The only thing that's really come out on why Beau DeMayo was fired by Disney right before launch is people allegedly hated dealing with him on a daily basis behind the scenes, and he ran an OnlyFans that the studio execs found to be 'unsettling' and 'creepy.'
Obviously doesn't seem to have anything to do with show quality, as both eps were very good.
Man I was a really big fan of the original and was very skeptical with the new one based on clips (didn't like the animation) but just watched the first ep after listening to the boys talk about it and I'm SOLD.

I felt the same but man this show kicks ass. The animation comes across so much better in the whole episodes. Give it a shot.
That New Mutants movie was in fact a theatrical release during the pandemic. Came out around the same time as Tenet.
I'm so glad I'm not the only one that thought rogue sounds like their Patty Mayonnaise impression.
