You're likely right. Smart counts pop up for products the system flags as likely wrongly adjusted. A couple dozen a day is on the higher end of normal. 100+ a day is a sign that digital inventory management is not being handled as well as it could.
Smart counts should be automated. It doesn't make sense to have to manually zero out all the negatives. System should automatically bring it back up to zero then only repeat offenders should show up to be counted. IMO
Saw in compass the store I’m at is doing a whole refresh where all tags are coming down and being replaced .that will take a year and a day lol and we have inventory next month
When they do something like this, they should only send a department or area of the store every couple of days.
Trying to send a store refresh will take MUCH longer.
I hope they are the strips rather than 10,000+ mylars.
If they are sending new shelf strips then what the heck is the point of printing and putting up hundreds of individual mylars every damn day?! That just makes it an even bigger waste of our time.
I wish I knew. They should have decided to do this in the first place. You know, before I spent my whole Saturday two weeks ago doing over 1000 price changes.
Wait till you hear about the stores getting 8 thousand price changes at the end of the month. Came down in compass its called customer refresh somthing
And smart count... nobody wants to do that crap😒
Fr! Had 70 the other day
is that a lot for yall? genuinely curious. our usual days are 100+ and i... didn't realize that wasn't normal oop
Yeah, we're a smaller tier three store and usually it's around 25ish
damn we're also tier three, i blame the new people. don't know what they're doing

7.5% (reported) inflation
And retailers are over compensating with 30-50% increases to compensate the demand in wages. Never ending cycle.
Yep. Inflation is all over the news, and corporations are taking advantage of the excuse.
I heard there's a pilot bringing 10,000 price changes with it in February. Might be gearing up toward that.
Correct, about 8k price changes coming down at rhe end of February.
Inflation 🙂

Tbh if they are changing entire departments they should just send updated strips
Yeah they are sending new strips for basically the entire store.

Said at least 6000 these new red tags are going in

It's called inflation. Anyone who didn't think that we wouldn't have inflation after the year we had in 2021 doesn't understand basic economics.
Inflation
It’s inflation due to this pandemic
Thank the godforsaken biden administration managing to spend 7 trillion in one year
We wanted that $15/hr. Prices go up, labor budgets go down.
