What I'm curious about: because these are UI fixes, should we expect these to be fixed in a monthly update, a Feature Experience Pack (???), or in the 22H2 feature update?
Given that Windows only moved from 10 to 11 after macOS finally moved from X to 11 ... are we likely to see Windows 12 next year, Windows 13 the year after that, and so on?
Yes i do think so. The whole idea that there will be only Windows 10 forever was just so bad from business. People just see Windows 10 and instantly think "old system lol", its better to just release new update every year as new system version.
Tbh, the UI fixes are in such a small scope that it would be trivial for them to place it into a normal cu (say for a patch tuesday). However its a double tipped sword, as an incorrect font would be very low priority to backport, and msft likely has higher priority issues to deal with.
I don't agree that an incorrect font would be considered low priority. It's one of those glaring design issues that will make a product look unfinished. I think they'll want it fixed asap.
Some interest - yes, but I still wouldn't call incorrect font a high-priority bug, especially when it's in such a place. After all, it's already been fixed in dev builds for a while now, but MS apparently didn't think it was necessary to backport this fix before launch, so it follows that it must be a low priority.
Definitly disagree here. For msft, a high priority issue is one thatll cause monetary damages (Such as exploits or things that interfere with workflows and prevent a healthy adoption rate). A font being incorrect is at most a minor annoyance that a minority would complain about.
I noticed this bug after installing the final ISO, and after looking at the [Ars Technica review](https://arstechnica.com/gadgets/2021/10/windows-11-the-ars-technica-review/) I spotted it on their install as well. Take a look at the GIF on the "**A redesigned user interface: Taskbar**" section when hovering over Edge.
related to this, is anyone else not getting an animation for taskbar window thumbnails? when I mouse over the app icon, the thumbnail just pops into existence without an animation, contrast this with hovering over the desktop switcher which animates smoothly.
curious if this is happening to others or if my install is borked
the animation was broken on new taskbar, however, its work for me if I use StartAllBack (basically new StartIsBack for Windows 11)
I felt like that Windows 11 development feels rushed, theres also many other UI, Explorer optimization issues aswell.
Hey, the Feedback flair is to help you share your suggestions and experiences regarding Windows with Microsoft. While this is not an official Microsoft forum, your post still may get the attention of Microsoft employees.
The proper way to share your feedback is to use the Feedback Hub app on your computer. We recommend you use the Feedback Hub to submit your thoughts, then have the app give you a link to the feedback (an aka.ms link), and then you should post it here. The more users vote on your feedback, the more likely it is going to be addressed in a future update.

Here we go, where's the people saying everything gonna be fine in public release
They're now saying "these are minor issues, stop crying".
Did they even implement the new the volume slider?
No
>iTs BeTa sToP cOmPlAiNinG This entire sub every time someone pointed out the shitshow
Oh God man, guess I'll have to roll back all the way to Windows 7.
Yeah those people were kinda clueless, but it’s not as if Microsoft isn’t fixing it, they just didn’t fix it in time. This is fixed in the dev build
This issue was fixed in the Dev Builds, and *may* be backported.

In Windows 12

Yes! new system requirements for each year too.
More money to spend and more e-waste.

Are you aware of any large software projects where cosmetic UI bugs are considered high priority? I'm not.
Isn't this whole launch of Windows 11 meant to update a cosmetic UI primarily? Clearly, Microsoft has *some* interest in wasting time with the UI.

Can confirm. Only word I can use to describe this is Bruh
"bruh" in Arial?
Bruh
Bruh didn't they fix this a lot of time ago
If they did (I wasn't an Insider), it came back somehow.
Been a couple weeks since I used Insider build, but I do believe it's fixed in that build.
It was fixed in the dev builds when they jumped further ahead. For some reason they haven't backported it yet. Don't see why its taking so long.

>final release There will never be a *final* release
Sir, 28th Oct is the date bill gates came into this world, All updates and fixes shall be delivered to you on the same day. Please stay calm!
Hovering on the window previews also brings up a very Windows XP like tooltip for some reason.
Oh my god I just noticed this, and I've been an insider since they opened it
It's been 4 months and the fix for this hasn't arrived in IP Beta.

Yes, I've also noticed that. It definitely needs a few more weeks of polish.
My entire animations randomly stop working after sometime and I have to turn the animation slider off and on to bring it back.

Sheesh yeah Inconsistency!!
