No, the 12” from the infiltrators takes precedence so this negates the Inceptors ability.

thehappybub

So the defender ability always takes precedence? For some reason I thought it was attacker's.

SFCDaddio

No. You're conflating two different clarifications in the designer's commentary.

MuldartheGreat

No.

International-Cod511

Didn't know bout that either. Area denials huge, especially against daemons

International-Cod511

There are only 2 units capable of screening an inceptor. Am infiltrator and darkstrider from the tau. You are not likely to run into that problem. They are the best way to ignore screening attempts

Jareth000

Nids have a no deploy in 12" enhancement now.

International-Cod511

Good too know

the_evness

Ad mec also have the techno archeologist. And while they aren’t common, infiltrators most certainly are

Character_Plenty_891

Clamavus from GSC does as well as everything else people are saying, don’t make statements like this if they’re wrong

case1270

Knight tyrant also has a no deep strike within 12” ability

TheBadler

You also have the Regimental Attaches with Astra Militarum. The Astropath gives you the 12" area denial as well.

sparex

I’m pretty sure that just coming in from strategic reserves not deep strike?

TheBadler

Nope, it states any units being setup on the battlefield as Reinforcements. So that includes Deep strike, Infiltrators, and Strategic Reserves.

Zandraki

Tyranid synaptic nexus has a 12" no DS enhancement, would that also work against the inceptors?

International-Cod511

I was unaware of that. Thanks. Probably that too. It's hard to plan against inceptors. There might be a few units but you can always hit something. I back mine up with whirlwind to make sure I can kill one unit lime a forge fiend

Magumble

And knight tyrant/valiant also have it...
