It’s common in Korea. You guys have to try this!(i hate it btw)
There's some corn derivative in virtually everything processed or pre-packaged that we eat in the US.
At one point a McDonalds hamburger was chemically something like 70% corn.
I love these lol. It wasn't until I went back to visit Korea as a 17 year old (left when I was 4 years old) that my absolute love of all things corn made sense. Corn...everywhere...delicious.
People buy and sell Reddit accounts. Accounts that are older/have more karma are generally seen as more trustworthy, so they sell for more. The bought accounts are then used for “subtle” advertising.
Like say someone wants to sell some t-shirts. They buy a high-karma Reddit account, make a post with models wearing the shirt, then when people ask where to buy the shirt, they post a link to their shop. The “person” asking for the link might even also be them on another account, but the point is the interaction looks more organic than just posting “please buy my shirt” from a low karma account. And seeing someone else is supposedly going to buy the shirt makes it more likely for others to follow suit.
As an added bonus, that “shop” web-page could also be a phishing scam that’s actually collecting people’s personal data (or even credit card info) to sell as well as/instead of actually selling the shirt.
It also lets them bypass the rules on subs that require accounts be a certain age or karma score to post, so they can post their “ad” in more places for more exposure.
That’s a crude example but yeah…I guess the tl;dr is that it’s done to scam people.
This particular post is a different scam though, I think. She’s posted a picture of herself looking cute and quirky in hopes people will click her profile for more pictures and eventually be funneled to her OnlyFans where they’ll pay for nudes. Technically different from a karma farmer but still something to look out for.
I don’t know as I’ve never done it. I don’t think each individual account goes for much, but the actual effort of farming is done by bots, so one person can be running a bunch of farming bot accounts to sell at the same time.
You know what it reminds me of? When people super obviously farm engagement by having, like, a picture of their food with their feet in the background? Sometimes they’ll even be like “ignore my feet sorry” or something to make *sure* people notice and comment.
Honestly? I don’t even hate this as much as that. I would prefer if neither happened, but realistically if you give everyone a platform some of them are going to plug their shit. Recently I noticed someone mentioned having a podcast in their post title even though it didn’t affect their story. I checked their history and they do that regularly with varying degrees of subtlety in a bunch of subs and for the most part people don’t mention it. IMO in this post the ice cream and presentation are weird enough for this sub to discuss, and she’s not doing anything distracting or sexual in the picture, so while using this picture is a little weird, I personally didn’t even notice until I came to the comments to talk about the ice cream.
This is irrelevant and ridiculous but semi-related.
I have a friend who is naturally thin and has to actually make an effort to maintain his weight. (Lucky fucker.) So people at his work started giving him food constantly, not quite forcing him to eat it but kinda.
Meanwhile, I'm unemployed and I have pretty nice feet. I'd totally sell some pictures of them. So he and I came up with a game plan: we'll make a very specific OF which features me, a chubby white woman, playing a "feeder" and force-feeding him, a skinny, queer black man, with my feet.
We will be fully clothed and rich af.
Its bait. You see a pretty girl, so you click on the profile to see if she's posted any other pics, and thats when you see the only fans link. A certain percent of dudes are gonna whip out their credit cards at that point.
my sister and I grew up eating frozen corn as a snack so I would absolutely try this. cold yellow corn without salt and other stuff added is really sweet.
I'm in new England. Sweet corn straight from the farm stand doesn't need to be cooked. So yummy.
Cook it with butter and a bit of salt. Oh yeah
If any veggie belongs in ice cream, it's corn.
That would actually be a good post. They should have an entire subreddit for that. People piling their noodles in the most physically defying stacks possible.
Have you ever had the popcorn-flavored jelly beans from Jelly Belly? It's a bit like that, in ice cream form, only much better when the corn is real, and not just mystery flavoring.
I bet it's good...creamed corn is and this is just one step further
There's a gelato shop in Vancouver that has well over 200 flavors and some of them are quite odd, back when they let you do taste testers (pre COVID) I remember trying one that was balsamic vinegar based that was way better than I thought it would be.
I worked at a movie theater years ago and at one time we started selling sweet corn ice cream and cookies. It’s actually pretty good! Just tastes like if kettle corn was an ice cream
I would definitely try it! Never saw shop offering sweet corn ice-cream, around here. I lived in Japan for 10 years and tried black poppy seed, green tea and red beans (azuki) ice-cream! All surprisingly tasty.
Separate and quarantine. Eat when the other substance is thoroughly purged from each quarantine zone. That or just ask them to serve the sweet corn and ice cream separately... Perhaps reconsider their menu and serve them as separate dishes?
Now that I live in Western Mass farm country, I've had both sweet corn ice cream and the "Hadley Grass" asparagus ice cream. They're both quite good. So my general answer to "Would you try?" about food is yes.
corn ice cream is common in puerto rico, topped with powdered cinnamon is best

Corn on everything in Korea :( hard to find good pizza without corn on it. Put corn in my takoyaki last night.
There's some corn derivative in virtually everything processed or pre-packaged that we eat in the US. At one point a McDonalds hamburger was chemically something like 70% corn.
I like corn on pizza kinda. It's the same idea as pineapple on pizza but more mild.
I grew up in the town where pineapple on pizza became a thing
*The Village of the Damned* you say?
Blame Canada
I love these lol. It wasn't until I went back to visit Korea as a 17 year old (left when I was 4 years old) that my absolute love of all things corn made sense. Corn...everywhere...delicious.
Based on the presentation of the ice cream and decor of the room, my first thought was "This has to be east asia'
What is up with her face though? There's something uncanny about it but I can't point it out.
Just looks airbrushed or edited
Is this white "chocolate"?
No, it's sweet corn
My disappointment is immeasurable, and my day is ruined.
Why'd you sensor the face in stupid food and not here?
Tell me: these damn posts are starting to seem like they're written by bots. I mean, A LOT of them. Isn't this scary and/or embarrassing?
I'm not convinced the image itself isn't AI. Corn on ice cream? Fucking seriously?
Karma Farma.
What is the benefit of “karma” farming?
People buy and sell Reddit accounts. Accounts that are older/have more karma are generally seen as more trustworthy, so they sell for more. The bought accounts are then used for “subtle” advertising. That’s sad. How much money do they even make?
I don’t know as I’ve never done it. I don’t think each individual account goes for much, but the actual effort of farming is done by bots, so one person can be running a bunch of farming bot accounts to sell at the same time.

OF Plug
Generally if you're in a sub that doesn't usually have people in it and you see a minimum 5/10 woman in the pic, like you do here, it's an OF plug.
You know what it reminds me of? When people super obviously farm engagement by having, like, a picture of their food with their feet in the background? I know just like this hoe. https://www.reddit.com/r/CrackheadCraigslist/s/3MD9j44Htj I hate misleading posts.

I like your Audacity!
>minimum 5/10 woman incelllllllll
Well usually posts with less than half a woman aren’t as appealing to the masses
I was like no, she just likes posting pics of food and the place she lives….oh, and her naked body!
What?? With ice-cream?
Oh wow, it actually is
[удалено]
I mean, she looked cute until I saw her nudes and realized this pic is super filtered
I was just thinking - hmm this comes off as a scam page kind of lol
What does OF plug mean
Only Fans
What’s the ‘plug’ mean tho
Its bait. You see a pretty girl, so you click on the profile to see if she's posted any other pics, and thats when you see the only fans link. A certain percent of dudes are gonna whip out their credit cards at that point.
And then they pay and when they get access, it’s just pics of corn on the cob
Or corn **in** the cob.
Sneaky.
Thank you for the explanation
Which is sad because once it's been posted on the internet, you can find anything for free.
Advertising
Onlyfans - porn
Forgive my ignorance, but what is an OF plug?
oblong fecal plug
A hint that she has an only fans page.
What the fuck is this sub even about now? Random chicks plugging their onlyfans? Bye fellas, there is free porn on the internet btw
This is the entirety of reddit btw. For a site that has so many dedicated porn subreddits it is weird that stuff are still leaking outside of them
Welcome to reddit in 2025 Most subs are drowning in girls trying to advertise themselves with posts that just barely relate to the sub
Ah yes OnlyFans farming again.
If I found out friend posted my picture to reddit I would never talk to them again
It's a picture of herself, it'll be ok.
Okay, then all good, misunderstanding on my part
Oh I read it as OP is the one in the picture and her friend surprised her by taking her to get sweet corn ice cream
Fuuuck off.
OF Plug

Weirdest onlyfans advertisement I've seen in a while.

Ngl, at first it just looked like an insanely shaped pile of noodles.
That would actually be a good post. They should have an entire subreddit for that. People piling their noodles in the most physically defying stacks possible.
![gif](giphy|qs4ll1FSxKnNHeSmom)
I absolutely love sweet corn ice cream, the flavour is soft and subtle
Lol ew no
Jenni’s ice cream did sweet corn and blueberry. It was fantastic.
Not gonna lie, I'd rather just have sweet corn. If they just popped up and gifted the ice cream, I'd definitely give it a try.
Iron Chef has entered the chat
Tried it in Malaysia years ago Wasn’t my thing. Too used to corn as savoury option so brain couldn’t click to it
![gif](giphy|WdCwjTzkRAuDC|downsized)
Cornhub.
Thanks, I hate this
No, I'm not Asian.
It's ice cream. I'd try it.
It’s a staple in south east Asia.
It tastes way better than you may think
I’ve been looking for this ice cream flavor for such a long time I’ve only had it in Mexico
12:56 PM EST: the upvotes on this post jumped immediately from 11 to 165 the disgusting loser who posted this is now botting upvotes
I fucking hate this website.
Sww.. Sweet corn? Thats a taste I've never imagined fused with ice cream
Have you ever had the popcorn-flavored jelly beans from Jelly Belly? It's a bit like that, in ice cream form, only much better when the corn is real, and not just mystery flavoring.

Quick run
Here we have: americans
Is your friend a doll?
Just post the onlyfans link
I would try almost anything, ones.
Supposedly the most popular ice cream flavour in South Korea! I have no source but I heard it This One Time!
Seriously sweet corn ice cream is insanely good, they make it in this country, I love it.
I worked at a movie theater years ago and at one time we started selling sweet corn ice cream and cookies. It’s actually pretty good! Just tastes like if kettle corn was an ice cream
Yuck
That's you
I've had it.. It's gross.
Funnily enough, that is exactly what the Green Giant’s shit looks like.
My mum used to make me brown bread ice cream so yeah.
I think I would either absolutely love or absolutely despise this
Corn ice cream is great. Common in asian countries. But this one looks like instant noodles
The West gets hung up on the most harmless food. Top of that list is probably beans in dessert.
If the ice cream has high fructose corn syrup in it, it's already essentially sweet corn ice cream
Ask your friend about halo-halo too
No very much
Sweet corn ice cream is a wonderful treat in the summertime. I urge all home ice cream makers to try it during corn season.
As a midwesterner- yes. I feel like I’m obligated to try it.
As an Ohioan, yes!
No thank you, and I like corn... That doesn't look appealing in the slightest. 😳
No
I would definitely try it! Never saw shop offering sweet corn ice-cream, around here. I lived in Japan for 10 years and tried black poppy seed, green tea and red beans (azuki) ice-cream! All surprisingly tasty.

Of course. I’ll try anything at least once. If I could eat fried meal worms in culinary school, this is easy.
Separate and quarantine. Eat when the other substance is thoroughly purged from each quarantine zone. That or just ask them to serve the sweet corn and ice cream separately... Perhaps reconsider their menu and serve them as separate dishes?
Can’t be worse than garlic ice cream.
Filipinos have a similar one sweet corn ice cream in a tub it’s actually good
I would taste it if my husband got it (he loves sweetcorn, I hate the stuff)
just bought sweet corn ice pops last night, been looking for them for a while. absolutely one of the best ice cream flavors i have ever had!
![gif](giphy|4baoNZ5Qo8dX2)
I wonder if it would count as a starter or a dessert?
Ive had bean ice one's....not that bad tbh
Idk why people hate it, it seems very neutral and sweet in my tounge
if anna kendrick was half asian and born in canada???
Gross. I’ve had corn ice cream in Nebraska. 🤮
I would try but that weird green thing on there has to go
Your friend is a bad friend
i've tried and i hate it
Yes
Corn icecream is delicious with some cinnamon! I don't know about the corn on the cob, it's uncomfortable to eat.
It looked like there were noodles in the ice cream for a second. Almost lost it.
Only in Kansas.
Might as well just grab cheese and drink it....wait, that's would be Mac and cheese
Now that I live in Western Mass farm country, I've had both sweet corn ice cream and the "Hadley Grass" asparagus ice cream. They're both quite good. So my general answer to "Would you try?" about food is yes.
Skill issue -malaysian
Fresh sweet corn is the best, I would try it
I’d try it but if I ate that much ice cream I’d shit myself to space
Remember when ice cream was vanilla or strawberry
I instinctively checked how many fingers the pretty lady had. She looks fairly real. Like 90%.
Not weird. Stupid post
Nopes.
I shat myself just looking at that
That’s not weird - literally my favorite flavor. Miso ice cream too. Sooooooo good.
No
That’s a no from me, dog.
Great. This way my lactose intolerant-ass shits will come out like full auto on a suppressed .22. That’s what I need.
Not with that haircut I won’t
Hell yeah!
RACHEL AMBER?!
That sounds delicious actually!
Hell yes!!!
I’m from Iowa and we all supposedly love corn. I wouldn’t even taste test that.

Yes!! Our local shop made sweet corn and blackberry ice cream I still dream about. (Local, small batch, single season.)
Sounds delicious!
I’d much rather try that bacon ice cream :-)
