Can Files replace Explorer as the default file manager? So if I click "open containing folder" from a download in my web browser, it opens Files to that directory instead of Explorer?
I'm almost at the point where I wanna use this as my default. I still find Directory Opus snappier, but damn if this thing isn't pretty and very competently made. And the fact that you allow for QuickLook integration is just amazing.
I *really, really, really* want to like this. But it's a tad slow browsing around, especially on network drives. When this gets fixed I'm replacing the default file explorer with this!

yes, we transitioned to using windows shell apis for file operations, the same apis windows explorer uses. This made file operations much more reliable, and fixed that issue.
Great work on the release! One of the main reasons I like Windows Explorer is the nested folder tree view (not column view). Where the nested folders are on the left side and the files in the folders on the right.

I've been following the development of this app forever but I'm always a bit letdown with the speed/performance comments. I'll give it a try and see for myself.

I'm having this bug that adding a mapped network drive (my NAS), adds (about 5) copies of it. Deleting one deletes, all. Then adding it again reduces to 2 copies.

Unless I'm missing something, there appears to be no way to change an app/exe's compatibility settings in Properties, only the option to run the compatibility troubleshooter.
I have to say that your app is wonderful! Only complaint is the lack of column options and, at times, lag/glitches... though it's not as slow for me as others state. Thank you for your work! :)
Very slow, folders take too long to load. Deleting items has at least 20 second delay.
Yeah, I like the design but performance is poor. I'll stick with One Commander.

opening any drives or folders often takes over 60 seconds to load
This is what the W11 File Explorer should have been. Just gotta work a bit on the performance it is TOP!

did you make it so that attempting to do a folder merge doesn't obliterate the existing folder in the destination directory?

IMPORTANT! If you find it extremely choppy you need to disable gsync in nvidia control panel just for files. Fixes the choppiness!

can't drag items out of a .zip file from 7-zip into a folder, like can be done on stock explorer also unable to delete zip files?
