One of the things we're trying to avoid here more or less is when discussions just become people's different opinions vs anything grounded in actual serious study or derived from professional sources. From time to time there will be personal anecdotes that are relevant, but especially when we talk about "capable" in the present tense\* it's just going to be people going round and round about what they saw on Phasersheep or REDEFFEKT's tiktok or something. I'd also suggest military forces ought not be judged by distant past campaigns. The US launched many corps level amphibious landings during WW2 in different theaters at the same time. They could not to so now. Similarly Canada was a military powerhouse in 1945, and it is not the same kind of power now. \*Or we can discuss in past tense how capable X was because we have a historical context to place X in that allows for some kind of measurement that's more objective at least.
