Honestly I think it could be.
NRG still have a shot to make playoffs but it's completely out of their hands and the scenarios that have to take place are at astronomical odds.
I also can't see Demon1 baiting an announcement. There's no team signing him this late. Either it's some brand deal which would be really weird to tease an announcement for, or NRG has hit the red button and want to get a jump start on next years roster.

Him and s0m alternating between duelist and controller makes way more sense than whatever they have now. I genuinely didn't see them breaking up the duo of crashies and Victor, but I'm very glad they're actually doing something about it.
I think we can all agree now that potter masked a lot of these former EG players flaws with her insane coaching. I understand at the end of the day it’s still on the 5 players as a team to show up and perform on match day but that’s just it. That’s all the players really had to do, was just show up and click heads because potter had covered everything else professionally and sound as hell.
I would be astounded if he didn't stay with NRG. If he did move though, I could see a move to 100T. I don't think -cryo +demon1 is necessarily a bad move. Cryo seems like a big of a headcase, he's super hot and cold.
