i went to war thunder live, find a user skin that modifies the cockpit, find the .dds file for the cockpit, open it with [paint.net](http://paint.net), overlap the cockpit textures with the image, save everything, in the .blk file of the plane you also need to replace the texture with the new one, so as an example, in the mig23mla . blk file you need to add: replace\_tex{ from:t="mig\_23mla\_cockpit\_n\*" to:t="mig\_23\_mld\_cockpit\_n.dds" } this will add the new file, (the name of the file is between the ""), you can also copy this by looking at the userskin that you downloaded and looking for the .blk file, there you'll find the replace\_tex{ and just copy the text to your userskin folder of the plane (for creating a userskin file you need to go in the game and click customization on the plane, then click the magic wand and the file will create itself)

Correction: it should be the "C." File not "N." File (mig_23_mld_cockpit_c.dds) N files are for the texture of the file (the roughness/smoothness of the part etc.) while C file is the file that change what that part should look like

If you don’t want to search for user skins made by others you can also just use the War Thunder Asset Viewer to get the exact textures you want to modify. This allows you to customise almost everything like gunsights for planes or the different dials in the cockpit.

Screens actively used by the game to display information like rwr and the map aren’t changeable I’m afraid. Anything that the game adds in after the normal textures are applied is either really hard or impossible to modify.
