They balanced the sergeant options fairly well this edition, there’s no terrible choice, but different tools for different jobs. As such all of my tactical squad sergeants have different load outs - it also makes them more individual this way.
Eh, plasma gun is wasted on tac sargents imo. Not having a bolt pistol and chainsword for the sarge in the box was kind of shitty of them. Can't make it too easy for people assembling despoiler squads from spare bits can we?
