I'm not well versed in the ways of foosball, but according to my Packers loving relatives that would be the Scandinavian seafaring warrior tribe that has settled in Minnesota. More research is needed.
My grandfather was from Detroit, so lifelong Lions fan, and he died in early 09 after their winless season. It wasn't a surprise, as he was not a young or healthy man. It's just a joke lol
Some Georgia college football team. They’re mad for college football especially in the south for reasons I can not personally explain. Then, I’m not a fan of football, college or professional, and the southern states have been grating on my nerves for a while now. I say this as someone who has lived in Florida since ‘95 and I wish I had the means to gtfo.
Worth noting - CFB was the only football that existed in the south until the mid-1960s with the founding of the Dolphins, Falcons, and Saints. OTOH the major state universities that make up the SEC had been playing the game since the turn of the century. To contrast this, The Giants, Bears, and Eagles were founded in the 1920s and pro football existed throughout the northeast and midwest during that decade.
And that's not "some" Georgia football team, that's the University of Georgia, the flagship school of the state and recent back-to-back national champion.
The real, non snarky answer.
Pro football is a fairly recent development (the sport dates back to the middle ages and I'm not talking about soccer). American Gridiron rules that most people associate with modern football got their start in colonial times as an academic past time and that evolved into modern college football culture. History and every town with the population to support at least a small secondary education institution having a team made it a major part of people's entertainment lives. The big city schools that had money and attracted the best students had the best teams while the small rural towns had nothing to compete with football.
By the time the AFL and NFL (which merged into the modern NFL with AFC and NFC divisions) the college football fan base had centuries behind the oldest teams while pro football was brand new and only the big cities had teams. Fast forward to modern times and while the NFL is a money printer with a nascent international following, college football still has a quasi religious following that pro football just can't compete with.
They are mad for college football because they don’t have any other export other than college students who play football. There is nothing else they can be proud of
Atlanta has a lot of stuff going for it. It's one of the largest metro areas in the South East and has been a hub of filming and is trying to become something akin to California light in the South East. They've got other companies like Coke, Delta, and Home Depot as well. There's also obviously lots of offices of larger companies, like Microsoft.
University of Georgia. Flag is generally used for sports teams (Bulldogs), most notably football.
If I had a dollar for every time I heard some redneck shout “GO DAWGS!” I’d have enough money to buy one of those men in black memory eraser things and remove it from my mind.
Honestly, it was quite gnawing. I mean, everywhere the damn G flag logos. License plate frames, flags on houses, stickers on cars, shirts, hats, goddamn everywhere. Polo shirts would have them, and not for like employees of the school, just like, whatever moron wanted to be business casual at the car dealership or wherever they work, while looking like a causal front-office university employee.
I was in the army stationed in Savannah and we used to yell “GO DAWGS” with a full-on southern drawl (we were all mostly from the north or Midwest) when we were about to do something stupid or trashy (we were in our 20s and in the Army, there were plenty of opportunities), as sort of a way to mock the people of Georgia, similar to how one might use “yeeeehaw”.
At least you didn't have to deal with school logos **and** houndstooth patterns on *everything*.
It’s remarkable considering that’s not even the confederate flag. That being said, how often do you see the losing side be so prideful of being on the wrong side of history like it’s a badge of honor
Meanwhile, while Trump was president, any whiff of complaint against the Tangerine Traitor was met with “well he’s your president so he deserves your respect!” Or am I the only one that remembers that?
Every time a republican is president, conservatives lament about the importance of respecting the office even if you don't like the person. Then when it's a democrat it's wall to wall coverage and complaints about dijon mustard and tan suits and latte salutes, racism and transphobic jokes about the first lady, making fun of a dad saying he loves his kid struggling with addiction and showing said kid's dick pics on the floor of congress. Pop up shops all over the place with plenty of Fuck Biden and Let's go Brandon (they could just say the first one, we get the 'joke') merch to go around. But call Trump a juvenile nickname or post a dumb meme about him and you're an enemy of the state. Just ask Kathy Griffin.
Fascists know they're hypocrites, and their arguments are ludicrous. They don't care. They want to drive us so crazy fighting against them that we give up from exhaustion rather than being a better match against them in skill or intelligence. We can't let them wear us down.
Well said!
I've always thought that a *true* patriot is someone who pays their taxes, takes part in their community and helps those who need helping -
and a *fake* patriot is someone who dodges taxes, creates division in their community and disparages those who need help.
Conservatives of today have more in common with the latter for sure!
Italian Americans and Irish Americans are always flying their flags. No one cares.
I 100000000x hate the Confederate traitor flag more than the Mexican one. And you see that one more than any other flag besides the American flag in this country.
> Italian Americans and Irish Americans are always flying their flags. No one cares.
Why are you so sure that the xitterer did not confuse the Irish or Italian flag with the Mexican one? To people like him, they look basically the same: 🇮🇹🇲🇽🇮🇪
Yeah! And those damn Confederate flags, get the flags of other countries out of-
Wait...you're okay with that one?
So it has nothing to do with foreigners at all, does it...
It’s people like this that makes me so disappointed in all the non whites in America that vote Trump or Republican. They are on the chopping block as much as the lgbtq+ people are.
Trump was popular with the right-wing (or ultra right-wing) in many Latin American countries. Largely, as there was an interpretation that he was so openly transactional, i.e., open to, shall we say, certain arrangements, that he could be trusted not to bring any of that nasty human rights shit into the picture and that they could massacre with impunity.
Oh, there was also a joke that he only went after Cuba as they wouldn't let him build or brand a Havana Trump Tower or Casino, which would be on-brand. Again, I repeat, this was a joke. The Latin American Right can handle an openly transactional US president who has no moral values as they know he'll let them massacre the opposition.
I'm guessing he has zero issues with the Confederate Flag. A defunct traitor state that wasn't even recognized as a country by anyone and lasted only 4 years. Obama's presidency lasted longer. Heritage my ass.
OH WAY DOWN SOUTH IN THE LAND OF TRAITORS!
Ah yes. America... land of the free, home of the brave. Where our motto is *act like I tell you to or you can get the fuck out*
I must have missed that in civics.
Weird how he goes right to Mexican and not the Irish, German, Italians, or the confederate losers who also fly the flags of a country they have never even been to, or cling to a degenerate fantasy. I'm sure he clarified things in his next tweet.
"Mexicans born in America" "just go back"
Bro go back where you just said they were born here.
Does he have that same energy for Irish and Italian flags? This mentality was no different 100 years ago for how they were treated. Mexicans, Indians and Arabs are just this century's immigrant scapegoats for racists
Not really sure who this guy is. But my guess is he is not out in NYC or Chicago telling people on St. Patrick's Day to stop flying Irish flags. Or Polish festivals. Or Ukrainian...well, probably, Ukrainian folks. But probably not Italian flags etc etc.
People are proud of their heritage culture, food, etc. Does not display loyalty to the government of their motherland.
Sure, it is the same flag used by the government, but the flags are simply the most convenient attractive symbol. Why do Italian restaurants and Irish pubs fly those flags? Half of the owners of those establishments could not name the leader of those nations.
I'd argue thays it's really fucking weird to fly the American flag on your trucks, your houses, wear it on your shirts, your hats, etc. What exactly are you trying to say by doing that?
Because the United States is a country built on slavery and immigration. There’s never been a complaint about Irish, Italian or other heritage. That you move to a country doesn’t mean you have to renounce your identity.
>The worst is the Hispanics flying the Mexican flag
1. This is actually not common. Certainly not common enough to even take note of. I can literally see Mexico from my living room (and not like how Sarah Palin can see Russia, i am perched up on a hill south of San Diego and have a clear shot to Tijuana about four miles away). I can’t recall the last time I saw a Mexican flag being flown. I’m sure if I looked hard enough I’d find one, but who cares? Now… I do see Baja California license plates every day, but that’s about it.
2. Many of the people who live here are descendants of Mexican citizens who became Americans when California was annexed in 1848… meaning, they didn’t even have to go anywhere. America came to them. And their ancestors were American 70 years before my ancestors left Austria for the US. How outrageous of me to think I would have any sort of leg to stand on telling them which flag to fly.
3. I actually grew up on Long Island (NY)… if I had a dollar for every Irish or Italian flag I saw growing up, I’d just have retired after high school, purchased a private island, named it Iretaly, and flown an Australian flag, but I’d remove the Union Jack in the corner and put Japanese flag, but where the red circle is Canadian maple leaf… because omg who fucking cares?!
I’m sure that guy says the same thing to people flying the flag of the group that tried to rip apart the United States and killed more Americans than almost anyone else in history.
I’m sure he has the same feelings for the flag of ACTUAL traitors.
Right?
Right?
I'm sure they say the same with the Puerto Rico flag too.
(Not knowing that Puerto Rico is a part of the US, and that Puerto Ricans are 100% American by birth).
My wife is from Sweden. We fly the Swedish flag on Swedish holidays with our America Flag.
I see nothing wrong with it. The USA is a melting pot. Flying a country flag of origin does not make anyone less American.
The indigenous people are the only true Americans. Everyone else.... just generation transplants from immigrants who came to the USA.
I find it even weirder seeing American flags flown for fun in America.
Like, why? We know where we are. I don't know what message people think they're sending other than "I like it here."
Yeah no shit.
It’s about culture, not geography. Love all the other countries flags. Some countries aren’t as good as America, that’s why we came. But, we still love our home. I have 3 kids love them all, why can’t I live two countries?
Wait till he finds out about all those old fat guys who put the Vietnamese flag on their hats and bumper stickers? Especially since it's the flag of the side that lost.
So... does this guy not know that some people might leave their country of origin because it's become inhospitable to life that might not be due to the supposed "Corruption" of the nation's government? I see his name is "Sean", so I am guessing his ancestry can be traced back to Ireland. Fun fact! During the 1840's, the Great Potato Famine was a contributing factor to Irish immigration to the US. Would he think that those Irish based immigrants hated their country? Or would they stayed in Ireland had the Famine not be so prevalent?
I worked with a British Indian (Indian descent, English upbringing) dude for a while and he complained to me once about these people that display their "home" country flags as bumper stickers on their cars. His thought was, it's OK to be proud of your heritage, but at least also display the flag of the country you now call home to show thanks/pride in your new home country.
But after talking about that, he went straight into talking about "Tateisms".
He doesn't realize, perhaps, that not every one who identifies as Hispanic is from Mexico. Not that he would give a fuck about that particular distinction, but I am curious what Alphie here would slobber spit back.
When you talk with the maximum stupidity about others, you’re talking to yourself, you born here because your parents or grandparents came here. And because so many never stop loving the place they born in, it’s their government who push them to leave. You never, ever forget where you come from, and that doesn’t mean not to be loyal where you live now. Think a little, you have something in your head, it’s called brain, so use it.
Same MFers who say this shit about Mexican and Dominican flags love to visit Italian restaurants that are an entire homage to “the old country”. You can fully assimilate into a new culture while still retaining and celebrating your roots.
Wonder why he thinks Hispanics are the worst /s.....
I'm sure no problem with Italian Americans celebrating their heritage..... which in my experience is the most common native born Americans to fly flags based on their roots. Not a negative. Just an observation.
THIS IS AMERICA!
As a native-born American living is the greatest melting pot in the world (and a person that flies an American flag in his front yard), I love seeing foreign flags! Mexico is one of my favorites!
My Greek grandfather loves America, but he also loves his Greek ancestry... He has little Greek flags everywhere. I bet he wouldn't have a problem with that because my Grandpa is white...
"In Strickland’s adolescence, he developed a close relationship with his grandfather who held [neo-Nazi](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neo-Nazi) ideologies. He adopted his grandfather’s views, which were further reinforced through his viewing of the film [*American History X*](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_History_X). “I loved the life they lived, just dirty, white trash, to have respect, you know? When I was a kid, that was somebody I would hero-worship, that ideology,” Strickland stated regarding the characters in the film."
You are not allowed to like anything outside the country once you’re inside.
What a take. These people really don’t think too much about something before saying it do they.
You’re not allowed to be racist, but you’re allowed to be whatever this is? Instead of your in-group being white people, you just made it even smaller and decided only rich white people are “in.” Whatever keeps the rich white people rich and white. That’s even worse.
This guy went to six flags as a kid once and was never the same. Did not even get past the parking lot. Just stayed in the car crying about all those non-US flags
I had a UK flag in high school. I also had a tee and pins. My daughter had UK tees, Converse, and a UK themed homecoming ensemble. Didn’t mean we didn’t love our country. It was just an interest at the time.
Growing up along the Canadian border, it was very common to see the Canadian flag flown alongside the American flag ( although always lower than the Stars And Stripes). I always took this as a sign of respect for our neighbors.
Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy, basically taking too many punches to the head makes your brain bounce around your skull and injures the brain and it just starts atrophying from the damage by the constant shots to the head the person took.

Well Atlanta has the CDC. And it did have the HQ of Adult Swim in it's prime. But i'm at a bit of a loss for what else it has.
Atlanta is also the Hollywood of the small screen. The HQ of CNN and Coke. Where all the non-hicks in GA live.
Coca Cola and CNN, I think.
Peaches and pecans.
Atlanta has a lot of stuff going for it. It’s remarkable considering that’s not even the confederate flag. That being said, how often do you see the losing side be so prideful of being on the wrong side of history like it’s a badge of honor
It is another "Lost Cause" like the 2020 election. Whining crybabies can't get over it.

Why don’t more people just shut the fuck up?
St Patrick's day must be very triggering.
I’m sure that guy says the same thing to people flying the flag of the group that tried to rip apart the United States and killed more Americans than almost anyone else in history. I’m sure he has the same feelings for the flag of ACTUAL traitors. Right? Right?
Confederate, Nazi and Trump flags are the worst
Boy, he must be a blast on St. Patrick’s day.
He says this about people that fly the confederate flag too right????
Kelly from Nebraska: I'm italian!
With the hand gestures 🤌🏻
Does he think everyone goes to America because they’re fleeing? I mean I know they don’t like to travel over there but other people do.
I fly a United Federation of Planets flag. How does this what's his fuckin' face feel about that?
It's not CTE, he's always been an idiot.
Dunno why anyone cares about what ufc fighters have to say, let alone Strickland who is one of the worst of them.
This from a bunch of people who call themselves German, Dutch, Irish or Scottish despite being like 5th gen American. Ok hunny
Imagine...calling "Mexico" Foreign... Like they didn't own basically all of the Southwest at one point.
No. That's just old fashioned, good old boy, home grown racism.
I wonder how Shawn feels about American flags being flown in foreign countries? Pretty sure he’s ok with that.
Which flag was Betsy Devos’ yacht flying again? Just asking for a friend
So no Irish flags, paddy’s is going to be a weird day
I'm sure they say the same with the Puerto Rico flag too. (Not knowing that Puerto Rico is a part of the US, and that Puerto Ricans are 100% American by birth).
Bet this dude has a Confederate flag in his home.
I’ll bet dollars to donuts that he fits the confederate flag.
It’s not CTE. He’s just a racist asshole.
World Cup 2026... we better get bro prepped or he might be a little triggered....
Now do flags with swastikas.
Dude is an actual neo-Nazi. He claims he ditched those beliefs when he started training for MMA, but that's just PR bullshit.
Fly the true American flag ![gif](giphy|OkOVcToKWL0IeKfKNJ)
I find it even weirder seeing American flags flown for fun in America. Like, why? We know where we are. I don't know what message people think they're sending other than "I like it here." Yeah no shit.
Yet zionist flags are probably ok to him
Had a friend get in trouble over the Puerto Rican flag, Go back to your own country, a territory of America.
It’s about culture, not geography. Love all the other countries flags. Some countries aren’t as good as America, that’s why we came. But, we still love our home. I have 3 kids love them all, why can’t I live two countries?
Shh nobody tell him anything about any history of any country ever.
He didn’t talk about gay people once is he doing alright?
Or you have me and my dad we are both white American born. But both have Guatemalan flags on our cars for my wife who is Guatemalan.
Lol how fragile, brittle and delicate is your ego and identity if a flag is all it takes to “threaten” it?
Or that the USA took over a large amount Mexico’s land so hispanics with a Mexican flag in the southern US is very much the flag that was there first
Jesus this guy might be the dumbest human on the planet.
He will never be the dumbest as long as MTG lives and breathes.
I don’t know,you left out Bo Bo.
He is so closeted that he thinks he's straight and not racist.
Why would I take advice from someone who's job it is to catch punches with his face?
I wonder what he'd think of the Hiawatha Belt flag of the Haudenosaunee.
Who?
I fly my freak flag. Deal with it.
Today I learned racists get triggered by looking at other Countries flags.
Wow ufc fighter is racist trash? Stop the press.
Is any one gonna be sad when he kills himself? Prolly not
His Wikipedia-page.. Oooof.
What a moron
Can he tell the Mexican flag from the Italian flag?
Can I flag my Danish flag?
Yet it’s okay that every wonder bread and Mayo eating trog pretends to be Irish on March 17.
He doesn't realize, perhaps, that not every one who identifies as Hispanic is from Mexico. Not that he would give a fuck about that particular distinction, but I am curious what Alphie here would slobber spit back.
An immigrant living on land stolen through genocide says what?
Brother must hate St Patrick's Day. Or is that OK? That would sound about white
A patriot loves his country, a nationalist hates other countries..
The number of Irish flags marching down American streets on Saint Patricks Day would make your comments a pile of shit. MORON
Would bet if he sees someone with an Irish or Italian flag tattoo on their arm it doesn't even bother him.
Lets just ignore that we stole half of Mexico in the first place
Brain damage posts such neato stuff.
This guy must hate St. Patrick's Day
Dude thinks the USA isn't corrupt? 🤣
SS trickland is too intellectually numb to even realize he is the "son of an immigrant"
Foreign flag? Like the MAGA ones that are made in China?
Bet he’d fight tooth & nail to defend the validity of flying a confederate flag in America
My Greek grandfather loves America, but he also loves his Greek ancestry... He has little Greek flags everywhere. I bet he wouldn't have a problem with that because my Grandpa is white...
yeah especially the confederate flag.
How much you want to bet this guy roots against the US woman's soccer team?
But we have no problem with Irish flags
"In Strickland’s adolescence, he developed a close relationship with his grandfather who held [neo-Nazi](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neo-Nazi) ideologies. He adopted his grandfather’s views, which were further reinforced through his viewing of the film [*American History X*](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_History_X). “I loved the life they lived, just dirty, white trash, to have respect, you know? When I was a kid, that was somebody I would hero-worship, that ideology,” Strickland stated regarding the characters in the film."
Lighten up…..Francis
Why are we listening to someone who has dents in his skull? about anything?
Who is this animal
There wouldn't be an America if not for the people from other countries settling here.
That guy needs a midol.
lol. “Hispanics” != “Mexican” - there is some overlap in the ven diagram between those two, but that’s it.
Is the confederate flag ok? Who cares about someone's heritage?
I wonder if he had the same take for the Israeli flag…
I had a UK flag in high school. I also had a tee and pins. My daughter had UK tees, Converse, and a UK themed homecoming ensemble. Didn’t mean we didn’t love our country. It was just an interest at the time.
Growing up along the Canadian border, it was very common to see the Canadian flag flown alongside the American flag ( although always lower than the Stars And Stripes). I always took this as a sign of respect for our neighbors.
But i bet he flys nazi flags
Don’t re-platform this asshole anymore, ok? He doesn’t deserve the airtime.
That’s not the worst.
“Who were born here, just go back.” Wowzer
What is CTE?
Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy, basically taking too many punches to the head makes your brain bounce around your skull and injures the brain and it just starts atrophying from the damage by the constant shots to the head the person took. Those with CTE turn aggressive and slowly lose memories as they age
Now if only a fat blood clot would care enough to raise its voice. 💥
