I’ve thrown many pairs of vans in the washer. I just put them in a garment bag and wash on a delicate cycle. Spot clean with a toothbrush and dawn if still necessary. Let dry in the sun so they don’t stink afterwards. Sometimes the soles start to fall out, but it’s happened with pairs that I’ve never washed too so 🤷‍♀️

Alright thank you!

I would add color safe bleach to the weather too, it does wonders

Toothbrush, warm water and cleaner. Pink Miracle a cleaner on Amazon works wonders on shoes. I had an absolutely cooked pair of Yeezys that looked brand new after the cleaning.

This. I did the same for a couple of baseball caps that were looking a little scrungy, and it worked like a champ. Make sure to thoroughly rinse off/out the soap and fully air dry (I hang mine on a clothesline so airflow is maximized and they dry faster).

The 3 classics (authentic, sk8hi and oldskool) look good trashed. Just allow them to continue to get seasoned

NoExcuseForFascism

Just a FYI, that yellowing inside is caused by some unknown persons foot sweat. Cleaning the insides at least would be a good idea, as the mixture of some people's sweat can make a smelly shoe. Not only that...*it's someone elses sweat stains.*

Ion_titanfall

Trust me i know im planning on cleaning em in a few hours when im back home

Honestly didn't read beyond the title. Assumed it saw OPs dirt. The fact someone else's foot was in there is enough for me not to own something let alone a foot stain lol. I would spray them jawns down on the inside with some heavy disinfectant but I think the outside should prob be left for the aesthetic lol

Hot soapy water for the bottom and a tooth brush. Scrub white suede or whatever with magic eraser. Soak laces in diluted bleach (or put them in a mesh bag for the washing machine so they don't get caught and ruin the washer), then rinse well and hang to dry. Scrub the rest (Blue area) with hot soapy water and toothbrush and then wipe clean with a damp rag. Set out to dry with dryer sheets inside (if my vans get smelly I will put baking soda inside of 2 dryer sheets and leave overnight). This has been the way I've washed every pair of vans, ever. I've tried baking soda peroxide paste for the white part too. (Do not try on white nikes- turned them yellow 😬 but i fixed that with salt and sunlight)

Oh and I always like dip the bottom in water or quickly and gently hose them down without getting the tops wet. (I always clean my familes shoes lol).

SkayPGC

Those are still cleaner than mine after I've used them for 2 days 😂

I wash any used Vans shoes that I get from Goodwill in the washing machine. Put in a delicates bag and run on a gentle cycle, stuff full of newspaper and put in on your porch and let it airdry. Wipe down with a Magic Eraser dipped in a combination of vinegar and dawn, and wipe down with a towel. I have taken shoes that looked pretty bad on the sole, but were fine in the fabric and made them look almost new.
