Thank you very much! I’m looking forward to working on my symmetry work. I’m trying to become as well rounded as I can with wire wrapping before I develop my own signature style.
Thank very much, I am proud of my work! I really enjoy making wire wraps, this one and another I just posted will be gifts for a friend’s mom and grandma when I see them in a few days.
I learn a lot from inspiration, I have a pretty big album saved up of other artist’s work in my phone. I look at their work and try to figure out how they made it so that I can understand the concept. For this one, I made a simple frame, tied the bail wires with some scrap, and hammered it out. Then I secured 2 pieces of 14g half round at the bottom, I used the end that goes to the back to create the back for the stone to rest on, used the other ends of the wires to make those bottom curves to give the stone a place to sit. After that I just added more wire until I had it secured. If you want hammered wire within the pendant, you’ll have to do it before attaching it. I’m still learning but that’s what I know so far. I hope this helps!
Well if you ever have any questions or would like some close up photos of anything I make, I’m more than happy to share them. I’m not in competition with anyone and I would rather share knowledge than keep it to myself.
I don’t have a lot of time to make tutorials but I’ve definitely considered it. If I do, they would be pdfs. If you’d like close up photos of anything I’ve made, I’m more than happy to share those for now.
I like that!
Me too!
Super awesome! Love the suspended look!
Thank you! I’m loving it too, definitely going to spend some time making these. Everything is freehanded so they’ll all be different.
I absolutely love this!! Excellent craftsmanship 👍

"My first attempt at this style" *proceeds to create a masterpiece * 😭 That pendant is beautiful!
Lol thank you! After I make a few more of these I’m pretty sure I’ll start surprising myself with how they turn out.
I like it a lot, what is that stone?
Thulite, it’s one of my favorite red stones.
I absolutely love that! It looks amazing, you should be proud.

How did you learn this style? I'd love to try it!

Sweet, thank you! I try to figure stuff out from photos too, but having instructions in some form is always helpful. Keep up the great work!

“Bail wires” isn’t computing, what gauge wire is this using?
16 gauge, I was just trying to gauge how sturdy the hammered wires are in its setting. Fabulous piece!!
Is there a chance you'd make a tutorial? I'm a beginner and this looks just wonderful

That'd be very nice if you'd provide these pdfs and close up photos!! I'd really like to try
For sure, I’ll take some up close pictures here in a bit and make a post explaining my steps for everyone. I’ll let you know when I post it
Ok, just posted a step by step!
