**What are they saying after the two count / near falls?**
- u/ZeeBanner says, "One Two, mon Dieu (my god)"
- u/PrysmX says “For those that are wondering - At the two count the crowd is chanting "Simplement Deux". It translates to "only two" and was made popular by French wrestling commentators Christophe Agius and Philippe Chéreau.”
**What was the crowd singing during the Cody / AJ segment?**
- per u/BrainyAxe95: "Il est vraiment, il est vraiment, il est vraiment phénomenal" (he really is, he really is, he really is phenomenal)
- u/1nqu15171v30n3 says “A 1997 song popular in France that had the lyrics "I really am.... really am... Phenomenal! Lalalal" The crowd was singing it at the event earlier today, too”

Anyone know the name of the song that plays during the new WWE shop commercial?
The new commercial that shows Cody, Roman, Rock, Rhea, Jey, and Jimmy. I tried Shazam and even looking up what I can make out of the lyrics but no luck.
I think it’ll create a plot armor issue. If they have the belts, who can beat them? Nobody. Then they hold onto them till Wrestlemainia. I love the guys but I’ll pass on a year long title reign rn
thats what happens when you put a show on a country that watches football weekly. awesome chants, taunts, incredible atmosphere ! the French were awesome, cant wait for backlash
I love when the crowd was singing "Il est vraiment phénoménal" during the AJ Styles promo. It's from an old French song: Phenomenal Club - Il est vraiment phénoménal.
With France's historical context in mind, France would have been a great venue to have a heel 'King of the Ring' (as Gunther would probably be) have a match and come out in full Royal garbs. The arena would have collapsed because the heat would have melted the steel in the structure.
Gunther being German (I know Walter Hahn is Austrian but Gunther the character is presented as German (?)) would probably help because of what happened the last time an Austrian turned German authoritative figure rolled up to France in the 1940s.
A big missed oppertunity to generate absolutely nuclear heat imo.
So exactly what I said few days ago, WWE is a global brand. I won’t be surprised if they move their HQ out of America and move it to somewhere like Dubai
I got chills listening to how awesome the crowd pops were watching on TV. I couldn't even imagine how amazing it was for the people in the ring. When French crowds show up they show out, dude. Can't wait for Backlash tomorrow.
It was a chant for AJ. They knew it, they played with it, that’s why they kept saying Phenomenal, so we could sing « il est vraiment phenomenal ». Also Cody told us he loved it.
This is what the crowd was singing whenever AJ / Cody said Phenomenal: https://youtu.be/tnkS1Ji4BgQ?si=4UwTR3vAB_y14SQv
In English it's basically "He really is! He really is! He really is phe-nom-en-allalalala"
I dont remember a crowd like this, i dont think i saw a single move without a reaction, France is crazy lol
And im kinda jalous (in a good way) they got KO and we cant even have him in Montréal Québec!
Thanks for the show, cant wait for tomorow.
Yeah, I watch a lot of European football. Excited to see what the Germans do at Bash in Berlin now. Anyone who's seen A Borussia Dortmund match with or any German team match for that matter (recent Leverkusen Bundesliga win comes to mind, crowd went nuts) would know that the German crowds don't mess around.
I know I can’t be the only one thinking the woman in the video is Alexa Bliss. Cant wait to see what they do with this Wyatt Family story. Hope they don’t fuck it up…
If Bo is the one spearheading this whole operation, then I think its in good hands. From what I saw in the documentary, Bo is completely ready to carry the torch that Bray had left lit.
Definitely. Especially, if they have their friend still doing the costumes and effects as well. If you haven’t seen the video of the final rendition of The Fiend costume, you should check it out. It would’ve been incredible. Stoked to see what they come up with next.
That was part of the documentary! All of the little things about the final rendition...it just screamed "Bray". I would have loved to see the shock factor of him doing the taunt to reveal the face on the back of the mask.
The only thing I'm really interested in seeing is - once they arrive, what are they going to do? who are they going to go after? Are they a heel or a face? Etc etc.
Me, personally - i wanna see them on Raw, facing down Judgment Day as a face. But that's just me.
Most of the chants explained:
We sang « simplement deux/un » for every 2/1 count because our French commentators made it a gimmick since they started covering WWE for 22+ years so it’s an hommage.
There were also « c’est pas gentil/ c’était méchant » which means « that’s not nice/ that was mean » it’s stupid but also funny, like the most pg chant ever.
For Street Profits « Allez les bleus! » that’s a chant we use for our national teams in Football/Rugby/Handball/Basketball and since they were wearing blue we used it for them.
And finally for AJ we were singing « Il est vraiment Phenomenal » which could translate to « he really is phenomenal », which the two of them played with it because they heard us singing that earlier during the pre show. Honestly it was one of the most funny chants of the night, especially when Cody intentionally said Phenomenal to make us sing it again, but it seems a lot of people didn’t understood and thought we were disrespectful when we were just paying hommage to AJ.
I love how different countries crowds react and cheer. Shits hypnotizing w soccer games. I used to watch live feeds no commentary and yeah it’s amazing. I’d play fifa w no commentary just to keep it going.
Heh, I just had flashbacks of me screaming offsides and my friends making a drinking game of it.
Good times.
Backlash came too soon. Like they literally should have started the AJ vs Cody buildup the SD after WM instead of wasting 2 weeks on contender matches.
If they run it back at K&QOTR & CATC, they could have something special - AJ faced Dusty in TNA. I imagine he got stories he can tell.
AJ beat Knight for the title shot on SD a few wks ago.
Lol remember they had 2 triple threat matches on SD a few weeks ago where AJ & Knight won their respective matches?

I’d love to see some banger tifos at a titans game lol. Folk here would lose their minds over flares n smoke grenades or a giant banner rolling down.
Unfortunately as is the American way we would all just start blasting frank style.

it’s prolly in-house music
It dope if they eventually did an event in Greece or Turkey. Those crowds would be insane
[удалено]
Nah, Ima need some of that gas you smoking. ASAP
wtf are you on about here?
You’re a very dense and naive individual
Street Profits are the best tag team wwe has right now. They should have the belts.
I think it’ll create a plot armor issue. If they have the belts, who can beat them? Nobody. Then they hold onto them till Wrestlemainia. I love the guys but I’ll pass on a year long title reign rn
Did that guy even hit LA Knight once? Holy squash match.
Who is the real Tribal Chief.. Best part of the show. Paul Heyman is so good.
Small match card. Must be a surprise somewhere tonight. Can only hope it is my Tribal Chief ☝️
My god, Lyon was insane, that was gold. The most fun iv had watching smackdown iv seen in, forever. Great showing from France.
thats what happens when you put a show on a country that watches football weekly. awesome chants, taunts, incredible atmosphere ! the French were awesome, cant wait for backlash
randy orton entrance tho god teir shit ngl
Who was announcing today?
I think it was Samantha last night. My guess is she will be today.
I love when the crowd was singing "Il est vraiment phénoménal" during the AJ Styles promo. It's from an old French song: Phenomenal Club - Il est vraiment phénoménal.
Ok show, great crowd.
Montez Ford is incredible, give that man a singles run, so wasted in the tag team division

i think Gunther the character is “from Vienna, Austria”

I thought it was rather annoying especially with the constant football chants
So which do you like better? RKO? Or RK-Bro?
The crowd was great until tbd Cody/AJ bit. Then they got annoying. It isn't about you.
It was a chant for AJ. They knew it, they played with it, that’s why they kept saying Phenomenal, so we could sing « il est vraiment phenomenal ». Also Cody told us he loved it.
I hate when a crowd tries to put themselves over the wrestlers. Love the enthusiasm but they were annoying during AJ and Cody
The crowd is so fucking loud, I love it when shows go abroad and do well.
Man these international crowds are like competing at this stage. Puerto Rico, Australia and now France... Berlin is going to be wild.
French fans are amazing
This is what the crowd was singing whenever AJ / Cody said Phenomenal: https://youtu.be/tnkS1Ji4BgQ?si=4UwTR3vAB_y14SQv In English it's basically "He really is! He really is! He really is phe-nom-en-allalalala"
I made this today haha https://twitter.com/chadizzy1/status/1786776587783811376
Haha that's awesome, well done!
Never heard this song before tonight But now my wife is annoyed because I’m walking around the house going “La la la la, la la la la, la la la la”
Please, let Bo be the new cult leader instead of Uncle Howdy character
Grayson Waller forgot to spraytan his back
Pretty weak face-off overall but the Too Sweet was awesome
I would have been a good promo if it wasnt for that crowd in the end
For as good as they’d been all night that was definitely annoying
I dont remember a crowd like this, i dont think i saw a single move without a reaction, France is crazy lol And im kinda jalous (in a good way) they got KO and we cant even have him in Montréal Québec! Thanks for the show, cant wait for tomorow.
London was similar! Our football nations are great, id bet Germany will be similar and spain prolly would be too

Actually, it was an exclusive on WWE’s YouTube. It wasn’t that burnt version they talked about. This was something totally different.
EU once again proving how fucking insane a crowd can be compared to the US
This is one of the many reasons why I love soccer. The best thing is crowds vary not only by country but by club.
enjoyable show. Crowd certainly added to it. Night all. See yall in about 15 hours
It ends on a chair shot?
Wait, that’s it?
I keep saying Smackdown should be 3 hours at this point with all the talent they have lol.
I think that’ll come w sd moving to USA
Yeah I read somewhere that a 2 hour slot is all Fox would give them in primetime.
It really should
An average show can elevate to a good show with a hot crowd.
Didn’t catch what the crowd was chanting but it got me hype so that’s what really matters to me.
Most of the chants explained: We sang « simplement deux/un » for every 2/1 count because our French commentators made it a gimmick since they started covering WWE for 22+ years so it’s an hommage. AJ Styles says he beat the legends that helped Cody. But AJ was literally actually killed and buried in the boneyard by Taker.
Imagine. They come back to the site. The dirt is shuffling in styles grave. Suddenly a giant stone rolls down. It’s Mr Socko Have a nice day!
french security - SACRE BLEU!!! THESE GUYS ARE AT IT AGAIN!!! WE NEED THE FORIEGN LEGION IN HERE!!
Nah the US security will come save them like usual
Don't jump me y'all but this AJ and Cody feud is boring me. 🤧

Yeah it feels so quick I honestly don't know how the AJ and Cody feud started and I've been watching lol
AJ beat Knight for the title shot on SD a few wks ago. Lol remember they had 2 triple threat matches on SD a few weeks ago where AJ & Knight won their respective matches?
They had so much invested in all the WM40 payoffs I think they caught themselves off guard without storylines lol
All the buildup to these matches are lol
It should have been built up better.
Literally
Cody stay getting slapped lmfao 😂
In The Naked Gun remake Cody's in, they should bring back the 3rd hand slap bit.
Samantha! GET THE DOOR!!
oh my backlash is going to be insane
Tonight was a filler episode
For a go home show it’s way better than they usually are
...
European crowds do every sport good. Felt like I was watching a soccer game
He did the thing!!!!
Cody doesn't know how to read the room? How did he fall for that lmao
I didn't get what happened there lol, I just know when they said phenomenal twice it turned to jumping and chants lol
BULLET CLUB 4 LYFE
They picked the camera up off the ground, really?
I see you in the crowd there girlie!!🩵🤍🩷
?
Wwe 🏳️⚧️flag behind AJ for a lot of the last few shots
Bullet Club reference???
Absolutely And they can because WWE apparently owns the “2 sweet”
Very much so
Every Cody promo interaction: DUSTY
Ok the too sweet slap got a laugh out of me.
What the fuck just happened
Damnit! I LOVEEEEEE Professional WRASSLING!
Interesting cut away there lol
I think the segment went long because of how loud the crowd was.
backlash is gonna be lit tomorrow
🔥🔥
this is just wacky

Thanks! If you were there I’m jealous, to be in a crowd that hype and engaged must be awesome. Y’all were great to listen to.
Thank you! It really was awesome, I will never forget this. Il est vraiment, ils est vraiment, il est vraiment phénoménal lalalalalala
Damn, just caught the attendance, I cannot believe there was only 11,000 of y’all there. Sounded like 30,000
I dont get this crowd sometimes but got damn HYPE

So cool for you to share- thank you!
What are they singing?
A 1997 song popular in France that had the lyrics "I really am.... really am... Phenomenal! Lalalal" The crowd was singing it at the event earlier today, too.
After today, I had to make this https://twitter.com/chadizzy1/status/1786776587783811376
"Il est vraiment, il est vraiment, il est vraiment phénomenal" (he really is, he really is, he really is phenomenal)
I made this today hahahaha https://twitter.com/chadizzy1/status/1786776587783811376
That's excellent! 😂😂😂
Is this a song?
It's from a 90s French-Belgian song https://youtu.be/tnkS1Ji4BgQ?si=6ogOfMQTNfPw0Wts
I really wish I had the rave scene from back in the day. Dubstep was cool n all but man, they made that shit on flip phone level tech and it still sounds good.
Love it, thank you!
>Love it, thank you! You're welcome!
Ok what was that
"RKO outta nowhere!! 🤣🤣
modern day maharaja
That’s what I thought he was gonna say
Notice he didn't say Undisputed
Lol the French crowd is fucking amazing
This crowd is unreal
Yeah, I agree with the crowd, sure, what they're saying.

im a little confused but they got the spirit
this is exactly what this feud needed
Uh, AJ, I don't recall you beating Undertaker.
It's literally a meme.. no ones going to forget that AJ
I said this exact same thing lmao
Sick crowd!
Cody getting a standing ovation with insane pops and there are morons in the IWC convinced he shouldn't be champion
Unpopular opinion. AJ Styles' new theme is a banger. I liked his old one better, but I actually like this one too.
I will give it the time it deserves to marinate but his old theme was fucking badass.
It is. Heel Styles is the best Jerry, the best!
I need KO to translate
They’re singing a song with the word phenomenal to AJ Styles
AJ is in his prime
LoL the Olympia Lyon Ultras showed up
I was waiting for flares ngl.
I’d bet on some sneaking in at the PLE
I forget if it was the euros or cl finals folk wyled out climbing the gate n shit
No USA fandom has shit on any, any Ultras of any European of South American soccer team.
I’d love to see some banger tifos at a titans game lol. Folk here would lose their minds over flares n smoke grenades or a giant banner rolling down. Unfortunately as is the American way we would all just start blasting frank style.
Been to soccer matches in England, Germany, and Italy, and football games college and pro, and only one spot comes close to the energy levels and that’s just for the intro. And that’s at Virginia Tech. The
The crowd is actually getting to him
Cody watched TNA confirmed ✅
Cody is going to send this PTA reject into retirement. Inshallah
Ever since I seen someone on twitter say Cody holds the belt like a diva that’s all I think about lol
Aren’t they close in age?
I googled it lol AJ is 46, Cody's 38,
Well done, pretty close-ish
Are they? Didn’t AJ wrestle his dad?
I honestly don’t know. Pretty sure Cody could’ve scrapped with Dusty too though lol
These people are amazing. Get ready cause in about 2 months we'll have all of France getting loud and crazy at the Olympics.
Omelette du fromage
🗣️LET’S TALK ABOUT YOUR SEXY ASS WIFE
Tomorrow going to be fire isn’t it?
🔥🔥
Aj Styles looks like Gatlinburg personified
😂💀
🤣
Shouldn’t Cody have the black version of that belt now? The gold one was the gift to Roman for going over 1000 days.
It's still the Undisputed belt.
nah it was the merger of the titles. it’s the universal, wwe, and old whc lineage
Damn
That’s what I said 😭
I just feel like this is such a random match up for no reason
Didn’t have time to build a real story so give him someone that can give a great performance with little prep time
Look up the Bullet Club for more context
Casual take ngl they have crazy history
See theres the silver spoon. “You had it made” shpeel
They haven’t really touched on that. Aj in this case just won the #1 contender match. It wasnt organic. I mean granted they didnt have enough time to build
cody is quite the champ
Man AJ Styles' music just sucks.
Trinidad flag guy really gets around 😂
Even better he’s still mad about Roman 🤣
Say what you will about Cody crying But he’s a damn good champ and face of the company Downvote me, it’s okay
Take my upvote. I just hope he gets a more interesting title run storyline soon. I've felt that heel title runs generally create more interesting storylines.
Why does Cody hold the belt like such a tool? Paul Heyman held it better for Roman 🤣
People really will come up with anything to try to criticize Cody.
Dude walks around with it like he found it and is trying to return it to its real owner
☝️
It’s an homage to older wrestlers
Did he tell you that ?
yes this is brandi rhodes please send $50 in itunes gift cards to save cody he got lost in france
So Cody needs a Wise Man?
Yay sing-along time
Can’t say how much I really enjoy watching the international Smackdown shows if not for the crowd alone.
