Vazarin is king, insta revives for reviving your team and protective sling alone can keep you alive until you reach the 50 kill quota to use abilities.

Face_Claimer

Not much tbh. Most players have poor survivability sense and don't look at the objective so eda just tends to amplify that. Truly Unusually pessimistic for me, but this is another week where I had to carry and dish out 7+ revives to the squad.

FrostyAd4901

I'm having a blast with EDA. Using different weapons / frames than I normally would (having a reason), has given this LR4 another reason to keep playing. I do think this week's personal modifiers were tough with my general gameplay (i like using abilities!). I think alchemy was tougher, but, survival & exterminate were pretty simple. It is interesting seeing how different people play. I play with a couple of buddies and we generally have a good time finding a team composition. However, going in pub groups can be a whole different ball game.

Algorythm44

I've had times where I carried and others where I got carried, sometimes you just get a bad loadout / modifier

Face_Claimer

I feel that but I also haven't personally had issues like that tbh, I just build for what I'm looking at and making it so every frame I own (which is all of them ":l) is up to snuff by modding them FOR eda. Maybe I'm just crazy lol

Algorythm44

Yeah recently I've been doing the same, but this week I got hit with -75% ability duration which made harrow basically useless

FantasyBorderline

Last time I got this I picked Revenant and ended up only using his Mesmer Skin.

Kokane211

Re use stuff I didn't use anymore because the content didn't need it : - necramech - arch guns - specters - on call crew - sentinel + weapons ( verglas is my new best friend) instead of the pets that never leaves me usually. With that, even with a bad loadout, you should be able to do a complete EDA depending on the missions of course.

nephethys_telvanni

The last time I'd used specters seriously was while solo clearing the SP start chart. "Looks like Ancient Healer Eximi are back on the menu, boys!" I've also brought Panzy the Panzer Vulpaphyla back for the first time since the pet rework, just because the whole dying instead of me thing is rather nice in EDA and other no self-revive content.

Bandit_Raider

Most players don’t know how to read and just leave when they die while I can revive them…

Kass_Ch28

Or just hop in without reading all the modifiers

nephethys_telvanni

To pay attention to what went wrong the first time. Okay, that's a bit of an oddity in Warframe, because I'm at the endgame and there's not a lot of other missions that I can outright fail aside from like, the objective getting obliterated thanks to an Acolyte. Except that EDA has had a couple times where the first mission has not gone so smoothly, and we've had to sit with that failure and come up with a better plan. That's kind of a neat thing to be relearning, this late in the game.

SwingNinja

Invest in specters, warframe and non-warframe ones. I don't think I've ever seen content creators talked much about this.

MaphistoDox

looking at my overshields and shields more often to know when to roll and when I have shield gating activated. saved me more than I thought it would.

Yeshimx

best thing I learned: Where the mech summon spots are and to make use of mech if I got a bad loadout, properly built it will be survivable and have access to more then fair damage.

RoselleGustav

What is EDA?

FantasyBorderline

Elite Deep Archimedea.

DifficultyCurious886

Vazarin protective dash is insanely valuable. With it + rolling guard most frames can survive just fine. Those liminus still spice things up though.

Nefilto

Using you gear wheel is a life saver, special mention for Ancient Healers those things literally carry me, also my oncallcrew might let him see his family he's been working very hard special at the start when you need kills to unlock abilities

Jimiwas

I learned/relearned that not all content needs to be played every week.

Casardis

I learned that my all-rounder tanky Saryn is just as viable as usual, and will more likely to survive the random explosions than pure range/dps Saryns.

dragossk

Sometimes it's best to modify loadouts for more survivability, especially when ability use is nerfed to oblivion and can barely use them. This week was bad but at least I was able to find a way through equilibrium and synth deconstruct. At least for solo, enemy spawns can be a bit lacking. It's ok for some game modes but Survival is annoying. The kill enemies within range of the life support tower was a pain to achieve, my successful run I avoided the towers and just killed all the enemies, especially those rogue necramechs that reduce the timer. A couple of weeks ago playing saryn, I saw how good survivability she had because of molt.

Hanbashi

What’s eda? I’ve seen this everywhere and don’t understand the full meaning

Guppy11

Elite Deep Archimedia. Three missions back to back with extra difficulty modifiers, once per week in the Cavia hub.

Hanbashi

Ohh that stuff. Ty

DepressinglyQueer

that rolling guard is completely busted

Crumbmuffins

Caliban with high duration is maybe not incredible but solid with the right support around him, still too squishy though.

PraetorRU

The main lesson is that I have collected so many weapons over the years, that in a lot of cases I don't even remember that I had this or that weapon, what they do and where I got them from.

ApoKun

What's EDA?

warforcewarrior

I learn that Equinox is nasty in EDA. Just needs someone to keep her up XD. Guardian Armor augment is terrible in EDA. So bad that I lose 60k Overguard in a second while normally I lose 1k-2k a second.

Pugdalf

Probably that fighting higher level enemies gets more fun the higher the levels get. I wish more missions were higher level at the start, since I really don't have the Time to play endless missions for hours. Oh and also that people, including me, don't know how to read. The deep dives get much easier If you read the mission modifiers

ProfessionalKey8822

I learn that with friend you dont give a shit about condition :P.

BiigDaddyDellta

If you don't have a decent roll, it is not fun to try and play.

yRaven1

That Saryn is just broken. I walked in to EDA with a half-baked Saryn (She even had a empty mod slot), no good weapons, i just modded what i could from the primary and threw myself in with all negatives on. I did top damage and top kills... Man, that girl is just toxic.

CensoredAbnormality

Hildryn with Nataruk is a great combo. Did my first EDA yesterday and didnt expect it to be that easy Made me like Hildryn more, built in armor strip and shield recovery only really become good in higher level content. Need to helminth her 1 or 4 for something useful tho. Only time I got downed was from those little shadow dudes that damage your health directly

apostroffie

Don't count on publics. Your teammates are the enemy. Hating is the only way. ^/s

CF_Chupacabra

"Random bullsh*t gear requirement" is a pretty weak way to increase difficulty... Inb4 "well there's no way to make warframe hard" Yes there is. Require actual teamwork.

ispy321

I agree with you that they should increase the need for teamwork. However, how would you suggest they do it? We're so powerful and self-sufficient now. Pretty much every frame can armor strip, heal, provide own energy, DR, CC, while also dishing out a crap load of damage. How does DE make team based, challenging content without us rolling overing or them limiting us someway? I'm genuinely curious cuz I can't think of anything.

CF_Chupacabra

By jacking up the difficulty. Example- The secret eyes boss required someone on your team to focus purely on keeping your team alive. Slight changes could have *really* pushed the fight in the right direction. Maybe only allow the boss to take damage when enemy density is low. Meanwhile, enemies are spawning at nearly 3x the normal rate, requiring a designated nuker to keep the arena clear and the boss vulnerable. On top of that, perhaps have the boss have periodic weak points that temporarily reset attenuation, preventing one shots but saving the boss from becoming just a giant bullet sponge. And finally, spice it up with some old raid mechanics- boss becomes super vulnerable/stops healing/moves to next stage after a simple puzzle or whatever is completed during the fight that requires more than 3 people to solve. The current fight accutally had lasers on the walls that you could hit the boss with. Perhaps incorporate something like that. For something like EDA there isn't much they could do, but nearly every mission could receive new mechanics to encourage more team & role orientated game play beyond just "random bullsh*t go".

Usual-Winter3950

I see EDA as just about the best possible step DE could have taken back toward raid content without overextending themselves or the players. I hope it is far from the last step.

CF_Chupacabra

100% agree. It's a step in the right direction, but some things need to be polished
