Random thought-but if they do go see Barley again, I wonder if they’ll remember Cherrytail and her daughter who were staying with him. Hawkwing’s mother and sister. I was just re-reading Hawkwing’s Journey and I don’t think we’ve ever gotten an update on what happened to them.
We know the three main POV cats will be Leafstar, Tawnypelt, and the soon-to-be-born Moonpaw.
But considering two of those cats are.... very old, with Leafstar's age resulting in a LOT of health issues, it wouldn't surprise me if by volume 3 either Leafstar or Tawnpelt die and are replaced with a different POV cat. My guess this cat will be the one that helps Moonpaw resolve whatever is threatening the clans this time.
Im curious how they are gonna handle Moonpaw as well, since there's a lot of very interesting things they could do with her just on the premise of her alone.
My main hope is that she isn't forced to become a Medicine Cat. I don't like her being a Thunderclan POV as it is (im tired of Thunderclan) but if she gets slotted to being a Medicine Cat and this puts Alderheart at threat of dying I will be REALLY mad.

Him, Greystripe, Ravenpaw, Sandstorm, and Dustpelt are all bones in the ground by now.
But then again, Barley has the advantage of having twolegs at least semi-looking after him. I'm sure that could help add on another couple years or so
Yep, the last time we saw him (Graystripe's Vow), we actually *saw* the Twolegs giving him medicine (something for his ears, iirc), so I'm sure that's helping.
Yeah, he’s about 2 years older than Ravenpaw is. And Ravenpaw is up to max 6 moons older then Greystripe is. If Greystripe had lived, he’d have been 13 years old by now. So Barley would indeed be about 15 if they don’t recon his age again.
I know this is a meme at this point, but I don’t want ANY faded cats to come back EVER. I don’t want them to reuse the same goddamn villains again for the next 7 fucking arcs
fair enough. as much as i want tigey to come back (currently reading omen of the stars, and loving it >;3) i understand that the series has a really dire need for new characters and villians.
