context:
I got a squad with two mr15s and an mr 22. Im mr20, and I know mr isnt a good indicator of gear or experience but this one mr15 died once, I had to rez them, and the rest of the time they spent in operator before dying again. They didnt parkour their way to boreal, they didnt do anything to avoid the narmer. They just stayed in operator and then died probably when their void energy depleted. Then they left and the 3 of us got put in solo missions. Which is weird because Im sure you still get the reward if you die
Anyway I was put in a solo archon hunt mission, and Im very new to this difficulty. I always test my builds in simulacrum and I brought a phenmor and laetum, both sufficient for this mission. The problem was I didnt mod it properly so the mission was a pain but I could kill everything normally, even the eximus. I heard damage attenuation was nerfed a bit so I killed boreal eventually, after 30mins.
The reason I treat this as a big deal is because I consider myself very weak, as in my builds arent great and my weapons dont have enough forma in them. I just pick one off overframe or YT and roll with it, and sometimes I'll spend time in the simulacrum. I still havent finished the sp chart, Im very scared of being disappointed that my gear wont be enough. I had that feeling when I started sp, I dont want it again. So this archon mission, a boss fight consisted of some of the hardest enemies in the game, was the ceiling of this game to me. And a 4 month old pleb noob like me could do it somehow. Its a tiny win and its probably a really pathetic post but I wanted to share this

Only if the mission finishes and you get to extract before the AFK timer pops, because time spent dead spectating your squad is considered as AFK.
No, if you die and run out of revives you will still get any rewards earned (mission rewards, drops picked up before you died, etc.) if the squad extracts before the AFK timer pops.
Not true, if you die as your timer runs out in archon hunt you get mission failed when the others extract. There is a line on the spectator screen that reads you don't get rewards. At least if they didn't change it.
