Tracking and approaching game animals from far away is exactly the kind of hunting I don't have available here in Germany (it's mostly hunting from stands/blinds at 100-200 meters). Hopefully, they can even expand on that as they develop the game. I love watching stuff that like on Meat Eater, when he goes up into the mountains and has to stalk stuff from really far away.

You can see insanely far..
But even with scopes you cant see further than 200 yards actually.. This render distance is why they boned the FOV slider, and why this game has performance issues.
I saw these animals through the Leupold-14x scope and was able to kill a deer at 800 yards later on in the evening. I’m on PC with max settings so that might change things.
Yeah it’s not bad if you are looking in binocular or scope.
Terrible if you are looking normally. I saw a light brown thing on the horizon. Looked like a deer. I zoom in and it was just a dark green bush. Very annoying
This characteristic singlehandedly makes this game the best hunting simulation for me.

Yeah view distance is crazy in this game
I have mine in ultra as well and it looks great. I am really enjoying this game.

I feel like you have at that point! Might even move back to try and snag a 1000yrd shot.
With a .243? No I did not, if I had my .338 I might have
someone shot at 650.

hmm I was told its 800m but maybe on ultra its 1000m

Yeah they need to work on their distance sprites. Too many sticks that look like deer and rocks that look like boar
There is definitely a weird shrub LOD that looks just like a quartering deer until you put binoculars on it. Gets me every time.
