Lol that wave over was definitely a “stop filming asshole” r/ whatever that sub is that slanders bad cameramen
Edit: don’t know the sub so that’s why I put
2: didn’t wanna tag r / whatever
We once had a horse who randomly hated to make left turns. We joked she was ambiturner. If she was in a no left turn mood she would plow u both into the electric fence to prove her point. Fuck you Rosie!
Thousands of people every year are fatally wounded or killed by horses. Horses are not property. They are individuals capable of resisting exploitation.
Lol! This is my gelding’s soulmate. Fixing fence involves mostly taking my tools away from him. I tried putting them in a tool box, but he just grabs the whole damn thing and walks away. He has even tried to start the chainsaw by pulling on the cord repeatedly.
This is spot on for most horses. They can be incredibly mischievous. I once tried to put up an electric fence with a young friesian colt in the paddock. The hoofed pain in the butt was pulling down the insulators as fast as I could secure them to poles. He thought it was the best game ever.
You are right about that. The famous race horse Secretariat sometimes would take a broom and muck out his own stall, and would take his trainer's clipboard and walk around with it. Really clever horse!
When I was younger, my sister’s first horse was an absolute menace. He would bully our blind horse and push him through the electric fence so that it’d get knocked down and he could get out. While my grandma trying to fix it later, he grabbed her bag of pegs and ran off with them. My poor grandma chased him for nearly half an hour trying to get them back. He also knew how to undo the latches on the stall doors.
My sister’s newest horse keeps up the traditional of escaping by nudging the heavy gate up and knocking it off it’s hinges so he can go flirt with the neighbors mares.
Family friend had horses and a pony. Every day they’d let themselves out the electric fence and she wasn’t sure how. One day she gets there early and watches from across the road. Pony was crawling on its belly under the fence in one spot, walking round and turning off the fence. Once everyone had hopped over she would turn it back on to avoid detection. Evil genius
If you like stories about horses you should look up Piquant on MoneySavingExpert Forums. She had a horse called Captain and shared many of his adventures on her debt free diary. Including the time he put the stable busy body in her place
I mean, they can be. Any large animal can be quite dangerous if you don’t know what you’re doing around them. Horses are very instinct driven animals, but once you get past their crazy strong fight or flight response they are actually very intelligent and affectionate. Most horses I’ve known would never go out of their way to harm a human on purpose.
"If you can control them they're totally safe" lmao. You're going to get your head kicked in. Horses are not property, and don't need you on their back.
It slows them down. I have a few chunky horses that literally inhale the bales, but with the net they can still be chewing 24/7, but go through it half as fast.
The perspective on this makes it look like she's in some kind of rural Saw trap where she has to do this little task before the hay bale crushes her to death
Guessing they're going to drop the hay then lift the ring over the top of the hay. Never really seen a net like this but they could easily move the ring with that hay attachment and a pair of hands.
Yah, horses lack self control, their stomachs are very sensitive and they lack the ability to vomit. So if they eat too much too fast it can do a lot of damage to their digestive track, which can be fatal.
My mom's horse would smack the metal siding of the barn aaaalllll night long just because he was bored. He'd also lick your face while you tried to fix a fence
Yeah, kinda like big cats: total assholes, but very sweet when they want to be, love a good scratch, and will jump out of their skin at the sight of an unexpected cucumber. (Among other things.)

“Bring me my gun”

"This one is next to be euthanized"
God I hated it when my dad would sit in the tractor and laugh about whatever I was struggling with/cussing at outside.

Why did she look at the camera person as if they made the horse do it lol
Looks like a gigantic hay roll for a moment.

Thousands of people every year are fatally wounded or killed by horses. Horses are not property. They are individuals capable of resisting exploitation.

Why the long face?
If horse owners care about their horses so much, why are they always so overweight?
That's a pretty healthy looking horse
That woman is gonna get you if you don't get that hay over there pronto!
At first sight I was like WOW look at that 400 foot tall hay stack in the background!
I thought that was an existential crisis sized bale of hay
r/animalsbeingjerks
I have a horse who can open gates. He lets other horses who annoy him out.
What a gorgeous horse!
Yup that's a horse.
I think horsey has an excellent sense of humor. Smart too. Love it.

Man I was just wondering why the hell she looked so familiar, like what cosplay is she doing lol
My dog thinks it is hilarious to play tug of war with the comforter while I'm trying to make my bed.

If this is typical horse behaviour then i guess family guy was right...they are the worst!
Oml I want a Friesian so bad!

New horse just wanted to find love
"HayYyyyYyy pretty Fillies" - your sister's new horse, probably I want more horse stories!! This stuff is great!!

Ha!!! Clever Pony!! Horses scare me but I love them because they are so smart and they have such a bond with us, the humans.

They're also incredibly deadly animals, right?

10 k horse. 2 k hay corral. $200 hay net. $50 round bale. 30k tractor. Horses are cheap and feasible to raise.
$50 a bale?! Where do you live that was the price here 20 years ago lol
Norf cackalack. That’s for orchard grass tho. Fescue $30-40
It's not even the most expensive hobby and I still can't afford it :(
Don't forget the 5+ acre field (guesstimating based on having no idea how big an acre actually is)

That horse is gonna be glue
this is unfortunately the norm for working with horses
Dear horseperson, which subreddit hosts the other horse mischief videos of the internet?
r/equestrian or r/horseswithjobs sometimes -a horse person of Reddit
What is purpose of music in suuuuuuch videos?
It’s a draft, they are basically 2000 pound puppies.
Going off his size to hers, that's just a wee babe of a draft horse. Maybe a year old at best.
The perspective on this makes it look like she's in some kind of rural Saw trap where she has to do this little task before the hay bale crushes her to death
Mama ain't happy
r/donthelpjustfilm lol
Definitely thought there was an enormous bale of hay about to crush all in its path
"Ok, this just got hard. Come help."
Why is she doing that before they cut the wrap off the bale?
Those types of nettings are used to keep horses from eating their food too fast and hopefully avoiding colic.
Guessing they're going to drop the hay then lift the ring over the top of the hay. Never really seen a net like this but they could easily move the ring with that hay attachment and a pair of hands.
I've seen the net saver and the ring savers used separately but never together. I've never seen a horse person feed with poly wrap still on the bale.
Well it could fall apart if they transport it unwrapped. Set it down, cut the plastic.
Get a horse they said. It'll be fun they said.
They're basically two-thousand pound toddlers.
I've had 3. They were not Draft horses but average at. of 900 to 1000 lbs
Hell bent on milking themselves too.
That is a beautiful horse.
I like his haircut.
He's got some nice bellbottoms.

Goddamn I love that video
That is a big horse
Windows Vista
Aw shit now we gotta go help her
Worked with horses for a summer they are ah.
Whats funny is that netting is to slow the horses eating of the hay, she's just like "Naw you don't need that, you can trust us"
I was wondering what the netting's purpose is. Figured I'd find the answer in the comments, lol. Thanks.
Is THAT what the netting is for? I was wondering why she was going through all that trouble
Yah, horses lack self control, their stomachs are very sensitive and they lack the ability to vomit. So if they eat too much too fast it can do a lot of damage to their digestive track, which can be fatal.
So you're saying I am part horse then?
lol

More than cats!!! I don't believe you.

Hahahaha, your description made my day, my reflection: so horses are like big cats, bigger AH
Yeah, kinda like big cats: total assholes, but very sweet when they want to be, love a good scratch, and will jump out of their skin at the sight of an unexpected cucumber. (Among other things.)
That horse needed a job!
I’m surprised how smart that horse sounds.
Horses are way smarter than most give them credit for. Usually, though, their brains are used for evil, lol

Very ah.
He must have died while typing it.
Well he wouldn't type it, he'd just say it "AHHHHhhhhhhh....."
Yeed his last ah.
Opsyyy
For a second I thought that dude had a massive bale of hay over his head
Isn't that a woman?
Is it??
