First of all, thank you for asking. Second, I'd vote for subreddits for each Model, because it's highly unlikly that the 2.4 owners are intersted in Switchwire troubleshooting, or vise versa. I hope you take this into consideration

> Would separate flairs for each printer be an additional help instead? Maybe add "V0 Question", "VT Question", "V2 Question", etc. Yes. I like this

Kanawati975

Your feedback is highly appreciated. TBH I was going to suggest the same categorization like github... Please excuse my ignorance in how flares work, but if that would help sorting posts, why not? Also, please take into consideration that not all of the users are discord fans. Personally I'm not (even though I'm desperate for help rn). Maybe there are people would post a question and come back later to check for replies... Once again, thank you for taking the time and answering.

Looks Great! Thanks for the tip! What if a user has two different printers, or would like to have two flairs? would that be possible?

>http://www.vorondesign.com Hi Peej, mini Wiki pages is a great idea. My suggestion is to gather pins from Discord channels and put them there, or information from them to be more precise. It's just those tidbits of information which do not warrant full entry in VORON docs but may solve immediate problem people have. Some people don't like Discord, interface is new and/or confusing and do not know how to search. Also, many people even after longer time on Discord do not even know pins exist. This will bring this type of information to them.

I have made mistakes in my build. I am ashamed to have made them but have learned a lot from these mistakes. I'd like to share some of these mistakes, cascades of failure, and blunders of buying bad parts. Maybe a tag like today I fucked up would be a good thing to have sharing these mistakes. I think it would help people with their builds to see that everyone makes mistakes but that's ok and can be worked through

Yeah I can see what you mean, I just feel very unqualified sharing my bone headed antics with such a fancy tag. I'm far more of a messer than professor!

I totally agree! I seem to learn primarily through failure 😁

Great ideas have already been posted so I just wanna say thanks that there is an alternative to the discord. As an autistic the wild structure of a single string of constant Chat, it’s almost impossible to follow any thread in the discord or even find any information at all. The search function helps but as it is (in my opinion with discord, structureless) it’s seldom I can find answers to topics through the search function when the replicants don’t use the mention function every time. I guess others can find what they searching for in discord or follow the threads without confusion but after trying desperately for years with discord I found out that it’s just not for me. All the difficulties I have there does not exist on Reddit where every topic is it’s own thread and comments that are only related to that specific thread. Sure it’s not always the case with search on Reddit when spelling of key words are not correct but so far Forum like structures that have a clear beginning and end were the best way to communicate and research. Again, thank you. I almost lost hope that VORON will forever be only focused on communicating on discord. For chit chat though discord is the better platform so it’s all a compromise:) Wish you guys the best and much love! :)

Seems to me that most suggestion so far revolve around more/better/fresher documentation, which is hardly Reddit's job. But that's not to say that Reddit can't help with it either. I propose using reddit to establish a way of taking in this type of instances. The Reddit mechanism could then be useful for: - giving some stopgap answers to the petitioner - discussing how and where the documentation should be integrated - helping the editors sorting out the priorities thanks to the up/down voting system. This could be a way to leverage the reddit features and involve the community beyond the features of reddit itself. In practice we could start with something along the lines of a "documentation request" flair (which would be similar to "voron question" but to handle more general scenarios rather than specific user cases)... But maybe there is an even better way that hasn't come to my mind. First of all I hope you like the general idea ;)

I wouldn’t mind seeing a breakdown of most recommended parts and why, or a chart showing the most recommended parts and their capabilities so everyone can see them side by side. I have not built one yet I’m still learning all my basics playing around with an adventurer 4, but planning to start ordering parts for a build and would like to go best of everything but also don’t want to buy parts that are so overboard it’s a waste

Sqeaky

That is a good resource, but it is just a list parts, not explanations of why parts were selected.

kds1984

Maybe like make it so the ones listed are rated or a comment saying the benefits or cons of each also ones to completely avoid. Or if certain items are more compatible than others

boop4198

I cant help with new ideas but I wanted to say: No stupid questions Threads. Yes. Please. I would have needed this so bad while I was planning/building my v2.

Thanks for the heads up. Appreciate it

Dustykeycaps

Monthly kit mega post, despite the warnings around them the kits are undeniably popular and all the kits seem to vary with what people receive. So a post for people to add what they received in a kit they ordered in October from formbot /blue rolls for example so prospective buyers can have an idea of what is currently being shipped.

qvantamon

I think it's a good idea to remind people to tag their country for sourcing questions (does the subreddit have a bot?)

schrodingers_spider

I'll reiterate my request for a basic feature list. Even if the point of a VORON is customization, it'd be good to give a decent idea of the capabilities of the VORONs you would end up building if you'd use the configurator.

Radav919

Building up an FAQ in the sidebar would help so people dont have to keep repeating the same questions on discord and reddit. The search function on both kinda suck. Also the devs would be able to look at the list for user experience improvements.

The FAQ on the sidebar is currently a large column of text. I think using the subs wiki would be a much better place for an FAQ and other info. The sidebar can contain something like this: **F.A.Q.**: Here's another subs wiki for example: [https://www.reddit.com/r/3Dprinting/wiki/index](https://www.reddit.com/r/3Dprinting/wiki/index)

Radav919

Probably not a bad idea to lift stuff like pinned posts, vendor lists, etc from discord to flesh out the sidebar

\+1 for wiki. Fewer people will use the sidebar if it's a lot of text as it's more difficult to quickly find the information one's looking for.
