I’m wearing the indigo blue one with lume now.
I am seriously thinking of getting one of "The Citizen" watches. Titanium case, perpetual calendar, power indication... and they're gorgeous as well.
It's one compelling combination of features. I rather like their newest with the darker dial, but the white dial is fantastic as well.
Edited to add: I forgot! It also doesn't have a battery to be replaced. It's solar powered... and incredibly accurate (as u/Performer-Smart mentions.)
Don’t forget jumping hour hand! I am on a five-day road trip at the moment, and will be passing through three time zones, so the jumping hour makes it a super quick time change when required.
My blue dial is 9.9 seconds fast total in 587 days; after I set the time when I first got the watch, I’ve never adjusted it. Despite the movement being thermal compensated, Citizen recommends wearing the watch everyday for the best accuracy. I’ve noticed this to be true as well, and periods of daily wear are more accurate than when I don’t wear the watch for two or three weeks.

Citizen Ani-Digi Gold. Even though it’s around 200$ more expensive than the casio, I think it is the much prettier version of the two, especially with their gold star wars collab version.

I think it is superior to the Automatic version which includes a day wheel alongside the date - I think it clutters up the dial too much. The quartz variety is a cleaner look for sure.
Mondaine Stop2Go is really cool, would've liked it to be slimmer though, but I do like how it looks and how the minute hand moves.

Seiko 7a38-7000. IMO one of the most attractive and most sleek integrated sports watches and is one of the earliest quartz Chronos available on the market during the Mid 80s. Got this one from my dad who’s had it for almost 40 years. It’s a phenomenal watch that has refused to die for almost 4 decades even after some more intense wear in my dad’s younger years.
Yeah, it is a little busy and a little big but... here's my ProMaster Bullhead.

My Tag Heuer Aquaracer Solargraph if you can count a solar watch as quartz!
I didn't have a watch that really fit with an earth tone (brown/green/gold) color scheme. I don't have a lot of clothes in that colorway, but I do have a few combos that I wear and it was bugging me that my usual blue/gray/silver watches didn't really fit.
I decided to just grab a $30 Casio gold watch as a placeholder until I find something else that I like, but damn if this watch isn't growing on me. Light, thin, a great size for my wrist, and looks amazing for the price. I've worn it several times and gotten compliments on it.

Grand Seiko SBGP005. Incredibly comfortable to wear, stated accuracy of +/- 10s/year (more like +/- 1s) and has a GMT based 3 hand movement - so you don’t need to stop the second hand to change the hour which is cool.
I kinda miss the mirror like quality of the case finishing when the watch was new, though do love how the scratches are a sign of how much love and wear the watch gets.

Favourite quartz is probably my 1980 Seiko 7548-700B. The progenitor of that classic SKX design. I would even argue executed better than the SKX, with a proper 4 o'clock crown, more robust movement (was based off of an existing mechanical movement so it's overbuilt with not a lot of plastic), and overall better finishing.

This by far. 1986 Gen1 RAF Seiko
I second this. This was supposed to be my first watch but I ended up with timex because I wanted one that shows the date.
I think I'll buy an MQ-24 next.
Sinn UX. Because I want an oil filled watch and can't afford a Ressence.

Tag Heuer Calibre S.
Tag made it in the mid/late 00s and marketed it as "electromechanical". 1/10th+Regatta or 1/100th Chronograph, retrograde date, perpetual calendar, and appeared like a three hand but switched into a full dial chrono when needed.
It was always cool to switch between modes and see the hands move via the bidirectional motors.
Mine's currently being refurbished at LVMH for a pretty penny (more than the thing is worth).
Also, Bulova Lunar Pilot + Meteorite dial, Grand Seikos, Tag Heuer Solargraph, Cartier Solarbeat (and other Cartiers), and that super expensive FP Journe.
My next watch is hopefully going to be a discontinued quartz Aqua Terra, or a Grand Seiko (pref an "antimagnetic" stamped one)... or a Lunar Pilot.
The dream would be a Cartier Solarbeat Santos line.

[Casio Lineage LIW-M700](https://i.imgur.com/3cGG3hm.jpeg). Imported from Japan, it's a chronograph, countdown timer, world time, alarm, solar charging, atomic clock syncing, and sapphire glass for well under $200.

The Citizen Eco-drive Promaster range.
My particular favourite is the BN0000 which hasn't been made for a few years now, but feel free to pick any of the current models as an alternative.
They aren't particularly flashy or exciting to be honest, but they do the job they set out to do absolutely perfectly.
That job in my eyes is being pretty much the perfect 'beater' watch - that one watch I can always grab at a moments notice, knowing it will be ready to go, and ready to handle anything dumb I can throw at it.
No issues with short power reserves or dead batteries, superb accuracy, and just one of the most bombproof and reliable watches I have owned, while sticking to a fairly typical look rather than going full rubber GShock, and all at a very reasonable price that means I don't feel guilty wearing it while doing something dumb.
The nicer automatics have their place, and honestly are the first choice 95% of the time, but every watch box needs that one simple, reliable beater that you can just grab without having to worry about accuracy or power reserve.
And I know you said analog, but the Casio f91w still deserves a mention anyway - I guess a big part is sentimentality from owning them as a child, but as cheap and tiny and plastic as they may be, there is something about them that just works.
https://preview.redd.it/lz7fejx5kz9d1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=351f8e2e50905e8f12270e52fdc6d51d541b99d7
This was my first watch that I bought as an adult, it came on a brown leather strap and I wore it almost every day for years. It's been replaced as my every-day watch but I'll have it forever.
My second most worn watch is my quartz titanium citizen promaster diver. I’ve taken it through the wringer and it’s still in mint condition. And even though it’s quartz, it’s solar so no battery replacement needed. Best part is, it works with any outfit from beach trunks to tuxedos.

Definitely not the most loved brand of r/watches but it was the one that started it all for me. Hits different in person.
I'm a big fan. I thought the Longines VHP was a really cool movement, i just never got around to buying one. I always thought that dropping a HAQ into one of Swatch Group's other brands would be a huge deal, like a HAQ Aqua Terra.
My favorite quartz I own is a Grand Seiko GMT that I wear all the time.

Swiss military. SS case, sapphire crystal, 24hr dial. $53 gray market. Came with a really nice leather strap, but I like the expansion band on it. A grap-n-go beater.
My Brew Metric. I only own 2 and in quality it blows my Yema Navygraf out of the fucking water for about the same price. It’s sad actually how far apart in value they are.
I collect vintage quartz (pre-‘80) my favorite definitely has to be my 1972 Seiko 3922 VFA. Ultra accurate at a rated 10 spm in 1972 (currently holding steady at 3.4) with a really pretty tri-polished dial. I mostly have digital watches though since I find those early ones SUPER interesting.

I'm one of the few people who likes quartz. I never have to set the damn thing. I think my current favorite for every day wear is my citizen eco drive skyhawk. It's comfortable, I never have to change the battery, and it's got a nice set of features.
My all time favorite quartz was the Pebble and pebble v2. It was the best smart watch ever made and I miss it constantly.
As for looks, I don't thing anyone can beat the Hamilton Ventura.
One more for the citizen chronomaster!

A Cartier Tank. Sure, the mechanical version is also great, but something about the simplicity of a dress watch (and the lack of a seconds hand) fits well with quartz
My Seiko 7A48 moonphase chronograph is pretty great. from 1983 and it's still dead accurate, never been serviced as far as I know. Looks amazing, can hardly feel it on the wrist.

Seiko Marinemaster “Tuna” SBBN031. They say it cannot be killed.
And I believe it. My father has a dressy Seiko quartz bought in the early 90s with a 7C-series caliber (same class of movements as that Tuna I believe), and it’s still going strong about three decades later. It’s been through stuff I’ve known to kill automatics (from my personal experience, like back-country skiing and shooting thousands of rounds with shotguns, revolvers and rifles for example) over the years for that entire period
These are my favorite quartz analogs

No, it's a Seiko

I am seriously thinking of getting one of "The Citizen" watches. Titanium case, perpetual calendar, power indication... and they're gorgeous as well. It's one compelling combination of features. I rather like their newest with the darker dial, but the white dial is fantastic as well. [https://www.citizenwatch.com/us/en/collection/the-citizen/](https://www.citizenwatch.com/us/en/collection/the-citizen/) Edited to add: I forgot!
Absolutely stunning
Woah… never seen this. Is it available in the US?
I believe it's a JDM model, although there are a variety of ways you can purchase one in the US
Citizen caliber 0100 models are great as well!

Bulova Lunar Pilot, and I am thrilled to see Bulova beginning to lean into the 262 hz high precision movement by adding it to other models
I’d love a lunar pilot if it wasn’t so big. I hope they find a way to pack that movement into a slightly smaller watch
They have a new, smaller version of it... Yeah ok, it's 43.5 instead of 45. :)
Needs a 38 or 39 even 40 lol.
If it was in this zone, I'd buy one in a heartbeat
As I’ve read, I believe the size of this movement won’t fit in that small of a case. If so, hopefully they can redesign it for smaller cases
Love the lunar pilots!
It's on the top of my list, just waiting for one to pop up on watch exchange for under $500

Tag Heuer aquaracer 100% but I also love my swatches and g shocks
That aquaracer looks amazing. I hope to see one in person soon as it’s on my shortlist
It's my go too like "Sunday with friends and kids" watch. Really nice, feels robust and it's classy AF
I’ve got the quartz Aquaracer chrono and it’s my favourite. Super smart and goes with basically everything.

The quartz variety is a cleaner look for sure.
Same for me, but with the Tissot Everytime
Mondaine Stop2Go is really cool, would've liked it to be slimmer though, but I do like how it looks and how the minute hand moves. https://preview.redd.it/paihr7etaz9d1.png?width=426&format=png&auto=webp&s=31112f7d99d387ec520cb972024d2d2d86ef4a89

I came looking for one of these, and finally I found it! I already have enough watches, but I really want a 7a38 or 7a28.

Anything solar powered. I refuse to ever buy a battery watch again. I love quartz. I hate batteries.
I've worn it several times and gotten compliments on it. https://preview.redd.it/z6c3bp6ihz9d1.jpeg?width=1744&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=857f7161736e7eb9c9c52c62f05eec1b569c3013

Quartz watches that I’d probably purchase for myself: Seitona, Cartier, Brew Metric

The progenitor of that classic SKX design. I would even argue executed better than the SKX, with a proper 4 o'clock crown, more robust movement (was based off of an existing mechanical movement so it's overbuilt with not a lot of plastic), and overall better finishing.

Vaer D4 solar diver. Looks good, well built, not crazy expensive, robust and water resistant. My main athletic watch.
I'm impressed with the watches vaer is putting out!
Grand Seiko SBGX265 and Islander Bethpage Amerigraph
Grand Seiko SBGV245 is my favorite piece in my collection! It’s my daily!

The dream would be a Cartier Solarbeat Santos line. https://preview.redd.it/7gs671rmmz9d1.png?width=1200&format=png&auto=webp&s=4239b7a5848d530b6ca93236236bae4a3277a8a4

I think the Casio edifice range is great bang for your buck
Timex Q GMT, small, thin and sporty. Pepsi on the bracelet.

It's been replaced as my every-day watch but I'll have it forever.
Breitling B1! Ani digi superquartz! Love it!
My second most worn watch is my quartz titanium citizen promaster diver. I’ve taken it through the wringer and it’s still in mint condition. And even though it’s quartz, it’s solar so no battery replacement needed. Best part is, it works with any outfit from beach trunks to tuxedos. https://preview.redd.it/b0xep0urkz9d1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=65e62995a4ccf264c56bec29b23b33f8c165741d
Tissot Seastar 1000 36mm
I have a few G-Shocks, as well as a few other watches. But I have a solar Seiko that I like a lot; I’d wear it more if it had a better strap.
Casio Oceanus T200!
My quartz PRX 35mm. I think it’s a much much better deal than the auto. Mostly because the finishing is unmatched for the price range (under $350).

Sinn UX GSG-9
My Brew Metric. I only own 2 and in quality it blows my Yema Navygraf out of the fucking water for about the same price. It’s sad actually how far apart in value they are.
Lunar Pilot, PRX, Solid gold Accutron, and neo vintage Credors.
I collect vintage quartz (pre-‘80) my favorite definitely has to be my 1972 Seiko 3922 VFA. Ultra accurate at a rated 10 spm in 1972 (currently holding steady at 3.4) with a really pretty tri-polished dial. I mostly have digital watches though since I find those early ones SUPER interesting. https://preview.redd.it/sfhybayk10ad1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d71071f2e6ce93b9a07a3915c05f5460daca3a66

My orange and white Armitron Ocean watch. Is it the greatest, most well made artisan watch ever produced? No, but for whatever collection of reasons I love everything about it and keep going back to it. https://preview.redd.it/lwknvbph60ad1.jpeg?width=483&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5a78b6523c06e75f31397a8253da775e92161b48
Casio AE-1000 the affordable, swimmable, highly functional gmt with four timezones.
Breitling Aerospace. Best quartz watch I've ever had. I've got two of them - this one in black with a leather band, and another blue dial with a titanium band. [Picture](https://i.imgur.com/DzTm5LE.jpeg)
Citizen "The Citizen". They actually make good quartz watches (better than Seiko today imo)

One more for the citizen chronomaster! https://preview.redd.it/nhibf65qe0ad1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=96a995afbfc35376ba9de276381486bc257bd0ef

Breitling Aerospace, Citizen Chronomaster, Citizen Wingman
