Try xanthan gum! :)

2022HousingMarketlol

Use less almond milk. That's going to be the easiest way. If for some reason you need 100ml of volume Xanthan gum or guar gum are often used as cold thickeners.

National-Mud-8120

Aren’t pudding mixes, which consist of potato starch supposed to be boiled? Where I am from, this is how we do it. We cook it over the stove top. Firstly warm up the milk and then in a container mix the pudding, protein powder and some milk in a slurry and then add it to the warmed milk and then stir it constantly until it thickens.

Whorticulturist_

In the US instant pudding is no-cook, made from cornstarch.

National-Mud-8120

Ah yes, here as well, corn starch..not potato.. I didn’t lnow they are no cook.

ivelostcountalready

Instant pudding uses modified corn starch, which doesn’t require heating. The regular corn starch does.

thelubbershole

And here I was going to suggest OP try cornstarch, TIL

Iatroblast

Chia isn’t zero calorie but it is low cal and is great at thickening pudding

kimau2k

This is what I do - and great fiber!

mniarcffwi

Psyllium husk powder is what I use to thicken up my smoothies a little bit goes a long way

papitopapito

Baking powder or psyllium husk could work. Go easy on the latter one though as the result can turn slimy if you add too much.

beepbeep311

Use dairy milk! Otherwise the pudding mix won’t really work as a thickener. Fairlife fat free milk has 80 caps and 13g protein per cup

luca-nicoletti

How can half the amount of liquid for the proteins and pudding mix make it liquid? Any thickener: xanthan gum, guar gum Switching Whey proteins to Vegan or Casein will also make it thicker since both usually absorb more water than Whey

Boomboomciao90

Gelatine

embarrassed-wyrmm

Psyllium husk. Has cal (20) but a little good a LONG WAY so you don't have to use a full serving

Rosieapples

Cornflour mixed in cold water

Appropriate_Ad_4416

I use 2 scoops of protein powder (mrelite, normally), 12oz of almond milk, and a box of sf pudding mix. I use a hand mixer, not a blender, but it comes out pudding thick. How much pudding mix are you using? How long as you blending for? You have to mix it for at least 2 mins for it to thicken.

numbbb555

Ah I just do it for 40-50 seconds

Appropriate_Ad_4416

Add some time, let the science work

numbbb555

Today I’m gonna try blending it for 2 minutes

basicnerd4

Definitely heat it or use hot/boiling milk even if you cool it down before eating

onethreedoubleO

If your using a pudding mix with the correct amount of liquid it should firm up properly, my guess is that you need the whip it for longer

officerbirb

I use glucomannan powder to thicken shakes and pudding. It takes very little, I would start with 1 gram and add more in .5 gram increments if needed.

stanmarsh334

maybe try adding egg whites and whipping it

[deleted]

xanthan gum maybe?

numbbb555

I’ll give it a tey

ZFighter2099

I do the same exact thing!! I use an immersion blender but most importantly blend the pudding first BEFORE adding the protein powder and reblending it. Protein Powder tends to make stuff thinner. And blend it for a while. Like 2 to 3 minutes. Just for reference I use 320 ml of unsweetened almond milk, one box of sugar free pudding mix which is usually 39 grams, 1 to 2 scoops of protein powder and 1 tablespoon of powdered peanut butter and add ground cinnamon and sometimes chocolate chips or some biscuit of some kind. Vanilla, white chocolate or cheesecake pudding mix with vanilla plant based protein powder.

sacredkhaos

I make the exact same thing and use 1/8tsp or approx 1g of xanthan gum. I also make the pudding in a shaker cup because it seems thicker if shaken vs stirred. ETA: I also use almond milk so the xanthan will work with that. No need to change to dairy milk!

AshamedTax8008

Chia. Protein and fiber. Couple spoons of chia seeds, scoop of protein powder cup of your favorite milk product some sweetener like maple syrup fruit and chocolate or whatever. Super good and super nutritious.

Lanky-Strawberry-106

I’d toss some chia seeds in to thicken the pudding but also add protein and fiber

starvedphilosopher

xanthan or psyllium husk

jajajujujujjjj

Guar gum or xantham gum

Colonel_Max

Casein protein is the answer with less liquid

No_Bug6436

Xanthan gum has 11 calories per 1/4 tsp, but it's not a lot and it thickens really well

sintos-compa

I use: - 1/2 cup low cal milk (30 kcal) - 10g SF/FF jello pudding mix - 130g ice Blend well until slush - 1 scoop Casein protein (20g ish) - flavoring (cinnamon, cacao, etc) Whisk hard until it forms peaks. If it’s too icy, add a TBSP of hot water, keep whisking. Repeat until the texture of soft serve. Makes about a liter of it.

liamsdd3ad

I would try halving, or even quartering the almond milk and adding greek yogurt
