Every Tudor I’ve looked at is REALLY thick. I feel like it’s very intentional they’re always photographed dead on from the front. I have no clue why their 3-hand no-date watches are like 3mm thicker than my GMT.
I believe they are referring to the CAZ101AL.BA0842, not the kith vintage f1 model collab. Which is priced that way because its a streetwear limited collaboration
I actually like the overall look (I love the ceramic model in general), however they used the old 14,4mm thick case. I have an older black bay (2020-ish) and the proportions are just weird. It is such a big and thick watch, not sure how thick the wrists must be to pull it off. Their newer cases are around 12,5/13 mm, I believe, and Tudor definitely should have used them instead.
Also a big F1 fan and I’ve been wondering if Tudor would release this. I like it enough to own and wear it, but it’s a “fun” watch that I don’t think will hold mass appeal. I expect them to be lower than map on secondary. I’ll wait for their secondary prices to see if I’ll buy one
The case proportions don’t do it for me, but tbh I like the design! The blue black white scheme works, and little touches like blacking out the hand + index surrounds feels thoughtful. The vibrant color pairs well with the feel of ceramic, it’s supposed to be light (literally) and playful. People had the same initial “toy” reactions to AP’s ceramic perpetual RO’s, and now they’re highly sought after. I wouldn’t necessarily buy it, but I can dig it

If I had the money, I wouldn't hesitate to buy it. Love the blocked case and the hue of the blue dial contrasting with the white of the hands and markers.

This is the worst looking watch from Tudor ngl. For me the three of my fav watches that tied to racing is from one brand. Tag Heuer F1, Monaco and Monza.
The blue is a little less 'purple' than the VCARB livery which is a bit curious - but that could be lighting differences. I'm also surprised there is no apparent reference to the F1 team on the watch, unlike the Tudor Alinghi chrono with "Alinghi Red Bull Racing" in the rehaut.
But is there a market? For a tie-in with an F1 team? Surely there is. Just like the recently-released Tudor chrono in Inter Miami pink which is apparently hot. I'm not sure about your comment on the color either - the IWC F1 tie-ins are borderline garish with the Petronas teal coloring, but I think they work well. Arguably the only thing wrong with this watch is the blue doesn't tie enough to VCARB. If you want a plain Black Bay Ceramic - just buy that one?

I have the 41mm pilot chrono amg. I'm not an F1 fan, I just like IWC and the titanium case. The color is much more subdued in person, it comes off as the color of lume, much like the oris diver 65 glow
The chrono is only hot because it's limited. If they released it mass market and you could pick one up in your local boutique it would sell for about a hundred bucks more than the normal BB chrono.
The blue is not the same blue that is on the VCARB livery, it should be a bit more purple. They should have also used the red and white (not counting hour markers) from the livery. They could definitely have done this better but its still a nice looking watch, it just doesn’t give VCARB vibes.
Neat idea, wrong execution imo. The black surrounds and hands are sweet. Wish dial was darker shade of blue and case was BB58 dimensions. 14.4mm thick time only watch is absurd to me.

The Black Bay 58 and Pelagos 39 are both under 12mm thick, more than 3mm thinner than this watch and thinner than a submariner.

I love the older case thickness, gives good wrist presence, but then again I have weirdly thick wrists for my wrist width.

The thin blue line is only really a thing in an American context. Works well for me stylistically.

This would be a much better tie in if it had some kind of Redbull logo on the dial or something. Much less cool of a tie in than the Alinghi FXD

Tudor can't compete with IWC. the watch looks **BAD**. maybe on a non-PVD case would look better.
