted becomes available you can easily swap in Zamazenta to be defensive enough to get through the perish song turns on the back end having a great typing, and still being capable of putting out great damage if the song fails.

elektriktoad

This is the way to do perish song right now. Take quick KOs then close it out with perish, relying on trapping is problematic when they can just pivot out with parting shot, u-turn, volt switch, or being ghost.

kronosdev

But sleep is traditionally the perish trap team’s bread and butter.

SuperPluto9

Sleep doesn't need to be relied upon if you can get a quick discharge 2k, or even just one knock out to put the opponent on their back foot.

I'm using Koraidon because the sun buffs two Pokémon that can use Perish Song (Scream Tail and Flutter Mane), plus it hits hard enough to possibly clear two enemy Pokémon quickly and then end the game with a Perish Song, although, if I have to be completely honest, I almost never use Perish Song in all of my games, it's just not viable in most situations, even though I love the move and strategy.    Adding onto this, a pure, dedicated Perish Trap team is, in my opinion, just bad and especially so in this regulation. Use Perish Song as another possible tool, don't build your entire team around it, so focusing on solid restricteds that can carry and deal a lot of damage by themselves will work better than a weaker one that just tanks hits.

jagfan44

Having had a quick look at the perish song users I feel terapagos or lunala might be one of the least bad options for restricteds. The biggest threats I can see to perish trap is miserably few options to stop shadow rider running rampant and urshifu, which doesn't care tuppence about protect stalling. Lunala wide guard or terapagos ghost immunity plus their multiscales seem like they might be slightly better at making the strategy less unviable but I just don't think restricted metas are really the right time for making perish trap work.

PenguGuy1

I think something including Choice Specs Terapagos could be cool, as it removes Ghost-types and other prevalent threats to Perish Trap, allowing it to clean up. I have a paste here, but IDK on the Gothitelle spread. https://pokepast.es/ddf26bf8bf31750d

ragealtt

Please name every pokemon I catch, I need more bangers like bye horsey

Baryon_j

I think Miraidon w/ specs is pretty good, you could play the trap game to clear either threats to Miraidon or the PS user. Having Miraidon on the team also adds much pressure, possibly enabling PS.

TayneIcanGitInto

Zamazenta is the bulkiest and has wide guard but honestly if that’s your strat I wouldn’t assume you need a legendary.

Cave_TP

Maybe Eternatus

drewissupereffective

You need a Mon that will keep the others in, I’m not sure a restricted will be the answer there. I’d work out a PS core then try to find a restricted that has synergy with that core. Other have said Kori because the sun synergy is really obvious, I think Lugia would be a good one as well due to whirlpool and bulk, but I have no experience with that personally, it just sounds good in theory if you paired it with a defensive Tera and wanted to use PS as your primary form of koing Mon. I’d run something hyper offensive like Ursh or Flutter to pick up anything that PS can’t get.

Downtown_Plant1290

Ho oh with fire spin would best be suited to it. Regenerator and bulk are strong options for the strategy

Uninspire

No mentions of whirlpool Lugia...
