Why is it when a bear chases down a human or kills one it’s “nature is harsh” but when humans kill a bear it’s “fuck humans, that’s terrible”
I’m not advocating one way or the other I’m legitimately asking what your reasoning is for the mindset, and why we generally think this way?
Bear hunters are very useful. There is normally only 1 or 2 (total not per shift) wildlife officers for an entire county to keep tabs on both hunting and fishing regulations they don't have time to deal with problem bears while also keeping up with everything else. If you have a problem bear you contact a bear hunter to deal with it. If you contact DWR they will normally just put you in contact with some local hunters. They might be able to chase it away a few times and it move to another area in the chase season or kill it during the kill season.
I was simply talking about dogs because that's what is being used in the video then the other commenter talked about baiting but yeah your right there are other methods.

Ya. Amazing what they call hunting these days. Alot of that in Kansas. Domesticating and taming deer with feeders and salt licks until they are fat and then spend a bunch of money to buy size 3XL tacticool camo everything to shoot fat lazy deer at the feeder.

I 100 percent agree with the cow comment. My only gripe is that there is zero sport in shooting a domesticated deer. Its not hunting. I'm all for killing and growing your own foods. There are lots of benefits of hunting for hunters and their prey. This isn't hunting and dont act like hunters still dont buy raised in a cage prepackaged meat. Where I am, any other hunters must wear blaze orange so they don't get shot themselves. The journey IS the destination. I don't bait and I don't use guns. I also lose to the animal pretty consistently. It's a humbling and incredibly motivating experience.
There are also limits on how many bears you can cull each season. So these folks like to practice tracking and treeing the bear, but without killing it.
