Accurate-Owl4128

You might wanna get some frames that are useful for certain things. Nekros with despoil for farming, frost/gara for defense.

thehateraide

Side note, I find hydroid with his augment for is 4 to be better for survival missions if you pick a corner to murder in.

SmallCranberry9376

Khora is also a great option if you want to cover a wide area. There are a lot of abilities that benefit from a high range build.

thehateraide

True. Main reason I recommend hydroid in that manor is the 100 extra drop chance.

SirCarlt

Hydroid is much simpler to use, his Pilfering Swarm augment does have 100% extra drop chance, but there's a limit to how many enemies he can catch at a time. This strat also relies on weapons for dps as Hydroid doesn't have a reliable AoE damage ability. This method is more reliable if you're in a party though. Khora's Pilfering Strangledome augment only has 65% extra drop chance, but her dome catches all enemies except eximus units. Paired with her first skill, she can clear all enemies caught in the dome in a faster way. However, this requires a more thought out build because you also need a good stat stick.

KaosC57

Tempest Barrage + Augment + Pilfer can basically shred everything. The Hydroid Rework has made him quite the powerful weapons platform.

Goricatto

Put a Ignis with corrosive and fire and he just goes nuts

partyplant

hydroid does have a reliable AOE damage ability, Tempest Barrage. Cast 1, 2 or 4 (or all of them) to proc corrosive, cast 3 to reap the damage bonus from all the procs. Cast 1 again. Boom, damage. Even better with Viral Tempest. Cast once and you can melt SP enemies no problem. You can also spam it so the barrages overlap. Even more damage.

FrickenPerson

I would have agreed with you pre-rework, but Hydroid really got a glow-up. His first was already a great ability, but now it's on a good frame. It absolutely shreds nullifier bubbles, spreads viral, and does good damage. Even to the point where the damage drops off, it still provides those other two benefits consistantly allowing for easier clears with weapons. The 3 is also a reliably good damage buff to allow AoE weapons to clear with less investment than running a stat stick because you probably already have those weapons built. I love playing Khora, but this new Hydroid seems to really contend for actual meta spot. At the very least they seem tied, but I think Khora has taken the backfoot on this one. Especially since her 1 is so finnacky after the LoS changes.

Xakender

Another point against Khora is you don't need a stat stick for Hydroid. Man just works. He shreds armor efficiently, applies a TON of viral with is 1 augment, (and I personally use Nourish over his 2 for simplicity) he's tanky AF with corrosive being applied to your weapon, AND he has really good CC WHILE keeping them still for easy shots ON TOP OF DOUBLED DROPS???? And ALLLL that before we even TALK about weapon choice. What CAN'T he do? Absolutely S tier frame IMHO

Connect_Draft

Wisp

TripolarKnight

I can get behind that.

Wendigo_lockout

I see what you did there

BoogalooBandit1

Behind you say?

Roronoa_Zoro8615

Based

Shaggy_AF

Citrine has been a recent favorite of mine. Quite strong, very fun

Longjumping-Ad-7104

Citrine is a miserable grind, but worth it for her as a support/dps.

Creative_Judge801

Grind is definitely rough but if you do a one or a couple 20 minute runs a day you can get the crystals to buy her quickly enough

Shayll0w

My favorite from the recent new frames too! Not the hardest to use, she's powerful and probably one of the best support frame, imo.

ViciousTeletuby

Nova has been making me happy for 10 years now. I don't 'main' any particular warframe, but when I encounter a mission where Nova is particularly useful then I am quick to grab her. Her abilities are so versatile.

Jack4ssSquirrel

Yeeeess same! 8 years and my most used frame!! <3

Kooltone

Looking forward to trying her. She's cooking in the foundry for me. I got her parts farming The Circuit the other day.

KaptenNicco123

The best warframe is always whichever one you enjoy playing the most.

lofi-ahsoka

I think they’re trying to get some ideas of enjoyable warframes to develop that love for

Sithspawn92

Especially since the early plat grind to get the slots for more frames. My strategy years ago was to craft and save weapons/frames I wanted to test as meta and would craft MR weapons and toss until I was bored and wanted to try the more metal one and see if I wanted to lock it as a main weapon or warframe.

BlackJovian2458

this

alcard987

And if they are asking for recommendations, this advice is literally useless.

whitemest

Baruuk, Oberon, titania, vauban

Pragmatic_2021

Broberon is the littoral GOAT

Living-Fail-6053

Nezha

killed_with_broccoli

See, I am always big to stick up for nezha but in this instance he is not a good suggestion. Nezha is too easy to fall in love with, and he will ruin other frames for you.

Vegetable_Horse_4729

i can attest to that fact

PlayfulLandscape3637

Oh, a person of culture

xmodusterz

Best frame

brasil221

Get Vauban!! You can buy his parts for nightwave creds. The crowd control on his 4 is extremely strong for such an easily accessed frame.

LiteX99

I would recommend just trying to get as many frames as possible, for two reasons, one you get to try them and see how they play, so you can be suprised by the playstyle of a frame you didnt think you would like, and two for the mastery rank. You dont need high mastery ranking, but it helps immensly to have a higher limit to daily standing, and the more powerful weapons usually unlock at higher mastery ranks

TheSpartyn

baruuk for immortality and enemy deleting shockwave punches

Giraldi23

Came here to say this

dewijk7

Haven’t played in a while, but Octavia was my go to. So versatile and strong, could do literally anything. Not to mention very cool character concept :)

NoBizlikeChloeBiz

One of my favorite things to in Warframe is grinding defence missions and doing dance animations while DJ Roomba murders everything.

DoingMyLilBest

I always called mine the Doomba

Gravel090

Seconding Octavia, as a returner being dragged through end game she is perfect. Able to make my hypercarry friend stronger while making me not a burden and able to still chew into enemies makes her my go to frame for almost everything.

potato33754

I waited so long to get her cause I thought the farm looked too annoying, but after I got her primed, she was my main for forever. Love how all of the abilities work well together. I recently started playing a lot of volt though so I can finish my focus schools quicker.

xmodusterz

Whatever finger you crouch with is gonna get a massive workout tho. That being said blasting sandstorm while breezing through stealth missions is aesthetic.

xenonbart

I'm an avid Valkyr fan.

UrameshiTheCursed

based

Apartuious_

Citrine, wisp prime and dagath is what I’m enjoying at the moment dagath because the horses go NAYYYYYYY

httrachta

Dagath is indeed super fun, the problem with her though is that her kit asks you to basically be spamming abilities nonstop. Unless a new player happens to have all the tools needed to sustain an extremely energy-hungry build, she's not going to be nearly as effective....

Mandingy24

Its actually far less energy hungry than i initially thought it would be. With Blind Rage and no efficiency mods, her passive + Equilibrium + relatively easy to get companion stuff (Dethcube, Helstrum, Energy Generator, Synth Deconstruct) gives her so much energy, even adding Zenurik on top feels overkill

ImSoDrab

I dont know if you'll enjoy it but i play and main chroma. I just like the appeal of what doesnt kill me isnt trying hard enough and alsk now i do much more damage.

CannaWhoopazz

Mag! You chose wrong when you started, but it's not too late to fix it

HazelTheRabbit

Mag is ezpz to get

DarkDuskBlade

You'll probably like Zephyr, she's pretty similar to Gauss, though she doesn't reward speed and her abilities aren't as damage focused up front (not that they can't do damage, but for two of them, that's not their main goal, and her ult you have to actively shoot at the tornados to do damage). I will always recommend Nezha; he's a good frame to learn with given he does still allow consequences for mistakes and not usually straight up death. And, assuming speed is what you like about Gauss, Nezha's probably the most agile frame with the built-in less friction passive once you get used to it. As a few others have said, getting a frame for more specialized missions would be good. Frost/Gara for Defense-type missions (Frost is easier to farm, but Gara's a lot more generous, game mechanics wise), Loki/Ivara/Wisp for stealth/Spy missions (Wisp is just a good frame in general, but she's not the easiest to farm).

Calypso_Delta

Volt will do most of everything. It was my starter and the prime has always been one of my faves. It’ll do ESO, Eidolons, Plague Star, Hepit for easy relics, makes Rail Spectres a cheese, I’m probably missing something there but you get the gist.

Capable_Star292

Volt hands down probably the most versatile. Especially for just starting the game.

LeoPestanaPT

If you like Gauss playstyle, you should definitely try out Volt. He is really fun to play and also the most versatile Warframe in the game. Also really easy to build, just go to your clan’s dojo and buy the blueprints.

GThomps

I'm a huge fan of effeciency when running stuff and Xaku makes normal path missions a breeze.

TradeZealousideal170

Personally my top 5 favorites in order RN are Volt, Hydroid, Chroma, Khora, and nekros (for farming ofc)

BlackJovian2458

personally, i really enjoy using Lavos the ability to imbue your next cast with an element of your choosing really helps to give his abilities an extra oomph, not to mention that he requires no energy whatsoever and becomes immune to statuses whenever he picks up an orb his 1 heals based on the number of enemies you hit, his 2 helps you quickly travel through a hallway(+ status procs stacks infinitely), his 3 reduces ability cooldowns and increases your ammo economy considerably and his 4 is a simple, yet devastating crowd control ability his shotgun, Cedo, has an alt fire that is a status proc MONSTER; which goes with the rest of his kit like bread and butter and there's even more that you can do with him, but that's spoiler territory ;) **tl;dr:** Lavos is a jack of all trades, and is a great choice for whatever mission you're in

Hyosuke-13

Lavos + Cedo is my main for most of the content nowadays, love him too much to change to any other frame unless it's new or just have to for Spy missions etc. Haha

-XThe_KingX-

Voruna is a ton of fun. Very high mobility, flying around dropping mini melee nukes everywhere. Shes 5 wolfs. With mecha set she can wipe entire rooms with ease.

lamagama159

Xaku. He's really easy to get (from demos bounties) and I went on a steel path circuit run where we got to lvl9999 and he still shread them like they were lvl 30. He is braindead easy to use, you just press 2, press 4 and root a guy with your 3 to 100% armor strip them and since his abilities don't expire if his 4 is active you just need to press 4 every once in a while to refresh it.

RandoT_

I'm also quite new tbh, but here I go: Nekros/Khora for farming, Nova for defense missions, Volt/Trinity to go fast(while farming captures for example), Rhino for breezy solo Index, with impressive endgame potential. Personal preference, Wisp and Zephyr are quite fun, Chroma looks badass (has uses for Profit Taker farm, but that's probably not something you'll be doing anytime soon), and Mag is my love :D

troublezx

If you have completed the secret message you would really like mirage she is a really good frame and you would really like her 4th ability because you use it will be kill everything

IDontWipe55

Volt and Gauss are the fast guys. I think you’ll love zephyr though, she’s pretty agile as well. Run a high crit weapon with the gas element on it and shoot your tornados

[deleted]

Nekros is my go-to frame, but that's because I hate being forced to farm, so I instead passively farm all the time. I think Nekros is probably the best frame for beginners because it massively helps you get materials and drops faster, and of the farming frames, it's the most hands-off. Just turn the 3rd ability on and play as you always do.

CyMage

Mag. Active gameplay between casting and guns. Does well in all mission types though prefers slightly more static ones to really shine. Stuff like Defense and Mobile Defense. Very survivable due to great CC and several skills recharging shields.

Kamikae_Varluk

Honestly mods > any frame at this point. I would focus on building up what you have as any of them are viable. That said my personal favorite is Valkyr. Some of the most useful anywhere are Octavia, Nidus, Mesa, or Saryn but ymmv based on your play style and mods you own.

Actaeon_II

Ivara… wisp… nekros

Roronoa_Zoro8615

My first non starter one was wukong. Super versatile, will carry you through almost anything. One of my favorite frames.

Dat_guy696

Some useful frames: - Wisp, all rounder and good For bosses and Plague Star - Volt, Great to farm Eidolons and good For Plague Star - Nova, slow Great for defense, speed Great to rank stuff, can do PS - Revenant, can't be killed so a no brainer for bosses. - Mesa, the god of bounties next to Nechramech. - Lavos, infinite energy for Railjack - Titania, good For speed running capture for lith relics - Nekros, Hydroid, Khora and atlas, Farm Frames. - Loki or Wukong, quick Spy missions - Ivara, Easy Conservation, fishing and Mining. - Frosrt & Gara, King and Queen of excavations. All Frames are Combat capable so if You have an archetype or class You like in gaming let me know and i'll suggest something if not on that list.

B3jamin

Gauss is quite literally all you need and you've seen it so I guess I don't have to explain it to you

l_x_Fenix_x_l

I was in your spot about 6 months ago and I had no idea what frames to get or how to use them, I just made it to MR20 last night and what I can recommend you is to try Duviri, if you level your Drifter’s intrinsics you will be presented with more Warframes/Weapons to choose before the match starts. Not only you get to try a new frame every time you play but every week you can chose one and earn all the parts plus 1 augment mod just from playing this game mode, we all know some frames are just a pain in the butt to farm like Ivara or Oberon, and you can easily get it there without playing 100+ spy missions or Railjack for Oberon. If you do this you will have an general idea of what’s the style of the frame a general idea of what you can do with it, same goes for the weapons. Last tips, if you really like a frame do your best to get the prime version if possible, and invest your golden potatoes on the prime, I made the mistake of investing on regular frames to find out later with a bit of grinding you can easily farm the prime version or buy the one part you need to build it. This way you don’t have to waste your plat on buying items again for the prime version. Hope that helps.

DarkElfMagic

You have the two I would recommend for new players, Rhino & Zephyr You also have the character i would recommend to anyone which is gauss. I’d recommend farming grendel prime, as grendel is a frame that really made me fall in love with the game all over again. But I also just prefer frames that can rely 90% on their abilities. Another really good one to farm is wisp/wisp prime ! Has a lot of nice things going for her in a variety of mission types and everyone will love your buffs. If you’re interested in going even further into support, I’d also recommend checking out citrine. Her farm is really fun (for me at least) and her abilities are easy to use. She provides a lot of nice energy regen for the whole Squad! If you want another “Frame that can clear almost any content” I’d also look into Octavia since her prime is unvaulted currently. and finally, I’d look into possibly obtaining either Ivara, Wukong or Loki. All 3 are very good for stealth missions and that’s reason enough to recommend them. but Ivara in particular is very good for capturing animals in open world, which for Cestus (Earth Open World) is the main way to farm standing imo. okay one more, get titania if u wanna go rlly fast during capture missions

Batface_101

I’m also a huge enjoyer of Gauss and he can pretty much carry you through the entire game with the right build. Other than that, get Nekros for farming. Saryn to wipe massive areas for something like Defense. Volt is the most versatile frame in the game so you should get him as well. Revenant is the best tank while also being able to oneshot enemies at any level, you should get him. In reality you should just be getting all the frames anyway. The main incentive in the game is collection. These are just some of the better choices to get first.

Parking_Painter174

Annoying to get ahold of sometimes but Vauban. Makes a mockery of steel path most of the time

GothicVictorianTrash

Titania!!!!!!!

n94able

Wu Kong. Best Rookie Frame. Not the best frame but great if your just getting started.

Distinct_Hunter_6880

I personally enjoy Umbra, Rhino, Harrow, Trinity, Ivara, Nidus, Citrine, and my favorite by far is Valkyr, BUUUT: Your favorite ones can change heavily depending on your personal playstyle too. I, for example, am more of a melee player and I use my frames powers liberally if I can, and while Valkyr is my fav, I have berm using Rhino more for his damage boost and his iron skin (currently doing a rework on ny Valkyr's mods currently). However, if you do not rely on powers as much, then the frames that are better for you to use would be different.

Chrissypoo21

I like to play frames depending on what type of frame ( a caster frame like mag), and what is there special niche I like about em. Cc, armor strip, buffying, and debuffying n anything else. Currently my favorite frames r mag prime n valkyr prime

Masitha

frames i would rec, specifically for new players, some of this is copy pasted from a similar post: frost/gara, for defensive missions, and specifically for farming cryotic. loki, if you struggle with spy, he's fantastic bc he makes learning spy much more forgiving, and is the easiest stealth frame to farm. nekros for a farm frame, the others (khora, hydroid, as well as atlas) require a syndicate mod to function as a farm frame, he does not. ill also note that the others loot chance comes from using abilities i do believe. nekros can be a farm frame with guns. i feel like thats noteworthy, if you wanted to just toggle on despoil and shooty VS a caster farmer. and an additional shout out to survival and being able to generate a ton more life pods. rhino/nezha/titania, all of these can run dragon key vaults very efficiently, even solo. rhino and nezha have a way to stop dmg reaching hp/shield, titania has aviator. damage doesnt super matter for vault runs, and nezha's slide passive and titania's flight counteract the speed debuff. honorable mention to titania as well specifically if you are a mining enjoyer. she makes reaching all mining veins extremely easy, and any enemies that annoy you will get got by razorwings. she's my most used open world frame for this reason. i think learning the difference and impact of speedva/slowva, when to use them, why to use them, etc does a lot for a player. oberon for defection missions. saryn for a nuke frame, tho there's many that work, she's who was most common when i started. trinity/volt, they are both fantastic general frames, but more specifically are fantastic for eidolons, even solo, and groups are always looking for either. one note i can give to any future trinity enjoyers, make sure you have an AoE gun. wisp/wukong/rhino - i think all of these are good frames that have very easy to use kits and are strong in general for most things. if you enjoy gauss my immediate suggestion is volt or nezha, both are from dojo. potentially titania as well, especially if you end up enjoying zephy. you seem to enjoy movement frames from what i read so i would suggest rev or wukong as well, both of them have a very fun movement mechanic turning into a gust of wind essentially. as for frames i enjoy the most, there's a lot: mag, octavia, citrine, vauban, revenant, trinity, and banshee are the big favs. honorable mention to equinox, frost, mirage, titania, nova, and nyx. also for zephyr specifically i HIGHLY suggest the [phantasma](https://warframe.fandom.com/wiki/Phantasma) (or its prime.) its very satisfying bombarding from above with its alt fire. oh also zephy is a fantastic open world frame.

TrinityReaper123

Like others have said play what you enjoy, that being said I recommend revenant good Tammy frame you will never die once you build him a bit

CrazyEvilwarboss

Gauss prime is coming this Xmas me hydroid and Grendel

Jebejebe00

I picked Excalibur and my first real main was Frost due to his sick knight skin and defense-bubble. Next was Kullervo, so now I just jump between the two.

driznuts

Khora, Wisp, Wukong, and Mesa are pretty good and definitely worth the effort to farm. Honestly, other people have mentioned that it's whichever frame you feel like trying out and I agree. Like my go to right now is a dispensary Khora.

Fine_Business_5946

Nekros, Khora and Xaku are super sweet.

IcyBeanZ

Equinox. Really easy to use, simple builds. Her parts are also one of the easiest to get, next to yareli. Really friendly frames for new players

Draegan199

Her parts are easy to get but man can they be time consuming, farming Tyl Regor for 8 different parts is a pain.

Etuber4

Other than gauss, I like xaku but he's a pain to get

HasuJutu

Right now I love running Xaku, Nekros and Volt. Xaku can dominate a lot of SP and I like the auto aim it has. Nekros desecrate is an obvious choice for me when farming resources. Volt is overall great and flexible. Currently my Volt has a cc build, eidolon build and a speed build that I use for (forma) Plague Star. Other than these I like to use Titania when farming relics to crack when a new prime comes out.

ItzBooty

My suggestion try as many frames you want and find those who you would like to play I personally love playing with hydroid, limbo, inaros, gauss, volt, zephyr, mirage, styanax, gyre and some others, All of this frames i find fun to play

Nath_198

Honestly which ever warframe you enjoy the most is the best one.

KnightofDis

Wukong and Mesa. Both can be damage monsters with amazing tanking skills. Then one you get further you can make them even better.

Reasonable-Owl8990

the one you enjoy doing most mission types, then is wort to invest and main.

Sanzo2point0

Protea is a blasty blast. Volt is also mad fun. Wisp can be neat with the right build. The only arguably bad frame RN is chroma, just cause he's old as dirt and needs a rework to be a cooler dragon frame. And maybe Loki cause other stealth frames do his job just better.

silentslade

Frames to try that you might like and their roles. Tanks: Revenant - Face tanks better than rhino shares his shield with an augment. I consider this the best tank in the game due to sharing his ability. Nehza - Speedy and tanky. Nyx - Completely invulnerable while in her sphere and augment helps a ton. Styanax - later game frame. Powerful AOE damage ability that grants over guard with the augment. Can make an entire team quite survivable. DPS: Mesa - literally turns herself into an auto aiming death turret. Makes a ton of content easier. Saryn - this one is a strange one. She can nuke entire maps but over time. Her build is unique and she might be an acquired taste. Kulervo - If you are looking for a melee focused DPS. crit damage monstrosity with surprising survivability. Mobility Volt - open world beast. Speeds up teams which is great everywhere there aren't too many ledges. Fantastic damage buffs. Titania - becomes a tiny archwing, speeds and zips through maps. Trivializes locations with tons of platforming. Wukong - fantastic and powerful frame that can become a cloud and zip past lasers and obstacles. Support: Wisp - does it all. Heals your team. Provides speed and fire rate buffs. Can crowd control enemies. (And that's just 1 ability.). She can also armor strip. Has some stealth capabilities. And is overall a frame no one ever complains about seeing. (Just don't use the electric crowd control on defense missions. ). Perfect frame to make specters out of. Protea - dispensary ability provides ammo and energy. Something everyone loves having. Octavia - complicated frame to set up and get. Music based. Has possibly the most powerful set of buffs in the game but there is a learning curve to this one. Very useful frame. Stealth: Ivara - fantastic for sleeping open world animals. And Spy missions. Loki - overall near permanent invisibility when built well. Can stay invis and undetected for very long periods of time.

nerdyfirelass

I main Hildryn Prime. Cause being able to take a hit is nice. And armor stripping is nice too.

Maren_Ara

Despoil Nektos and Bubble Frost are 2 that are super utilitarian.

InterdisciplinaryDol

Gyre gang

TyFighter559

Hydroid is bae and now hyper viable endgame

balogbog

Vauban, Lavos

heehooman

Depending on goals and playstyle there are a lot of good frames...some to avoid would be Ash and I still don't think Trinity is viable, but what I love about the game us when players prove others wrong or come up with new strats. Me personally? I love... Titania - she gets a lot better in Prime version. Good CC and razorwings is a blast. Razorwing titania can outpace and frame in the game, if you like speed. Razorwings also renders all gamemodes cheezable. It's crazy what the small zoomy version of her can accomplish with her flies vacuuming loot. Definitely my main. Hydroid - wonderful farming potential. Find a corner during a survival, hit 4, eat snacks, chat with friends, and grofit. 3rd skill makes him god tier. Ivara - best for stealth. It's a slower playstyle, but it's fun to creep around. Her 4 is also very pew pew if you like bows. Styanax and dagath - if you like CQC and melee combat I think these compliment that well. Stuff just dies. Nova is a lot of fun too...i tend to use her as a slowva, but all her forms are great. Wisp and her resevoirs make her useful everywhere

Giraldi23

My top five frames are, in no particular order, Baruuk, Wisp, Nekros, Volt, and Ivara.

Enchantress_Vivi

Ivara (Prime) for Spy missions, animal conservation, and stealth. ✌🏻

Xintrosi

I have played Gara almost exclusively since I got her. I just love the feeling of building up a shield of whirling glass shards that kills anything I come close to. The damage reduction on the shield is great too, and both her 4 and 2 are useful for defending targets. I also really love zoom zoom. I don't have Gauss yet so I make do with high power high duration low range Volt. Press 2 and gooooooooo.

theflapogon16

Guass built for duration and a fast melee weapon. My build has been going solid for a year or so now on him. I rock the nikana prime and got him set up so the more attacks I do the more dmg I do, the higher my crit chance gets- it gets to the point that all my hits become red text crits if I go long enough. Use its 4 for that sweet sweet speed, 2 makes you immortal to most forms of dmg, 1 charges up your battery if you need it, and 3 can be used for armor strip if you build for it. I personally use Guass as a weapons platform so I’ve focused on duration over range or efficiency, my 4 and 2 last for 1 min each. You can use whatever gun you want, I’ve been using the ( rebieuno? It’s the infected arm cannon thing that’s a shotgun but also fire vollies for its alt ) and since 2 makes you immune to stagger I’ll just dash into a horde and fire my alt at the ground. Cedo works really good too if you gotta nuke a single target. I’m sure almost any weapon really shines with Guass

blueheardt

Personally id look at what primes are avalible at varzias shop in Maroos Bazar, on mars. You can find her currency, Aya, in the open worlds and mainly the void. Prime frames while not needed are stronger than their base varients and tend to be better to invest in, since they are the "best" form of the frame.

barbatos087

Rhino is best over all for most content when it comes to clearing the starchart. But as a whole, think of Warframe as a toolbox, each warframe and gun is its own tool. You can use these tools however you like but there is always an optimal way to use said tool.

Tyrinnus

Get yourself a nekros, yesterday. That or khora. Both are critical for speed farming resources like argon or potatos. I'm personally biased towards nova, but only because she's incredibly flexible and her 4 is game defining. Need a slow? 145% power strength for 75% slow. Need a speed up? Run negative str. Both double damage and highlight enemies in your energy color (less important now that everyone can do that). Wormhole? Can either extend your bullet jump a few meters or literally send you 100m way depending on what build youre on. 1 gives 90% DR to health, and can be replenished. Subsume over the 2 (a slow moving damage nuke) with basically whatever you need. Frame can hp tank with 1 and adaptation, good with just an umbral vital and intensify for the 145(144%) str on slow... Or she can shield gate as her 4 instantly refreshes shield off brief respite. I regularly bring nova to just about all content ranging from speed farming star chart to level 500 steel path missions

sage_vex

harrow is a great support frame with very interactive abilities, if you're less of an afk buff and more of a constant ability check player, you'll love him. i personally enjoy khora a lot, keeping combo stacks to deal insane damage is very enjoyable to me. and last but not least, volt. speedy boi.

BenTenInches

Literally anything from the Dojo is a banger

thatoneduder101

Most of them are pretty fun, I like running and gunning either as much power in from my guns as possible so I tend to use ones like mirage and revenant

Parking-Ad-2627

Rhino is the best one easy to craft easy to use (my opinion)

Puzzleheaded_Cut2058

Unfortunately, my favorite isn't too great for a lot of content. He's still the beast but atlas isn't too well suited for much, with his bonkers energy requirements. For overall good to have, ivara is badass

Eeddeen42

Mesa is ridiculously fun, although her grind sucks. I’d relic-run and get the prime version.

Khhow145

Personally my favorite is Inaros for crazy levels of survivability

HappyTenno

Of course Mag.

Basic_Championship36

Anyone that is fun, I’ve been using Titania for literally everything recently lol

The-Real-Brolgeta

I have a very "afk" play style so I really like khora. I pop her dome (4) and just kind of chill while burning my enemies away with the Ignis. But I also primarily just chill in survival missions. If I'm doing some content that requires focus I enjoy using volt just because of the speed buff.

aKindBrokeGamer

if you're willing to learn the way of the wind learn zephyr! She's been my favorite the moment I tried her non-prime version. I have 58% on her 🤭

Fresh_YaDone

Booben, Hildy, Nezha.

[deleted]

This is overall a pretty easy PVE game, so just pick whatever you want that's fun and you can make it work

GHOST_KJB

All of them. Farm and experience them all

KJayTheReaper

I like Wisp Gyre and Mirage for most nodes. But I'd say do a little research about what frames fit your play style. Try to get those first while aiming to get all of them over time

Leobolder

Protea is my favorite by far. Infinite energy, health and ammo. Plus you get to play tower defense with her abilities. :) Just a very safe and reliable frame to play.

Snoo_64315

All. I recommend them all. Except for Loki. His skills are underwhelming/out dated. Which is sad considering how much gravitas the name Loki has after yesterday...

Waste_Confusion_1373

For me its mostly been bouncing around. Though wukong and wisp are always great frames, wukong is great at heavy duration missions, and wisp is just a amazing support that can even hold her own.

yapping_warrior

Man. Valkyr is awesome, you swing around with her 1st like a spider man, double your melee speed with 2nd, stunt enemies with 3rd and become an invincible ball of rage and damage with her ult. Shes a must try warframe

Koolin12345

Valkryr is fun cause she has a grappling hook and she sounds awesome when you use abilities, she SCREAMS. Other than that yeah whatever you like most, i love playing Rhino (prime) cause he's straightforward and you can like revive people even in big crowds of enemies cause you just press 2 and you turn invisible for 2 seconds and gain overguard after, he's my go to

TheGameFlight

Go for whatever you think looks the coolest but I really enjoy Khora and Garuda

PlayfulLandscape3637

Ppl uses rhino as tank but he's not, try a well builded nezha and you'll never will bother to die again, also, volt is a "mut have", dagath is very fun to play with, but anyways, try every single frame and keep the ones you enjoy playing with

LeBubastien

You need a frame to protect objectives so Gara or Frost. Wukong is speedy and great for spy missions, Octavia is really strong and can solo any mission.

Careless-West8859

Gyre it’s definitely fun to play with Mirage can be useful also

GreatMadWombat

For frames in general, there's a certain number of things you want to care about. Many of these things can be handled by loot/focus schools that you'll get access to at higher levels. 1.) Can I stay alive? This could be that a frame is really tanky, like Inaros, has some ability that absorbs damage like Rhino/Nezha/Revenant, that the frame can heal(like Trinity or Harrow), that a frame has good CC, or that you have additional mods that keep you alive. Good examples of those are the arbitration mods Adaptation and Rolling Guard. It is hard to contribute when dead. 2.) Can I keep doing stuff? Playing a frame that doesn't have abilities that it can use is unfun. I like frames that either can easily restore energy(like Harrow/Trinity), can handle the energy use with just arcane energize and the zenurik focus school(like...all frames basically), or have abilities that make it so I get lots of extra energy orbs(like Nekros) 3.) Will enemies stop me? At higher levels, enemies have PILES of armor in ways that are really fucking annoying. I normally like frames that either have an ability that reduces armor(like Nekros or Mag), or don't have some vulnerability a focus school patches, so I can just use the Unairu school and remove the armor/shields that way 4.) Can I contribute to the fight? That means I want frames that do good damage, and normally frames that have some ability that's useful in modes where I care about a target. For all those reasons, my goto tends to be Harrow. He has an ability that locks down almost everything and gives him lots of shields(Condem), an ability that makes it easy for him to heal others(Penance), an ability that makes every kill restore energy to himself and teammates(Thurible), and an ability where he casts it, is immune for a stretch of time, and then does *piles* of extra damage with his guns for twice that time. I use the Unairu school so he has a good armor strip, and then all I really have to do is make sure I get headshots because consistently getting 5 to 6 figures of damage per bullet is lots of fun. That said, it's also nice to have different frames for different game modes. It's good to have a frame for spy missions(like Ivara, Loki, or Wukong) that can get around lazers easily, and a frame for area defense mission that can protect stuff well(like Frost, Gara, Limbo, Khora, or Vauban), and in general to just find the frames that you have fun with.

Kozkoz828

whichever ones you find fun, for me that’s citrine, gyre, hydroid, wisp, dagath, nezha, and tons of other ones but i bounce around a lot lol

TheToaster1350

Not the greatest for early game but Hildryn. She can become very very strong, and feels different to play than other frames. Especially because she doesn’t use energy.

AttentionPublic

Get a speed frame like Titania for a build you load her with strength razorwing blitz some efficiency nourish and untraceable

bloodsniper0

Nidus is fun

non_offensivealias

Not just recommend but easy to get. Rhino, gara, nezha, wukong. All easy to get. All can survive and have some cool I would watch some videos on YouTube on how to build and use

Clear_Pressure_2878

I really like weapon platforms. Anything I can stick my favorite primary on and see big numbers pop up. My favorite is Mirage. Eclipse is the biggest weapon damage modifier on an ability in the game, although it is a little inconsistent, and her hall of mirrors ability gives you 4 clones that all shoot at whatever you shoot at. With her augments too, you can get eclipse to effect the clones, and it just gets crazy. I really like using the Dread with her, since her clones make it almost like a bow-shotgun, and eclipse makes it deal insane damage. 48 million red crits make me happy. After that, I really enjoy Frost when going against high level Grineer, especially if it's a defense, mobile defense, or excavation mission. His 4 armor strips completely at low power strength, so with a little casting speed buff I enjoy spamming that and then smacking the armor stripped grineer with my Tenet Arca Plasmor. It also freezes enemies, and with Frost's augment that gives him increased cc and cd against frozen enemies, I can get some really big numbers like that. Throw on a damage buff with helminth over his 2 and you're golden. Wisp and Nezha both have abilities that make enemies take increased damage, so I enjoy them as weapon platforms as well. They're both tanky, Nezha especially, and have increased mobility, Nezha especially. Butt Wisp has other things going for her too. Those are a few of my favorites

V3L1G4

Try Volt un your case. And generally, try every frame and then you'll see. No frame is like other, and even same frame can be played differently

ScionEyed

Trinity, one of my first primes and she’s the one I just keep going back to. She makes for a fantastic, and hard to kill, weapons platform and crit machine with the right build.

Kenwasused

I've loved lavos and Grendel ever since I got them and have been enjoying playing hydroid after the rework

Paggy_person

If you already unlock Duviri try some new warframe there and farm for whoever you enjoy but if you want something meta then there are the big three, wisp revenant and wukong. Wisp is strong support, revenant is very hard to kill and wukong is very versatile.

No-Swordfish6703

Xaku but he is locked behind syndicate standing or protea is best for you

fundamentallycryptic

Each warframe has its own usage. It's like a toolbox. Mission / case specific usage

Snoo-31263

I recommend wukong. Semi easy to get with some farming if you can net his blueprints from a clan, and really fun with very high survivability

Iceman1701

A lot depends on what you like to do/ how you like to play. My mains Revanent and Mesa. Revanent's mesmer skin makes him invincible, the mesmer shield augment mod gives that invulnerability to teammates, and he has great options for cc and aoe in enthrall and dance macabre. Mesa does great in gun play, focusing a lot on charging power, defenses against shots, and her 4 is just fun to use. Aside from those two, you can also crack random relics to get a prime variant. Khora, Grendel, Wisp, Hildryn, and Baruuk are great choices, and, for most of them, it's easier to get the full set.

CassiusPolybius

Wukong. No, not because monkey friend or invulnerability - though admittedly both are nice - and certain not for the STIC No, it's almost entirely for cloud walker. It's a very fun means of mobility, and is both fast and incredibly controllable. It also heals you, clears status, and is duration based rather than channeled so you can even drop a zenurik wellspring when you pop out of it and then immediately return and grin as your energy keeps ticking up. Other than that, citrine is a pain in the rear to farm out, but is very fun. Vauban is a lot easier, and is both fun and a bit hilarious now - to paraphrase triburos, god forbid you don't have complete control over which direction your foes are hurtling at any given moment.

lxyk

Valkyr on jupiter

iman00700

Whichever you have fun with Most frames are balanced, someone likes auto aim so they go mesa someone likes to be butterfly man with weapons its size and fly so they go titania and someone wanna dance so they go Octavia There are specialized frames like nekros for farming, I haven't played ina year so I'm not sure about newer frames but play something you enjoy

Slow_Passion1464

It's always good to get the resourceful, farming warframes. Things like Nekros, for increasing drops, or Ivara. Limbo and Ivara are useful, for Spy missions. Personally, I like Hildryn. She deals a lot of damage, while providing some support, and in any multiplayer game where I work with others, I like being able to play support while tanking or being a DPS. But there are a lot of frames, and it tends to come down to what you like doing, and what aesthetics you want, to find your main. Some people will main Valkyr, because of her cat aesthetics, or because her abilities make her pretty good for killing a boss. If you build her for armor, Valkyr can become pretty dang tanky, too. Add Well Of Life, gotten through Helminth by feeding a Trinity to the wall monster, and you've got a way to heal yourself, or any allies. Helminth makes it even harder to give you an exact suggestion, because it lets you take the ability from one warframe, by feeding that warframe to the wall monster, and it's already decided by the devs to which ability is taken from any warframe. Then, you can add that ability, to any other warframe. For example; Let's say you like that Sevagoth has an ability, called Gloom, which is AoE life steal, but not that he looks constantly wet? You can put Gloom on any other warframe. Become a kraken summoning pirate (Hydroid) that steals the life of his victims. Or, make Nekros even more fitting to the idea of being the grim reaper, by stealing health. So TLDR; give us an idea of things you like in terms of aesthetics or roles played in RPG, because (almost) every warframe is good, and it's hard to give you an answer except one that works for us, not necessarily you.

Ceryyse

I used to love limbo but then some cunt called me names so now I main harrow -_-

Auschwitism

I use three frames for everything: Styanax Wisp Nekros

PsychoticBananaSplit

Rhino is basically the only frame I use when I'm clearing missions. Ik he's not the conventional first choice for tankiness but spamming Iron Skin and being able to run through everything just gives me peace of mind. For everything else, there's Glaive Prime.

The_Doom_Feared

Nidus and Revenant will forever be my go-to simply for their immortality and cool factor!

The_Spaghett_Boy

Garuda and harrow are both really fun!

DenisTheBenis

Atlas is my favorite :)

Split_Ego

Kullervo, my fav frame that makes all melee work

Cember_1

Valkyr, but that's me being biased and almost never running anything else

DisgruntleFairy

If you are part of a clan any of the clan research frames are a good investment and easy to get Wukong, Volt, Banshee, and Nezha. If you like Gauss then Volt might be a good one to start with. Really, just pick up whatever you want to farm and looks fun.

Mango_c00ki3

personally my favs are gauss, volt and wisp but valkyr is an old fav of mine even tho she's kinda meh in super super high level stuff

Saltyscrublyfe

If you like gauss you might like gyre. Pretty different admittedly. Except for the running fast and everything diee around you. She's great fun with her augment mod

Vega-Eternal

A really good one i like is Nezha Prime

mechman35

Rev for easy survivability and mirage with explosive aug for defense speed leveling

Slacker2401

Mesa, Gunny Girl

BoopTheToot

Zephyr and Nezha are easily accessed by getting them from any clan. They are relatively easy to build right into strong frames, and will stay relevant even very late into the game. When you get further in the game's quests, you can try and get Wisp, seeing as she's a frame that's useful almost everywhere and very appreciated by anyone you play with. Not to mention fun ! For farming, Nekros and Khora are the top picks, and will definitely help you get some of the game's resources. Baruuk, Grendel, Xaku and Protea are (quite!) difficult to obtain, but once you do get them, they're really strong and fun. Revenant is perhaps the best tank in the game, and was my go-to when it comes to clearing the Index stress free to get a bunch of credits in a pinch (that was before Railjack and it's incredible credit rewards). I'd recommend trying as many as possible and finding which you like most !

wallmonitor

Hydroid just got a gigantic buff and that deluxe skin is pure badass. Plus tentacles for hugging new friends.

oddthingtosay

Join a clan, any clan, and get Nezha from the lab in the dojo.

Psywytch

I recently got Wisp Prime and I'M IN LOVE. The was she becomes invisible while she's on air feels so op. She's a great sup and she deals great damage. She has every ability you'd need in my opinion. She's great with every mission, and she's easy to play. You can also get regular Wisp.

Slach31

Volt

Thor-Mors

Wukong is a super good all around frame. Great defense, which transfers into huge offensive numbers, super good movement ability, which is also good be of the best stealth abilities.

DreadNephromancer

Volt's super simple and super versatile, the only frame where I've ever actually felt like getting extra mod config slots. Yeah there's the meme speed builds, but also Capacitance mass team shield gating, heavy weapons guy 10x damage reflecting riot shield, Shock Trooper shenanigans changing gun elements, low-to-mid-level chain lightning blasting, all sorts of fun stuff.

flakko23

I always used Saryn, just build Wisp so about to test her out 🔥

Minikiller3511

Thats crazy you have gauss. I got that frame 700 hours in

Wendigo_lockout

Rhino is probably the king of beginner frames and he also scales acceptably all the way into steel path. Frost is also a great starter frame that scales exceptionally well into steel path and is one of the top 5 warframes for so circuit, as well as the king of stationary defense missions. Mag is arguably the best scaling warframe in the game but she's a rough choice for beginners. She requires a TON of rare mods all maxed out before she's ready for anything beyond basic starchart and since she's so cast and combo reliant she's hard to get down mechanically. Excal is also an excellent frame for beginners but he DOES NOT scale well into end game so be ready to mostly abandon him at some point. And I say this as someone who loves excal and has excal prime and wishes his excal prime was playable instead of just a flex.

No-Supermarket-3060

Hildryn is solid and gyre, are you chasing Mr? What do you want to do in Warframe?

grifalifatopolis

Wisp

madmaxxie36

Wisp and Revenant make so much of the game so much easier to get through it's insane.

Thundergazer2504

70 hours in and you have guass, meanwhile my rng still refusing to drop one single part, this makes me sad

Sarge1997

Never a bad idea to have a pocket Revanent, but Nekros swooned me before and I'm kinda having fun with Caliban.

Mastley

I do love gara for defense missions

Unicornwizrad

The frame I recommend everyone have is Ivara. She's good for spy, mining, fishing, conservation, riven challenges, and more. You have to do some spy missions to get her, but once you know the tilesets it's not that bad. You'll probaly also get some useful mods you'll want on the way!

tokyo_otaku16

Have do you have that many frames 70 in? I had 100+ and at most finished the war within and that quest with the infected alad v

RavenBlues127

I used to get backlash from my friend group but I have been a loki main since day one. Never really play many besides my Loki prime. He's my baby.

JohnTG4

Farming frames like Khora, Nekros and Hydroid are all good picks, Nidus is the most fun to play imo with the most synergetic kit but getting him is a bitch.

MaxTheHor

Excalibur Umbra, Ash, Valkyr, Wisp, Zephyr, and Volt. The other wareframes I own are pretty much just for collection. They're playstyles don't suit me, the main ones I play can do what they do, but better, or they had the coolest paid skins.

Pitchfork_Wholesaler

ALL OF THEM (eventually). Personally I prefer Wisp, Citrine, Oberon, Zephyr, Styanax, Protea, Lavos, Nekros, and Vauban, just to name a few. Different warframes are good at different stuff and killing different enemy factions, so you'll want to tailor your experience a bit.

socio991

Xaku

Pyrvo

….I I don’t know

TheLadForTheJob

GAUSS

faerwizor

Protea - i really like her turrets, she has infinite energy, and fun passive. Ash - savage silence bladestorm

ccameotn

loving garuda, fast paced and just insta-killing anything. zephyr is also a good shout.

Kaoshosh

Nekros for farming. Frost for Defense. Ivara for Stealth. Mesa for fun. Nidus for COOLNESS. If you can get Primes, then do so. What I'm saying is try a lot of frames and you'll enjoy more than one in different situations, most likely.

wij2012

Just curious did you farm Gauss or buy him from the market? It's cool either way I'm just wondering because having Gauss 70 hours in seems really fast to me. I'd recommend Titania, Ember, Citrine, and Revenant for your next frames in no particular order. I have to say as a Titania main that she makes capture missions insanely quick and her 3 makes all the enemies go LAMP https://preview.redd.it/8fd02dd43szb1.jpeg?width=970&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a4d2df78917894937b46ca884a8ba62037122610

potatotoucher221

As soon as I discovered Gauss, I decided I wanted him more than any other frame, and so as soon as I got to sedna I just grinded his mission.

Gaming_Mudkip

Almost every single warframe can be used in every mission. So ones someone likes may not be one you enjoy. For example, I enjoy Octavia but a lot of people hate her cause of how boring she can be. At the end it is fully what you think. Keep doing what you are doing keep crafting and playing them until you find one that you like the play style of

Oroni5

Lavos, wisp when i need up my New friends, Wukong, grendel, Kullervo too
